One year after the events of “The Calling”, the Collins twins are settling into the changes in their lives. Ceridwen and Patrick are now married and trying to figure out the best time to bring a new heir into the pack. Meanwhile, Darcy and Tamsin are planning a wedding as well as their future.

With everything going so well, Ceri decides the time is right to start working on her dream project. Enlisting help from Tamsin, they begin working on a cure for vampirism. They keep their work secret, even from their mates as they know their significant others would never allow them to work on such a project.

They soon find out that keeping their work a secret isn’t so easy. Especially with overly cautious alphas and growing suspicious from an old acquaintance. The doctors’ good intentions might just put the pack, as well as the entire supernatural community, in great danger.

This was almost as much fun as the previous book in the series.
Granted, there were moments when it was laughably predictable, but the overall quality of the story and the characters kept it from becoming ridiculously tropey.

The cover still gets full marks, just like it's precedessor

I’m really liking the shared leadership of the pack and twin thing in The Collins Trilogy. I was excited to get my hands on this book after reading the first one because of how different the werewolf story has been written. This story wasn’t intense with drama and life or death danger but I liked it all the same.

I just can’t wait to read the final book and I’ve my fingers crossed that the bringers of change are Darcy and Tamsin... with a bun in the oven.

The Cure is an interesting addition to the Collins trilogy and I was really looking forward to read the second book because the first one leaves the readers, with a hope for more entertainment and excitement in the second part.

One year after the events of "The Calling", the Collins twins are settling into the changes in their lives. Ceridwen and Patrick are now married and trying to figure out the best time to bring a new heir into the pack. Meanwhile, Darcy and Tamsin are planning a wedding as well as their future.

Things have really gone well it seems but things are not so easy when it comes to the Collins world, even now, thie book is full of quotes excitement and anticipation, it's filled out with many twists and turns and you actually see the characters growing up so well, this is a great book which actually explores more of Patrick's and Ceri's relationship as well as Tamsin's and Darcy's relationship. I thought this would be filled with more of action but I am so happy that it has some mushy gushy romance and some fun scenarios, especially between Darcy and Tamsin.
.
.
I was definitely glued to the story because things were going pretty realistic, even the characters belong to a complete different world, you feel connected and that's because of the great writing. I definitely enjoyed it and it's a great sequel.

Love is love

If I didn’t mention how much I loved being in this world the first time around, let me say it now...I love this story! I can’t really figure out what it is. Maybe it’s the characters or the writing itself. This book was just as enjoyable as the first, and I honestly can’t wait to read where the story goes in the next installment.

Book Name: The Cure

Genre: Fantasy

Summary: One year after the events of "The Calling", the Collins twins are settling into the changes in their lives.

My Opinion: This is the second book in the Collins trilogy, it's the continuation of the first book but it's forwarded to an year ahead and then the story continues in an amazing way. Firstly, after reading the first book, I was so eager to see what happens next because there were many things and relationships that started in the first book which are so well developed in this book. The relationship between Ceri and Patrick, Darcy and Tamsin, they are pretty well developed. The readers are shown a new side of the storyline which makes it more interesting. This book fits in for kind of readers because it has a flavor of everything a reader looks for. I felt this was short as well as fast paced than the first book. I totally liked it.

Good and Bad: I loved how the fantasy element is more developed here, the relationship between the characters is presented in a more enhanced way, we get to see the new sides of the characters. There are many twists and turns, it makes it more gripping.

My favorites from the book:

I loved how the fantasy element was more focused here, the language and storytelling is lucid as well as dreamy, you will learn so much about the pack in this part.

Target Audience: I would say, anyone who enjoys good fantasy and also a bit of romance.

What to expect: Fantasy, romance, drama, fun, adventure and conquering.

Final verdict: I will definitely suggest this book to y'all.

Intriguing and packed with action!

The Collins twins, Ceri and Darcy are going through changes in their lives and with their mates to settle down in life. Ceri is still working hard on a project of her dreams with Darcy’s betrothed mate Tamsin and they have to keep this secret from Darcy and Patrick which is no easy feat. However, whilst they are busy working on their secret project, Darcy is processing the possibilities of developing a future for her and Tamsin. It is the appearance of an old acquaintance that is the trouble, and could have devastating consequences for them all.

I loved the development of the story in the second instalment of The Collins Trilogy. It was great to be back in the thick of things with Darcy, Ceri and the Collins family as life progressed and futures were decided. It’s the importance of the project Ceri is working on that balances with the drama of everything Darcy and Tamsin are going through to make the final commitments to one another as mates and build their future.

I had no idea how this was going to work out, and I loved the surprises that popped up along the way not only for the reader, but for Darcy and Ceri. There were many an unexpected moment that built drama or discovery that changed the course of their path and current aspirations. Those moments really made the story, kept the intrigue and have left me excited to see what the third book in the trilogy holds for them all! I don’t doubt it will be exciting!

A great paranormal fantasy series for any lovers of vampires and werewolves that you can really sink your teeth into.

After the fascinating Book 1 "The Calling", the Book 2 "The Cure" is here with its fantastical imagery and imagination.
In this supernatural story, Kate's characters are strong, believable and charming (Darcy being my favourite). With strong characterization, she provides you opportunity to explore the world she build for her characters. .
It would be a while after this that I enjoy a fantasy read without its comparison with The Cure by Kate Hershberger. .
Throughout fun, toe-curling and transfixing. The paranormal vivifying story, is the one you cannot miss for the beautiful relationships portrayed and the thrilling fantasy yielded through hardworking.
I would give this Book 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 just like the Book 1 because it is beautiful and captivating. Recommended to the readers of Fantasy (LGBT). Looking forward to the Finale to see how Kate's resolves Collins trilogy.

interesting concept and it almost felt like a feel good story

This one was waaaaay less dramatic than the previous one, and the outcome though was good made me suspicious because things couldn't be that easy. Like, am I that burned by other stories that I cannot have a nice, almost drama free-plot? (Though, was it?)

I loved Ceri and Tamsin friendship building, they are fun to watch, but I cannot say the same about the alphas, I love them, don't get me wrong, but the whole "I won't allow it" bit going on, got under my skin. But Tamsin handling it with a iron fist just made it worthwhile, that was satisfying, ngl. Anyway, I'm very curious of what's in book 3.

Just like the first book, this was a very enjoyable read, continuing on with the story of the Collins' twins, and their mates. It was great to see more of their life, along with more exploration of the supernatural community. Definitely more supernatural than romance, given that the relationships have already been established, but there was a lot to love about the story, and looking forward to reading the last book.
