The Cost of Leveling Up
The interactive gaming world of Infinite Realms has become the biggest entertainment franchise ever. Their live action arena events, known as Broadcasts, dominate the television ratings and are making stars out of gamers.
In Jasmine's first Broadcast she pulls off an incredible attack with a custom device she designed. Before she gets home that evening, she finds herself famous. Now she has to deal with the fame and all that goes with it, the good, the bad, and the really uncomfortable.

Good read
Brazee-Cannon pens a good story in The Cost of Leveling Up. I haven't read anything from this author before, and I really enjoyed this story. The book was comparable to real life and events, and it made it more relatable, especially now. It's a well-written story, and the characters felt very real, and it drew out emotions and introduced a character that was well-beyond the ability to dislike. This story was intriguing and kept the reader guessing. I didn't quite understand the title until I read the story, and it is a very good read. It's a great story to follow and try to figure out what will happen next. This author's characters develop and interacts well with the other characters. The ending was not disappointing, either. I look forward to reading many more stories by this author, and maybe some repeats. Amy's Bookshelf Reviews definitely recommends this story.

I thought this was very engaging. All of the chapters where they’re inside the Game just pulled me in.

July 29, 2019Story takes place in a future with enhanced virtual reality arenas. The protagonist is a girl who created a cross-over tool to use "magic" in a technological realm.
The antagonist is a wealthy person with both Narcissistic Personality Disorder & Fixed Delusional Disorder, who when he's not allowed to sponsor the next adventure, hires hackers to hack into it and get his revenge.
