Worth The Wait

Rate this book
“I've waited my entire life for a woman like you. You're the only thing that makes sense in my world, and I don’t want that to ever change.” –Channing

Channing and Solé weren’t confused about the spark between them. It had been there since the day they started working together. But over the years, it had intensified. Their attempts to keep things professional had gradually turned into a wasted effort.

Now, they were stuck. Stuck doing this dance, going back and forth with each other without saying how they truly felt. She would give in to him. He would give in to her. Then, suddenly, one of them would pull back. But life has a way of making sure the heart gets exactly what it wants. Will Channing and Solé fully open their eyes and follow the path that brings them together? Or will they allow the opinions of others to trick them into believing that they’re better off as friends?

Loved, loved, loved this one!

Sole' and Channing had me hooked on them from the first few pages, and by the time they made it official, I was in heaven. Yes, I loved this couple together, and their relationship was dope. Sole' mom is a trip, I would love to see her and Tim's story. Yes Ace- the story was worth the wait!.

I knew I was going to love Channing and Solé’s story from the first book and they didn’t disappoint. I hated the insecurities they both had but I understand that past hurt made them that way. I’m glad they were able to work through their issues and finally give each other the love they deserved. I loved the update on Messiah and Ausha and their mother needs her own book because she was comical!…. Also I would love to read about Derek and Elaina but I can’t find their story. Do they have one?! Questions that need answers!

Lawd!

Sole and Channing liked to give me a headache! They were so stubborn that it was frustrating. One thing they did learn is that you have to talk to your partner. Outside people can mess up a relationship, especially if they don’t mean you well. I loved Ms. Wilma. She truly was God sent and had a divine connection with Channing. There were so many powerful messages in this story. I can’t wait for the next book. 😉

Ok. So. Hear me out. I didn’t like Worth the Wait as much as I thought I would😬 I was really excited to read more about Channing and Solé while I read Worth the Risk, but Worth the Wait just didn’t hold my attention.

It’s not a trash book by any means, but I think I just liked Solé’s personality in small doses. An entire book with her red flags just made me tired of her. Solé’s red flags were definitely leading a marching band in the first book but since it wasn’t her story, it gave comedic relief. Here, in this book, it gave insecure and made me frustrated.

Solé was very self-aware yet her stubbornness had her resisting changing for the better for damn near the entire book. At one point I started looking forward to reading more of Channing’s POV than hers.

Channing was bae. For some reason I thought he was shy (was that mentioned in Worth the Risk?), so when he was doing and saying the thangs to Solé and standing on business with Keith, I was like “Channing?! 😏 *tucks hair behind ear*”

I did think Channing was going a little too hard with his stubbornness towards the end of the book though. Like sir you know what it is. You know Solé didn’t do anything wrong.

I assume Derek and Elaina’s story is up next in the series, and I’m sure I’ll read it. I’ve like Elaina so far throughout the series.

Love this author!

Sole was too much! Her and Channing tried hard to fight the attraction but they couldn't. I loved his bond with Miss Wilma. Tiffany was truly a hater, Keith and his wife were crazy. I hope there's more to come for Elaina and Derek.

Great read!

I loved Channing and Sole’s story! They were both very stubborn so I was extremely happy they were both able to overcome the obstacles in their way. Thank God for people like Ms. Wilma. I can’t wait for Elaina and Derek’s story 💕

Love all of your stories. They are great. Some reminded me about life in itself and about forgiveness. Thanks for it all.

Channing and Sole purpose

Can you say emotional rollercoaster. I think you want to read this one nice and slow. Like everything about Channing and Sole rings like a play by play of a real life story. You know guilt has a way of holding onto you. What I appreciated most about this story is the road to redemption with Ms. Wilma. That element humanized Channing and why he was the way he was. I loved the elements of the sisterhood between Sole, Elaine and Ausha. It's the dynamic you want when family looks out for each other, craziness and all.

Good Love Story

I enjoyed reading about Channing and Solé’s story and getting an update on Messiah and Ausha especially with them having a baby on the way. Channing was still dealing with past mistakes that he made when his sister died while he was driving drunk and jumped a curb almost hitting Ms. Wilma who ended up writing him a letter letting him know that she forgave him. Sole was still being plagued by her married ex Keith who was still trying to hold on to her. Sole held on to the hurt and shame for falling in love with and having to abort a married man's child. I'm glad that even though Keith kept trying to come in between Channing and Sole that he didn't succeed and their relationship is still going strong. I want to read more about this man Tim who has Ms. Asia ready to settle down with one man and see what Derek and Elaina got going on especially with them staying across the hall from one another.

Ended to soon

I was engaged in Sole and Changing from the first one to the last. I was hoping that they would get a story when they were introduced in their siblings (Ausha&Messiah's) story Worth The Wait. Sole and Changing both breaking with guilt and regret from past actions try to fight their attraction to and feelings for each other(her more than him). When they realize that they can't they embark on a rocky journey to love. Very good story the road to love may not be easy but it is totally worth it. Sole and Changing I highly recommend this book👌✋🌟🌟🌟🌟

Good Stuff

I enjoyed Channing and Sole's story. Even though Sole got on my nerves a little bit. She was just looking for a reason not to trust Channing. Channing was a sweetheart. No matter what Sole put him through he never let it bother him. I'm so glad they got it together in the end. I am so happy for Messiah and Ausha. Ms Asia is a trip. Sounds like she has found true love as well. I loved Channing's relationship with Ms Wilma, it was so sweet. Great job AC this was a good read!

Channing and Sole` made my day you could relate to their everyday life. The book have me sad crying, laughing, and at the end seeing forgiveness I'm happy channing finally let go and forgive himself I hope it will be a story of Derek and Elaina they are too funny I'm curious if they finally settled down. Momma Asia Stole The Show!

Solé and Channing were cute. They had some steamy chemistry. I did feel like the situation with Keith was a little extra, but some people are extra when it comes to relationships and breakups. I wanted Solé to smack that Tiffany chick; disappointed when she walked away. The award goes to Ms. Asia though... I love a parent that can be free with their adult kids and keep it real. She was really funny too.

Now what’s gonna happen with Elaina and Derek??? Looking forward to that.

Channing & Sole

Enjoyable read. Channing and Sole are definitely forces to be reckoned with; Sole is a firecracker ready to pop off at the drop of a hat, but my eyebrows were raised when Channing had to put his foot on her ex's neck..smh. I LMBO so many times. Omg their parents were hilarious. I liked how the situation with Channing and Ms. Wilma worked out as well. Now, about Elaina and Derek?

Great read

Loved channing and sole story. Some should have talked to him about Keith before letting him assume them being together awhile ago when it wasn't long at all. I think he should have been put tiffany on ice when she started making sly remarks about sole before they even got tighter. Ms.Wilma was a great impact on their relationship to mend it and for him to realize she was the one for him after all.

I enjoyed this story and seeing what was really going on with Channing and Sole. I have to admit that Sole is on my list of least favorite female characters. I did not like her thru majority of the book and she was very annoying. I loved Channing and loved watching him grow as a man. I liked that we still got some peekaboo scenes of Ausha and Messiah and I bet Derek and Elaine's book is next. This was a good read and a pretty good love story.

Entertaining!

Wow! I would guess that Keith thought he was the sh*t. Still playing games like Sole`had time time for all that. I was a little disappointed in Channing letting friend advise marinate in his thoughts concerning Sole`. But to find out her connection to Keith had me tripping but her advice wasn't warranted. I'm just glad they were able to find their journey back to one another.

Solé & Channing

I was excited to read Solé and Channing’s story because I could see the chemistry between them from “Worth The Risk” Hightown series book 1. This book did not disappoint, it offers plenty of drama but also lots of love. The story had many realistic situations and disputes that many people may relate to and it was so honestly written.

These two...

...are so dam stubborn! Lawd they gave me fever! But in the end, it was all worth it. I kinda lost hope there for a minute. The old adage everything that can go wrong will definitely applied...! I also loved the Messiah/Ausha update!

Good

Sole really got on my nerves being so indecisive. I loved Channing:s relationship with Ms. Wilma. Her family should have let him been more involved with her funeral. Sole and and Channing were good for each other but both were irritating at time. I loved Asia.
