V.F.Mason always loved reading books and had quite a few fights with her mama over the genre she liked (romance, duh!) She studied filmmaking and thought that would feed her desire for stories, but that didn't happen.
Finally, when she was tired of all those voices in her head, she sat down and wrote a book. It was a huge decision to make and she thanks her friends and family for supporting her in it.
When she is not writing, she can be found with her friends doing all sorts of crazy things or reading recent romance books that were written by her favorite authors.

description I honestly don't have very much to say about this book. I always love this author's stories, and again this was another fantastic book. Well written. Maybe a little on the too long side since I felt there were parts that made the story lag a little. However, the plot remained interesting. Twisted. Bloody. A fantastic cast of secondary characters, and both main characters were likable. All around this was another excellent read by this author and I can't wait to get my hands on the next book...Arson...please!!! 👍👍

"I'm the monster born in hell who bleeds every single day of his life," he tells me, palming my head and leaning back, our lips a breath away from each other. "And you are my only salvation in the dark"

This is the second book in this duet and my main advice here to you is go into these completely blind with no prior conceptions, just experience this how its all meant to be told.
so this review is going to be very vague with no spoilers just some impressions from me.
If the first book focused mainly on our heroine this one does the opposite showcasing events from the other side of the fence so we get more of a balanced perspective into the whys and whats.
The veil here is lifted and we get to see behind the curtain better understanding the character dynamic and how the whole of this crapstorm came to pass.
Misdirection is most definitely this author's middle name and she is certainly a master of her craft and as events unfolded here we are taken further down the rabbit hole.
She also writes just the best serial killer romances and every book I've read to date hits the spot for me and this one is definitely no exception.
The backstory here was just so heartbreaking if book One broke my heart this one further shattered it before putting the pieces back together.
This at times was not an easy read but the shared experiences here connected these two in all ways that matter.
Eduard's and Arianna’s journey is a rocky one paved with misery, heartbreak and tragedy but like all epic stories, there's a light at the end.
Finally, the finale here really touched me it was just so beautiful, giving closure and a very fitting end.
Loved this one so much and I recommend this duet highly.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Madman's Cure (Madman Duet, #2).

4.5⭐

“Why? Why did you put us through such misery?”
“Because loving you was a privilege I didn’t have.”

I loved Eudard & Cassandra and it was obvious that they were meant to be. While the first book focused on Cassandra's pain, this one was more about Eudard. While I appreciated the way his past was shown, I didn't like that Arianna's revenge was kind of sidelined. Most of the culprits were punished near the very end and that too by the madman's hand and not Cassandra's which left me feeling disappointed because the first book portrayed Cassandra as some badass woman who is capable of single handedly destroying those who wronged her but the torturing part was done by the madman instead of her. Also, so much happened after 90% which was rushed and should've been more detailed. Overall, it was a captivating read. The duet was really intriguing and kept me on the edge of my seat but this book could've been executed better tbh.

I'm completely speechless. I'm trying to force words, but all that is going through my mind is "whoa". A bit unoriginal and boring I know, but when I say V.F. Mason has completely fecked me I truly mean it. I knew going into Madman's Cure I was going to be shocked. What I didn't expect though was to be completely and wholly mindfecked. I cried, I screamed, I laughed, I fell in love, I had my heart ripped out, and then it all came to a conclusion. I was left with just my mouth hanging open. I throughly enjoyed everything about this duet. It will completely wreck you though. So warning for that. It's definitely not for the fainthearted. All of this pain, destruction, madness, and hurt comes to tragically beautiful end.

Arianna has lived through hell. Yet she is still a bit untarnished. She still has an innocence about her. Eudard has lived through purgatory, hell, whatever is the worst thing ever, he's lived through it. My heart broke for him. He is what circumstances made him. A madman. Yet he is a madman with morals.

I'm in awe of this duet. I have no idea how V.F. Mason will top this. I'm actually scared to find out. Madman's Cure brings everything to light, and you don't want it brought to light. Trust me. But you will be doing a serious disservice to yourself by missing this beautiful duet.

❝ My madness no longer has a method… so I don’t wait for the cure.❞
Madman’s Cure is the conclusion of the Madman Duet by V.F. Mason! Madman's Method was my first read from V.F. Mason and I was sooo surprised by how much I enjoyed this twisted, heartbreaking, gut-wrenching story! This is a duet so Madman’s Method does NEED to be read first. There is a trigger warning, and I’ll warn you again that there is a LOT of violence and some scenes are especially brutal but every scene is vital to the overall story. Madman’s Method left off a cliffhanger, a HUGE, ginormous bombshell was dropped and then we were left hanging! I may have cursed the author a little and threatened to break things buttt… I NEVER SAW IT COMING!! Just like my review of Madman’s Method, this review is going to be pretty short. This is just one of those books that have soo many twists and turns that it would be way to easy to accidentally slip in a spoiler!

In Madman’s Method, the story focused more on Arianna… well, Cassandra and Arianna’s story. But this time around in Madman’s Cure, we pick up right where we left off, and we finally hear the Madman’s story.

Arianna Griffin, aka Cassandra Scott, is back to take her revenge on the ones who hurt her all those years ago.
❝ You are my phoenix that was born from the ashes of the fire of his creation.❞
Eduard has loved Arianna since they were children. She was his first and his only love. She has been, and will ALWAYS be his. But back then she only had eyes for his brother Eachann. Because that was the way he designed it. To keep her just close enough, but not too close.
❝ Because loving you was a privilege I didn’t have.❞
Eudard wasn’t born a monster. But he embraced the darkness inside of him to protect the ones he loves the most, Eachann and Arianna.

There were people in Eudard’s life that hurt him. That wouldn’t hesitate to hurt HER if they thought for one minute she meant anything at all to him. So he did the only thing he could think of to keep her safe. Pushed her away and made her hate him.

❝ My indifference has always been her salvation and protection from the monsters ready to feast on anything that belonged to me. The most ironic and tragic part about it all? I’ve failed to help them both when they’ve needed me the most, despite all the coldness I’ve displayed toward them.❞
But now that Arianna is back, Eudard’s past is also back to once again try and take what’s his. But this time around he has no intention of letting his phoenix go again. He will put a stop to the maestro once and for all.
❝ I had to live without my heart and soul for a decade, suffering in silence while everything inside me demanded vengeance I could never seek. This time around, I don’t give a fuck what it takes to destroy the maestro; I won’t let anyone win this war.❞
But when he finally shows Arianna the monster inside of him, can she still truly love him?
❝ Will we all find peace once our revenge is done? Will nightmares disappear along with pain and will a bright future be possible? Can a bittersweet ending to this story be our twisted beginning?❞

Sheesh… this dark and twisted duet has had my mind spinning! We finally have the answers to all the questions that were left unanswered in Madman’s Method. It took me forever to write this review because I was so scared I was going to accidentally slip something in and trust me, this is one of those books you want to go in blind and expect the unexpected! Not sure how in the hell or when in the hell I started feeling sympathetic towards serial killers, but apparently I do!
❝ Do not ever run away from me again. I might be a monster, but I’m your monster.❞

I usually don’t prefer books that flip back and forth between the past and present because it can get pretty confusing but I had no problem keeping up with this one and for us to actually understand what had led up to what’s going on now, you have to start from the beginning. Back when Eudard’s torment first began…
❝ I’m the monster born in hell who bleeds every single day of his life… and you are my only salvation in the dark.❞
Eudard is a complex character but once you finally read his side of the story and understand all the why’s… you can’t help but fall for him. My heart broke for the boy that he was, for the things that he endured for YEARS all in the name of protecting the ones he loves. The way he loves Arianna is *SIGH* honestly, I can’t even put it into words. She’s more than his obsession, more than the love of his life, just MORE. Like I said, I don’t know how she did it but Mason made me sympathize with serial killers.
❝ You are my singular obsession in this life, the most precious possession.❞
Arianna, Cassandra, Phoenix, whatever you want to call her. I was amazed by her character. In Madman’s Method your heart breaks for her, she has been through hell and back and came out the other side as a survivor. But I was ready to see her finally fight back, not just talk about it and cause petty drama in her abuser’s lives, I wanted her to make them HURT! In Madman’s Cure you finally see her stand up for herself, and FINALLY, come to terms with the way she feels about her Madman and letting him take the reins.
❝ But how can I keep a cold attitude when the serial killer is not just a monster, but the man I love? I can shout till I turn blue in the face that I don’t love him, but it won’t make it the truth.❞

Eduard and Arianna’s journey together has been far from easy. As young kids, they were thick as thieves and then like a switch one-day Eudard changed and they became enemies. But neither has been far from the other’s mind for long. Arianna has always been Eduard’s obsession and no matter how hard she tried to deny it, Arianna always felt a connection with Eduard. Now, all these years later, these two broken people find each other again and learn to love each other’s broken pieces.
❝ I’m a madman. And you belong to me.❞
What an absolutely beautiful ending! I wasn’t prepared for that at all after all the tragedy and heartbreak that was in this book. But it was absolutely perfect.
❝ He is a ruthless devil who came from hell to bring chaos and destruction to those around him with sadistic pleasure that only highlights his dark desires.❞
If I had to change something, it would have been the many different characters from I’m assuming previous books that make an appearance. As someone who isn’t familiar with Mason‘s book, I found myself really confused about who was who, especially when their names are so similar. Maybe a couple of characters from previous books playing parts but there was a LOT of different characters in this one and I had trouble keeping up.

Like I said, this duet was my first read from V.F. Mason and I loved it! She pushed boundaries with this one and I loved every minute of it! I’ve already added a few of her other books to my TBR and I’m excited to see what else she has in store for us!
❝ Some darkness cannot be conquered with love.❞
I am REALLY hoping we get Laura and Arson’s story next! That psychotic dirty professor has a whole lot of crazy in him and I have a feeling Laura is going to have her hands full with that one!

If you are a dark romance fan looking for a read filled with suspense, violence, mind games, and tons of twists then trust me you are going to want to get your hands on Madman’s Duet! Highly recommend!
❝ Like a curse that nothing can break no matter how one searches for the cure.❞

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 𝟙/𝟚 – WOW! This duet was my first read from V.F. Mason so I wasn’t sure how I was going to like it. Again, WOW! I was sooo surprised by how much I enjoyed this twisted, heartbreaking, gut-wrenching story! If you are a dark romance fan looking for a read filled with suspense, violence, mind games, and tons of twists then trust me you are going to want to get your hands on Madman’s Duet! Highly recommend!

🔥🔥🔥🔥 – HOLY HOTNESS! Eduard is a madman, who’s an alpha and dominant af! Need I say more?! The chemistry between these two has had sparks flying all over my Kindle! So when his Phoenix finally starts listening to her heart… SMOKING HOT! Although there were steamy scenes, for the type of book this was, and with the triggers that are in it, the steamy scenes weren’t overly done if that makes sense.

🌪 ℂ𝕝𝕚𝕗𝕗𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕖𝕣 𝕎𝕒𝕣𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘 – Nope, no cliffhanger! Although the cliffhanger in book one almost made me break my Kindle… This time around our questions have been answered and this tragic story FINALLY has it’s happy ending. Buttt… there were a couple of characters that we met along the way *cough, Laura and Arson, cough* that I am REALLY hoping we hear more about in the future! 😉

"Because loving you was a privilege I didn’t have.”

So many emotion finishing this book.
A well written dark, twisted, heartbreaking story, Madman's Cure left me in a mess.

The opening left me scared to the bone. Or so I think so until Eudard memories cut me open.

I cried.
Shaking with anger.
Heartbroken for all these children have to gone through.

For all the books the author wrote before, this duet kills me. The evilness she write, it's brutal and challenging for me to read for it have the hardest limit for me.
But I trust this author.
I love how she challenge her self and her readers in twisted and dark path she sew.
I love how she answer lots of my question in her previous books so blatantly.

Why and how someone could love a man who is thirst is another man lifes?
You gotta read her books to know.
Romantizing the evil? Maybe. But isn't theres always light in every darkness?
Isn't people not born evil? Believe cause love do conquer all.

In the end, I just wanna say, I LOVE THIS BOOK! YOU BETTER READ IT! BUT MAKE SURE YOU READ THE TRIGGER WARNING CAUSE THIS AUTHOR IS NOT KIDDING WITH THEM!

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars! Well I finished this duet. If you read this author you know she writes some dark stories of serial killers and the women they are obsessed with. This was exactly like that, it was told from past to present what happened to Eudard to cause him to be the way he was. It was not a pleasant retelling of his past. You felt for him. How much he loved his twin and Arianna. Bravo author.

a finale worth reading.

wow everything is ALL coming out in Eduards POV and I’m so confused that I want to flip the chapters so fast just to know what’s happening and what he’s playing at but no far from it.

What was supposed to be about revenge, kind of changed half way into the book and I didn’t really get that Cassandra/Arianna was given it, only a little bit I was wishing to read about her doing all the deeds.

However we get more of Eduard and his revenge too and why. From the time when I read Eduard’s POV from his 6yo is when EVERYTHING starts to click for me. When he and his twin brother was sent to his uncles house for the holiday, his mum went ballistic and call me curiosity I knew something shady was going on why his mum behaved like that and as his grandpa 🤦🏽‍♀️ he knew but ignored it.

Look this book it not to be taken lightly it’s dark it’s twisted bad and it’s such a mind-f@&$ that I wanted to skip all that( never do you want to know that evil actually exits), but then again how will I know right. But all I have to say is, the more I read the more of Eduard’s POV from the past, the one person, the constant reminder who brought everything back, is a pain in his side and is way more worse is connected in a way I never expected. is that his uncle is one sick ๓ยt♄คŦยςƙєг that I would like to stab.

Anyways, I love how strong Eduard is, his feelings his emotions and losing so much and protecting Cassandra/Arianna to also what she lost and suffered at, it’s a story about these two that brings back a bond they once, to reconnecting and opening all the trauma they’ve been through to loving one another. It makes this book so readable about the secondary characters who in their lives have helped them through to the last chapter the last goodbye, left me in giddy mode for their HEA, but sometimes tears and hope is all you wish for and not to see one death.

Madman’s Cure was phenomenal and heartbreaking, written with love and reverence while filled with devastation and revenge.
Cassandra is struggling in this book, trying desperately to wrap her head around the many facets of Eudard. This couple is destined to see and feel tragedy, to forever be thrown together and then torn apart.
There are terrible people in this story, men and women who are cruel and heartless, so heed the warnings and read with caution ⚠️
Stunning and beautiful story 💜

Oh hell...
I have been waiting for this book for a while, after the massive bomb that was dropped right at the end of book one, I was left hanging out to dry... Waiting... And I am a sucker for a cliffhanger but this one almost killed me.
I don't know whether to bow down to this author or curse them out.

Jesus fucking Christ.

^^ I feel this is the author while writing this...
FUCK. Here I was thinking I knew what to expect, thinking I knew what was coming in this conclusion for Eudard and Adrianna... I didn't know a damn thing apparently. I was stupidly naive to think I did!

WHAT. THE. HELL?
Ever read a book so good that you struggle to review it? It happens from time to time and this book is one of those times. I am speechless... I feel like my minds just been fucked.

In book two, we get to see the twins' childhood, we get to see what's led up and what made Madman, well Madman... It's gut-wrenching, it's heartbreaking, it's messed up and it's fucking brutal. I love dark and twisted, and I mean LOVE... and this? Well, this takes the cake. The level of dark and twisted in this book... It was enough to make me question my own sanity. The torment, the pain, the evilness that lurks at every twist and turns in this book... I found myself having to put the book down, go back and re-read sections just to make sure I had actually read that part correctly. The author does not hold back, doesn't give a damn about testing those boundaries and kept my heart in my throat, my mind reeling, my stomach in knots and truthfully? I was kind of scared to finish the book... But after a few breathers along the way, I made it through and I am so glad I did... Because as twisted and head fucking as this was. It was equally amazing and enthralling... and creative... It's kind of scary just how creative and dark this author went... and Brilliant. again.. I am kind of speechless

I want to dive into this. I want to give you every single detail of this story from book one to book two. All of it... I have so much to say, but I am keeping this spoiler-free and I am just going to leave it with this...

You think you've read dark? Well, V.F is about to chew you up with this duet... and spit you out into a million pieces, and so so so slowly put you back together... and you better believe it's about to mind-fuck you beyond belief.

My head is still a mess and I finished this over 2 days ago. It's safe to say this author has won me over, and I sure as hell can't wait to read more of her work.

***5 Stars***

I really don’t know where to start this review. I don’t because I’m still processing it all, but I guess the first thing is…

This was sooo worth the wait!

I know some have issues with Duets/Trilogies, and I get it, I really do, but this one was absolutely worth it! All my WTF questions were answered and then some...but with that being said, this review is going to be all kinds of short, sweet and vague…

I ADORED Madman. All. Of. Him. Everything about him I fell for and I kinda wish he was my Madman. Cassandra is a fighter. God is that woman strong. She did a couple of things that had me rolling my eyes, but I couldn’t really fault her for any of her choices. As for their journey...it was dark, sweet, heart breaking and quite unique.

And that ending...I actually shed a tear.

I really enjoyed Madman’s Cure on so many levels. It made that dark side of my heart happy, it gave me a mind fuck of epic proportions and simply hit all the right buttons for me. And as for the supporting cast of characters ~ there are some familiar faces that pop up in this baby and I must say that it was a lot of fun watching them all interact with each other. Now, this is a dark read, the triggers are numerous, but also necessary to get a full understanding of both Madman and Cassandra’s background, so reader beware. But, overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this duet and cannot wait to read more from this author and this world!

Just finished Madman’s Cure and my mind and emotions feel like they have been stretched and drawn through a ringer, the twisted, extremely dark, heartbreaking tale will be with me for a long time as the horrific atrocities they endured plague my mind.

The very beginning had me white knuckling my book and I had a long way to go. And then we get to hear the heartbreaking memories of the twins Eudard, Eachann and loyal Arianna. There’s also a show of Micaden and Lachen, they play a large part in this intense and highly riveting story that had my heart racing and emotions on edge for them, and yes I have to admit, the constant change of characters did have me slightly confused at times (similarities in name didn’t help) but it didn’t ruin my enjoyment.
All in all. This duet was a brilliantly written piece of work. It made me gasp, cringe, shed a tear and rage in anger my emotions were in so much turmoil. I suppose you could say the author VF Mason had done an excellent job!

This needs to be read after Madman’s Method as it’s book two in the Madman Duet.

When I finished reading this book I sat back and mentally gave the author a round of applause. She gave me everything I wanted in this book and so much more. I felt as if she threw me on a fast paced rollercoaster. I seriously couldn’t read this fast enough yet I didn’t want it to end. So many different emotions was pulled outta me reading this I couldn’t possibly guess what was gonna happen next.

A brilliantly written duet. I’m so gonna re- read these as I loved it.

Take heed of the warnings. Personally I love these kinda books but don’t say I didn’t warn you :)

One book too many

I liked the characters but the plot was choppy. This flowed slightly better than the first book. There were some grammatical errors and editing issues. I truly feel one larger book could have been better if edited properly. Possibly using the end of chapter 17 of this book to being the beginning. Ione thing is certain, this is a unique world the author has created and I would still like to know the back stories of the minor characters in this book.

I was disappointed in this book, to many things didn’t make sense. The characters names were confusing all being similar and starting with the same letter.
For a two book length story the ending was rushed.
I was hoping from the very beginning of book one that the main character Cassandra was going to get some very satisfying revenge, it didn’t turn out at all like I was hoping it would.

I really think this duet was an amazing story and I loved it... however I cannot give it 5 stars!!? (And that while I am someone who gives 5 stars really easily.)
The majority of 'complaints' I had in book #1 Madman's Method (my review), also apply to book #2 Madman's Cure. Too many characters... combined with a lot of flashbacks, it was very confusing and distracting!!
And something that really bothered me (in both books) was the mentioning of all the other characters from previous/other books; Callum, Lachlan, Micaden, Psychopath, Arson. The author told me (Facebook) there would be no spoilers for those books in this duet (and she is right, only the names are mentioned) however... I still feel I missed information. I hated not knowing who/what/why and I keep asking myself if I should have read the other books first??
I do remember I had exactly the same feelings (confusion!) about previous books I read written by this author.

Bottom line: I'm not disappointed.... but I am disappointed.
I absolutely loved this story... but somehow it's not a 5 star read!? 😲

Be prepared to experience an intense rollercoaster of a ride with a remarkable, original story that is sure to blow your mind, keep you on the edge of your seat, and send you through a whirlwind of emotions. Madman’s Cure is the conclusion to Arianna’s and Eudard’s story and it is sure to keep you on your toes and leave you gasping with all that unfolds in this fast-paced dark romantic thriller.

“I’m the monster born in hell who bleeds every single day of this life . . . and you are my only salvation in the dark.” - Madman

Where to begin with this jaw-dropping novel? This is a dark and twisted romance that is full of intense passion with sparks flying between Arianna and Eudard, intricate psychological mind games, and tons of action. I’m going to keep this vague in case you haven’t read book one. In this book, we get to delve into Eudard’s past and discover what all has triggered his transformation into Madman. I will tell you that what he endured is horrendously heartbreaking and shows just how strong of an anti-hero he is. He is steadfast in his love for Arianna and will stop at nothing to protect her. I absolutely adored Eudard and the complexity of his character. Arianna remains a strong character who is a fighter and it was interesting to see how she processed her love for Eudard. These two broken characters are dynamite!

As this is book 2 in a duet, it is imperative that you read Madman’s Method before diving into this book or you will be lost. Be forewarned that there is a fair amount of violence in this book and read any trigger warnings as this is a rather dark romance. Madman’s Cure is a unique and original story that will pull you in from the first page and leave you scraping your jaw off the floor as you follow along Eudard’s and Arianna’s journey.

I received an early complimentary version of this book.

Yep
Idk
En fin
Me gusto bastante esta historia
Ame a Cassandra y a Madman

OH MY GOSH -- this book was EVERYTHING I wanted in this duet conclusion, but NOTHING what I thought it was going to be. To be honest, I wasn't really sure what to expect, but Madman's Cure was NOT it-- in a good way though. I just finished this book and I am not even ashamed to admit that I totally teared up, everything comes into light in this book and it is jaw dropping and EXTREMELY shocking. Y'all this is a dark duet and if you thought Madman's Method was dark, you haven't seen anything yet.

VF Mason, this duet was a freaking masterpiece and everyone likes things on the darker side with their duets NEEDS to read it. It was absolutely perfect and if you cannot tell right now I give this definitely 5 outta 5 stars and absolutely loved it.

PS: I want to give a huge thank you to VF Mason and L Woods PR for allowing me an ARC to voluntarily read and review this book honestly.

Once upon a time, there was a devil and his bride. His hell awaited her while she tried to hide. He found her and trapped her inside. Where she had no choice but to stay at his side.

“You are my phoenix that was born from the ashes of the fire of his creation,”

“When I want anything that has to do with you or for you… I go after it like a madman.”

Su ❤️ por Arianna/Cassandra es más profundo de lo que se da a entender en el primer libro.
Los causantes del daño a Cassandra sufrirán por sus acciones de forma muy diversas.👏👏👏

VF Mason just broke my heart with this duet! Please heed the warnings, because this book is probably the darkest she's ever written! It has just about every trigger in it, but it's not written in a gratuitous or over the top way. It will break your heart though and make you feel all the feelings! I agonized over what the twins experienced. No child should have to live thru that. And Arianna didn't have it any easier. It was all a huge tragedy, and you just desperately want them to have a HEA. If anyone deserves it, they do.
I won't spoil the ending though. You just have to read it for yourself. If you like dark romance, you'll definitely love this!

I came into this second part of Madman's story knowing I was going to be in for a real treat! The ending of Method left no room for doubt.
Still, knowing that, I was not prepared for what I read.
Cure is told more from Madman's perspective. We get to see all facets of him and I honestly fell even more in love with him this time round. His darkness is vibrant and his passion alluring.
I've come to realise that VF Mason writes books exactly the way I like them. I love her characters, the way she writes, the story she tells and the emotions that she packs in. And Madman's Cure is not short those bad boys, let me tell you! All the feels in this one.
