Bake Sale Bachelors #6

Cherry Pie Charm

Rate this book
Pop my cherry pie!

Alpha Easton's life seems complete and stable. He has a satisfying career as a lawyer, fighting for the 'little guy', and he's perfectly happy spending his free time with friends with the occasional fling thrown in. Nevertheless, he agrees to attend a pie and bachelor auction with his buddy, Christopher, because it's for a great cause. Everything changes when he wins a date with a shy, inexperienced omega and he realizes that perhaps, he was missing something. He's also thrown for a loop when an abused client shows up on his doorstep, child in tow, begging for shelter.

Omega Noah feels down on his luck. He's finished art college, but seems to have no reasonable prospects, and feels like he's a huge disappointment to his alpha father. On top of everything, he's romantically inexperienced and doubts he'll ever meet his one and only alpha. His overachieving, younger sister Janice has an idea. She signs him up to participate in the pie and bachelor auction, with the prize being an overnight spa date with Noah. He grumbles and his social anxiety rears its ugly head, but he agrees to go. It'll be fun, his sister says. What's the worst that can happen?

This was book 6 in the "Bake Sale Bachelors" this was a short quick read that I liked. Alpha Easton's life seems complete and stable he has a job that he likes he is a lawyer fighting for the little guy and doing pro bono work. He goes to the bake sale with a friend its for a good cause he bids on a cherry pie and gets a date with a hot sexy omega. Noah is down on his luck he graduated from college with an art degree but has found his footing in the art world. So he is living at home with his dads and his sister Janice when she signs him up for the bake sale. Noah is still a virgin and he can't believe his luck when he meets Easton. This was a good read with no drama in it these two hit it off and while they are on their spa date things get even better. This book did have an error in it, but nothing major. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

. . .
É uma leitura F(. . .), desculpe pela palavra, eu amei 🖤. . .
Amei, amo torta de cereja, mais quando ela vem com uma surpresa maravilhosa de uma noite em um SPA, com uma massagem perfeita, e uma noite quente entre os lençóis, quem não ama. . . Boa Leitura 😘

A really nice story to read. Unfortunately there are a few typos and name mistakes (maybe more, when you're a native English speaker, which I'm not), but that doesn't change my rating at all.
Just thinking, the story missed a last proofreading.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:
A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series
from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year),
it's like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok)
It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the
whole line, dismissed, repeat the class.

Believe In Me

This erotic romance had enough spice to make your cheeks blush cherry red. An Alpha was looked down upon by his attorney leaden family even though he himself was a lawyer. While they worked to earn as much money as possible, Easton refused to take that path. He chose to help those who needed it the most. While it didn't deeply line his pockets it made him feel satisfied for a job well done. Heartbreak made it easy to immerse himself in his job. His good friend was determined to get him out and about.

An Omega was strongly encouraged to attend a Bake Sale for Bachelors. His parents are not impressed at all with his Art degree or desire for a career as an Artist. Something neither parent believes is a viable occupation. Luckily he had a younger, but wiser sister who knows just what he needs and has always been his champion. Being constantly made to feel his life is a series of bad decisions, Noah never imagined he find an Alpha who would believe in him, be interested enough to care about his thoughts, opinions, and especially not one who was interested in his Art.

This was a loving tale of two men who each found their Alpha & Omega with a love built on shared values, mutual admiration, and a desire to be all each would ever need. A bonus are the absolutely wonderful secondary characters.

This author writes adorable characters!

Unfortunately, that is about all I have to say that is good. :(

Please, for all of us... get a proofreader and maybe an editor for all of those loose threads that never found an ending?

This is just a short example of the times a proofreader or editor would have made such a difference...

It is things like this that pulls a reader out of a story... this is Noah's POV...
My mother had often remarked on my child-like sense of wonder, telling me it was one of my most endearing attributes.

*Easton has a mother and a father, Noah has an Omega dad and an Alpha father... who is his mother?

When he wrapped his licks around my cock...

*How does one do that, exactly? LOL!!!

“I’m going into Chicago to meet with a gallery director and show her my portfolio.”

“I see. Good luck. If he knows his art, he’ll jump at the chance.”

*He-She... I am confused! ;p

And we’ll have some yummy black forest care afterward, what do you say?” I told him. He smiled brightly at the mention of cake and I sighed.

*Can't say that I have ever had some yummy Black Forest Care... *grin*

He was a model mate prior to the prior to what the drugs did to him.

*So many words... that are not needed! grrr (BTW: Grammarly caught this one... just sayin'!)

•Strangers to lovers
•Abogado x artista

A bit too sweet...

When Easton's friend mentioned that he's gotten the reputation as a player and suggested he dates Noah long term to dispel the rumors I expected something to come of it. Nope. I'm not a fan of high-angst books but all the ooey gooey love stuff was enough to give me a tooth ache! Don't get me wrong, I really liked Noah and Easton, but most relationships aren't that freaking perfect.

Also, there were a lot of typos. Not an annoying amount but enough to interrupt the flow of the story.

I love the Back Sale Bachelors series. This was another wonderful addition. The chemistry was spot on. The date was magical. It could do with some better editing ( wrong name in places and wrong pronouns) but overall was spectacular.

Sweet, fairly typical omegaverse story. The dialogue felt overly formal and stilted. Also, unprotected sex with no thought to possible consequences in mpreg (or really any book) is one of my pet peeves. It’s rampant in the genre, but the cluelessness in this one struck a nerve for some reason.

?

It is a cute story. A fast read - going from preg, moving in to baby being born. Just felt like a little something was missing.

Too sappy

It was a cute story but there was zero angst making it a too good to be true one. A major departure from previous bake sale books.

Slightly different take on other happy omega food related novels. Ended a little abruptly for me, but I enjoyed the story very much. Fast reading for an afternoon or evening.

Sweet cherry pie

Noah let his sister talk him into the pie and bachelor auction. Easton let his partner talk him into going. Best cherry pie Easton ever bought!
