This box set includes all three books in the Amazon Bestselling Mage’s Apprentice series, over 900+ pages of sinister magic, non-stop action, enemies-to-lovers romance, and twists you won’t see coming!
A magic-less thief apprenticed to the strongest Mage on the Council. What could possibly go wrong…
Aspen is a Norm. A non-magic. A human. And in this supernatural city, that’s a quick way to wind up dead. Or worse.
She didn’t plan on becoming an apprentice to Lucien Dunadine, one of the strongest members on the Council of Mages.
She really didn’t plan on taking part in a deadly competition against Isak Uchida, her handsome, aggravating, deadly opponent.
But with something sinister going down in the magic boroughs, they’ll all have to work together if they want to uncover the source of an ancient evil threatening their home. An evil that will take them from the supernatural streets of New York to the magic-filled Highlands of Scotland; from facing off against the vicious Kings of Magic to taking on the most powerful dark force their world has ever known.
And if they fail, everyone and everything they love will be consumed by darkness.

I started this book because it sounded interesting and I have to admit, it was very interesting. Aspen is one unusual girl; she is a normal human girl who lives in New York where the normal people have no idea that there are supernatural beings are all around. These beings live in boroughs which are governed by a Council of Mages. After losing her parents at a young age due to a horrible act of murder, she is taken care by her friend a half-breed giant, Brune. She loves him dearly like a brother and he takes care of her like a father. What he doesn’t know is that Aspen has grown up with a huge chip on her shoulder and wants revenge over whoever killed her parents. She knows that Brune is terrible at business and they are always needing money so she has become a master thief. Brune is not aware about what she is doing.
When a job goes bad, Aspen feels like she has to get the money somewhere so she goes out into the night to do some petty theft. That is when her entire world changes. Lucien, a Mage, is the one she goes after and he counters her. But he decides that she is what will help him get out of the jam that he is in. She is going to be his apprentice. I don’t want to say much more because it will ruin the story.
Aspen encounters a lot of others like Brune, Tana, Isak and Nina who are all are good for her soul. But she also meets up with characters like Hugo, Xavier and others on the Mage Council do not have her best interests at heart. She has a love/hate relationship with Lucien. It is fast paced story with mystery, magic, and friendship/loyalty make it a worthwhile read.
Mage’s Trial
This book moves even faster. Aspen has become a Mage even though she is a Null (this is a person who cannot do magic) but finds herself able to do magic. As a test to become an apprentice, she was tied to Isak, Xavier’s apprentice, on their quest to win who will be the next Mage. But Xavier has them competing to the death instead of just to win. But instead, they start to see that there is a real evil trying to get in and they start to work together. That evil is Maladias and will destroy New York and everyone in it.
During this entire story, there is a lot of death by the major evil that is trying to destroy the world. Isak is in hiding through a good part of the book due to the death of his Master, Xavier. Aspen is not happy with Lucien and is forced to work with him.
The ending is one of those where there are some good things that happened but there is also a very bad thing. I am really looking forward to book 3 due to the prophecies and hints throughout this book to see who ends up on the side of good.
Mage’s End
This is the book that ties up all of the lose ends. There is a lot of fighting throughout this entire book. Aspen, Isak, Lucien, Tana, Nina and others are all fighting for the life of New York because Maladias has been able to return in the flesh. This moves very fast as there is a lot of intrigue and fighting among the Boroughs and the Supernatural Beings.
Aspen comes into her own and is told by many that she is the one who will have to kill Maladias. Isak and her become very close and have each other’s back. Nina and Lucien overcome their differences. The final battle is very hard to read, there is so much going on that you do not see coming. Even though it is only being fought by Lucien, Aspen, Isak and Maladias, there are some surprises.
I totally enjoyed this book and it was nice to have the ending tie up all of the loose ends.
The Mage's Apprentice: The Complete Series - a review by Rosemary Kenny
Set in Ember's Landing, a borough of New York, the prologue introduces MC Aspen Rivest, whose parents are killed in an arson attack [that Aspen barely survives], by a murderous Mage who steals their magic powers. A decade later Aspen has relocated to Manhattan where Hugo, a Djinn, sends her to be Mage Lucien's apprentice. Not surprisingly, danger, thrills and magical adventures await.
Mage's Trial
Aspen Rivest, a human-hybrid Null (able to absorb and use any kind of magic used against her), is now a Mage and finally able to get her revenge on Mage Xavier, whom (in a Harry Potter-like storyline), she believes murdered her parents. To save the rest of the magic/human world, she must also battle against the power of the Voldemort-like Maladias, who has been a deadly threat for so long. Can she and her friends triumph?
Mage's End
Aspen, Lucien, Isak and other members of the New York Convocation unite with Kaylee Richards, Eve, June, Liam and Kaylee's wizard husband Edwin, against Maladias, who is now using the body of Isak's former mentor, Xavier on Earth and the astral plane too. Using the power of Convocations from other countries, the 'good guys' launch into a final showdown, that will shock, excite and amaze you simultaneously, in a life-or-death struggle for survival.
How does Aspen access the Stone Army? Will Abram help Aspen and the others? When does the fight move to the Astral Plane? Who helps Aspen and Isak to get there?

This is a brilliant set of reads that will keep you hooked. Wonderful well written plot and story lines that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the stories. Can't wait to read more from this author! Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
In Mage's Apprentice, Sean Fletcher introduces all sorts of supernatural and magical races, and we learn that there is generally no love lost between "supes" and "Norms". Enter Aspen, our Norm protagonist living in one of the magic boroughs of today's New York.
While some aspects of the story might seem overly familiar (orphan whose parents got murdered by a powerful wizard, half-giant best friend, ...), and there are many nods to other authors' works (hello, Charlotte!), Sean Fletcher provides his own spin on common tropes and delivers an entertaining tale. As always, I enjoy his blend of action and humor, and not to forget a hefty dose of teenage shenanigans.
As is par for the course for his books (at least those I've read so far), things escalate quickly, everyone's lives are at stake, and Sean Fletcher won't let you forget it. Their fight to save supes and Norms alike from an otherwordly evil takes Aspen and her friends from New York to Europe on their search for allies, only to culminate in the final boss battle back in New York.
Although this series is set in the same world as the Heir of Dragons series, it's not necessary to have read it first to enjoy Aspen's adventures. (There are a couple of easter eggs for those who *have* read Kaylee's story, though. :) )
Captures your interest and takes you for a great ride.
Charismatic characters, magic, a kaleidoscope of supernaturals, an epic battle between good and evil. Need I say more? Aspen has always been a norm living in a world where supernatural have there own boroughs. Shes always been an outcast but refuses to leave the only home shes ever known. Then her world is turned upside down when she discovers that shes the exact opposite of normal, but what she actually is doesnt make her any closer to be accepted by the supernatural community. Shes always made her way by being self reliant and not getting close to others. Then a charismatic mage, a contest to the death, and being involved with people who care instead of judging draws her into a world where darkness is attempting to take control and for the first time she finds herself getting fully Involved in life to protect people because she cares about them. Aspen is a great character. Her evolution throughout the series is realistic and engrossing.

This series has some really great world-building and characters. There were plenty of twists and surprises to keep the reader guessing. I really liked Aspen, she was a strong character, especially given the challenges she had to over-come. I was a bit unsure about Lucien, he could certainly keep you guessing. Isak was a good counter-point to Aspen.
I do think there was just a lot in each story, that at times it could feel like a bit too much crammed into the story. I had to back-track occasionally to remember who some of the secondary characters were and what their role in the story actually was. This wasn't enough to make it a bad set of stories, just an issue with so much world-building in a relatively shorter series.
I enjoyed these books for the most part. Sometimes I got mired down in the plot. I didn't think the final book would ever end, but it just isn't my way to stop reading until the very end. I did enjoy the ending. The coloring of my appraisal of the series is undoubtedly ,painted by unexpected personal tragedy that occurred while I read it.Before that, I found the books very interesting and entertaining. So, because of that am giving the series5 stars, because the first book and a half deserve it. If the life event hadn't occurred on the middle of book 2, I probably would be wholeheartedly recommending the series. As it is I think book 3 took too long to finish, but I do recommend the series. It has a lot going for it and is entertaining overall.
Okay first and foremost this is a three-book series none of the three books can stand independently it is really one book divided into three sub parts there is no time lapse in between each subpart and they really do feel like three separate chapters as opposed to three separate books the characters are good the story is fun to read it has a lot of action and excitement that makes it hard to put down and you'll come to the end of it saying it was a good ending I liked it but it shouldn't have ended
An intricately woven plot with characters you can emphasize with and root for. 32 hours of action, angst, budding romance and of course in this one Three for the price Big Bads. Don't think this is your usual growing up and coming into magic tale, it is as refreshing as a new day. You will go from one book to the next, because you HAVE to know what is going to happen next. A not to be missed trilogy by Sean Fletcher. Emily Lawrence brings life to the characters and scenes as the superb narrator she is.
This is the first I have read by this author. I will say that I enjoyed his characters and his world builds. I original bought this boxed set as a companion to the audio book (for the first book) which I had purchased on sale. I enjoy reading along with the audio book. I will now look into other books written by this author. “TrustMe” _ it is a hard thing for us all to do; no matter how much we love.
This series was more YA than I expected but it held my interest through out and I never felt like it went overboard or started trying to hard (something I find that plagues the later and/or final books of series like this).
Aspen wasn't my favorite character but the supporting players made up for it. Unlikely I will read any of the other books in this universe but I would certainly recommend them to YA readers.
Very enjoyable, fast paced tale. Norms, Nulls and every type of supernatural being you've ever heard of along with many you haven't! The characters are well defined and you find yourself immersed in their world. Can a cataclysmic event be prevented by cooperation between groups whose hatred and mistrust of all outside their own is deep rooted and seemingly insurmountable?
Just finished book 6 in the series and just can’t believe how amazing the story is progressing. While each book senselessly blends into one another, each and everyone in itself are incredible. Whether the authors original story or the English translation that is the series I am into...I am fully engaged. In fact I find myself trying to slow down (unsuccessfully) to not finish the series off to soon.
I enjoyed this mini saga. The first book sets the scene as the heroine discovers she is able to use magic and becomes a reluctant mage. The story builds rapidly in the second book and ends in the third with an epic fight between the force of evil and destruction to a satisfactory conclusion. All the main characters survive. A very good read and highly recommended.
All together!! You’d be able to read (or reread like in my case) all the amazing books in one place. I always loved strong female characters so this story about how Aspen fought evil finding friends and even love along the way is wonderful. Full of magic, action, friendship, romance, mystery and more, this series is a must read if you are looking for an entertaining magical adventure. Wow!
Good thing this series is a bookset and not individual books, because if I have to hunt for the next book when I finished one, I would probably tear my hair out. There was too much going on for me to stop and search for the next book in the series.

Absolutely loved this series! Couldn't stop reading. Gave up sleep. The story is so engrossing you literally can't put the kindle down. This series is so fascinating and fast paced. Wow. I loved how it unfolded and ended. Great unexpected ending.
Sean Fletcher’s story and character building takes you on a journey of intrigue, magic, love, loss, and sacrifice as Aspen, Isak, Lucien and the rest of their “family” face trials and battles with unexpected twists. He kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end.
Sean Fletcher has created a magical universe that should serve to host many future stories. This series has it all, memorable heroes and heroines, truly twisted villains of both sexes, and a few cute animals and friendly giants. I look forward to more stories from this author.
This is a great bundle I read book one when it came out and added to my TBR for book 2 and well ya know how that goes..... Totally lost it, well stumbled across the box set and devoured it!!!🤯🥰 I couldn't get enough so well written you need to check it out!
Truly a badass heroine! I’ve been missing that, a strong, take no bs from no one character. Also great friends supporting each other to save the world, not letting the romance overtake the main goal. Amazing.
Action packed!! Couldn’t put it down!!! This series keeps you on your toes from page one until the end. The characters were amazing and made you love and hate them on every page!!!
What a great saga. I love this kind of story. It has bad, good, far, super, shifters. Such imagination displayed. I felt like I was there when the events were happening. Thanks.
I inhaled this trilogy! The main character was tough and interesting. She changed and grew through the plot and we met lots of other well developed characters. The story line was believable but still surprising.
Nothing out if the ordinary, but a good read nevertheless. Enjoyed the acknowledgement that magical beings have the same problems between races as humans.
I don’t think this series ever slowed down. It was absorbing from first word to last. I liked all of the characters (except the bad guys, of course!) and I hope a few of them spin off into new adventures.
I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this series, l luved all the characters. The more I got into these books I just couldn’t put them down. I will look for more books from this author. Well done Sean Fletcher.
