I'm torn on this one. It does have a lot of suggestions, and maybe that's what someone is looking for. Maybe I'm just not the target audience.
Like, if you really want to have flowers and need to be reminded that exotic blooms cost more, this book is for you. But if you want to have flowers and just have a color scheme in mind, it doesn't think to mention that many chain grocery stores have a cut flowers section and (as long as you're not dead set on a particular species) you can pick up some flowers a day or two before and tie a bouquet together (no, it doesn't have to be expertly designed) then wrap it in ribbon or linen or burlap or nothing at all day-of. Voila. Bouquet.
My problem with it is that it's still assuming you're having a relatively elaborate / involved wedding. If you're on a tight budget, you might not have flowers at all.

Great for brainstorming!
Not great for someone already feeling overwhelmed.

The format of this book was not my favorite. It had a lot of information to read and then it would paraphrase all these points at the end of the chapter. I found it far more useful to just skip to the end of the chapter than bother with the longer sections. The ideas in this book seemed a lot more pricey to me than the other "bargain" wedding books- maybe that's why it says "budget" in the title instead. It did have a lot of prices listed (good jumping off point) and the resource list in the back is very comprehensive. Perhaps I'd give it another go.

I was just talking about weddings and I thought of this book. I would really recommend this book to anyone who is going to plan a wedding. I loved the first few chapters because it helps you make decisions and set priorites. It saves you money by helping you set your wedding goals and gives tips about where you can cut without anyone knowing the better. A must-have for planing your own wedding.

Advice is adorably outdated but you can still get some good advice anyway.
