I was an everyday part of the Hero Channel's most famous show, Hero High. Then I met the Figure in the Flames and the copycat Dr Dangerous.
Living at the superstructure is risky and invasive, especially when trying to figure out where two new real super villains come from. I can't let the cameras see what I'm doing, because I'm pretty sure they're in on it, and people are getting hurt.
I can't trust The Hero Channel.
I'm not even sure who the bad guys are anymore. There's too much to keep track of. My hero, Captain Fantastic might actually take me under his wing, if it wasn't for his real mentee Ashley who basically hates me.
Someone's lying to me.
Maybe everyone.
Anger is book 2 in the Hero High series and is set in the near future world of Icon City, a place filled with powered one-percenters.
Hi, I wrote a book, it's called Hero High, maybe you've heard of it? ... ... No? Huh? Weird. That's on you. Anyway, I refuse to get a "real" job, and live with my parents at the ripe old age 20, trying desperately to make a living off of writing. I have a patreon, where no one pays me, and a Wattpad series called The Lesser Gods, that no one reads. This writing thing is so easy. (Insert Julia Robert laugh here.)
My real name Is Marina Charalambides, but everyone said that was too hard. You know, just generally, so call me Mina Chara.
Anger is the second novel in the Hero High series by Mina Chara. This is my second novel by this author.
Now in her second year at Hero High, Friday finds out that she can not trust the Hero Channel. She also realizes that someone is lying to her but she doesn’t know who it is.
This is just as gripping as the first book, my only issue is that I wish it was longer, I enjoy the character development and the world building. I just did not want the story to end.
I do not want to give too much away. I suggest reading this series.
Anger by Mina Chara a five-star read that won’t leave you angry. This is number two in the Hero High series and the setting of Icon city is well done, it suits the type of story and the characters well. This is the story of Friday Fitzsimmons and her second year of Hero high; she just gets more of a sublime character, watching her struggle with fitting in and anxiety, just makes the daily struggle a little easier knowing that others face it as well. This story will take your breath away, you will be kept guessing all the way through, my heart was pounding so hard at one point I didn’t realise how long I had held my breath, but I was so swept up in the story I couldn’t stop myself.
This book is the second book in this series. It is a futersic fantasy book. Friday is been followed but wants to know why. Who is trustworthy who isn't. Is Hero High even safe. There is very strong world building in this book. The main character is dealng with real life issue such as anxiety and how this affects her socially.
Anger is the second book in the Hero High series by Mina Chara. This is a Young Adult fantasy adventure story set in a near future world, Icon City. This book follows on from book one, picking up where book one ended. So, if you haven’t read the first book, I highly recommend that you do, so you have all the information you need to enjoy this book fully. Friday knows she’s being watched, but she needs answers and is trying to figure everything out. She has to be careful and not let on what she’s doing- because she really doesn’t know who she can trust- especially Hero Channel. There is a lot for her to keep track of, and a lot to try and piece together. She’ll have to trust herself and be strong to get through. A great instalment in the series- an interesting little adventure, with mystery, drama, an evil villain, and more. So, if you love young adult fantasy, with mystery, adventure, and ‘superhero’ types- then you will definitely want to add this to your collection.
Anger is book 2 in the Hero High series and is set in the near future world of Icon City which is a haven for ‘powered one-percenters’. The story centres around Friday Fitzsimmons who is now in her second year at Hero High which is a famous school for people with powers. However Hero High is not just a school for trainee superheroes it is also a reality TV show and one of many on the Hero Channel. Friday discovers that she can not trust the ‘Hero Channel’ and that someone is lying to her but does not know who. Friday must stop the real super villains along with her hero, Captain Fantastic but is not sure who the actual bad guys are. Although this is a short story it packs a lot in and it has a fast paced storyline and the world building is great and really pulls you in so you feel totally immersed in Icon City. I like Friday as the main character as she is a strong and independent young lady but she is also very relatable as she suffers from anxiety but does her best to hide this especially from the cameras. I found the introduction at the beginning helpful explaining how Icon City came about and also a brief recap on book one which means you could read this as a standalone story. Personally I think you would appreciate the story better having read book one, Denial. It was an exciting read and a good second book, I look forward to future books in the Hero High series.
She knows she has to be careful because they’re looking. She was a fixation on the show and a daily part of the Hero Channel’s show, “Hero High.” She met two important heroes in the Figure in the Flames and the copycat Mr Dangerous. Life in the superstructure is hazardous and meddling, especially when trying to expose the truth behind where the bad guys come from. She’s trying to avoid the cameras but she knows they know something. She is distrustful of the Hero’s Channel. There’s no telling who the bad guys are or vice versa. Her personal hero, Captain Fantastic wants to take her under his wing but there’s one problem: His personal mentee; Ashley. She doesn’t know who to trust or where to go for the truth. The mysteries of these books are compelling and the fact that the author puts you in the front seat as “She/Her” is even better for the reader. We get to use our imagination in this futuristic novel. I’ve loved both books so far. I’m keeping this on my waitlist for the rest of this collection.
Anger (Hero High Book 2) By Mina Chara 5 out of 5 stars
The story Anger (Hero High Book 2) by Mina Chara is the next exciting book in the Hero High series. It pulls you in and doesn’t let you go until the final page. It is entertaining and fast-paced. In this story, the main character continues to investigate the Figure in the Flames and Dr. Dangerous. The main character also continues to deal with anxiety and how to fit in socially. Read this book to find out the full story. The author does a wonderful job of world-building and keeping the storyline interesting. There are additional characters that I enjoyed reading about and others who I would wonder what their motivations are. There are also romantic feelings that are felt. There is also the intriguing bantering/interactions between the characters. Don’t miss out on the next part of this wonderful series. I would recommend reading it.
Anger (Hero High #2) by Mina Chara 4 out of 4stars
Anger High is the second installment of hero High written by Mina Chara and I have mixed feelings about this book. The series and is set in the near future world of Icon City, a place filled with powered one-percenters. The characters are great, and the plot is different. You don’t know who the good guy or bad guy is.
Friday Fitzsimmons is in her second year of hero high. She is living at the superstructure its risky and invasive, especially when trying to figure out where two new real super villains come from. I can't let the cameras see what I'm doing, because I'm pretty sure they're in on it, and people are getting hurt.
Will Friday figure out the truth before its to late? Will she be able to trust any of her peers? Are they out to get her? Will she make it past her second year of hero high?
You will have to read this book/series to find out. I highly recommend you read the books in order.
This is one of my favorite young adult series I have read in a long time. I absolutely love a good fantasy romance but this author exceeded all my expectations. This is the second book from the Hero High series. You need to read the first book in order to understand what is going on. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. I could not put this book down until the last page and now I want more. I can’t wait to see what will happen next to these amazing characters.
Friday is getting used to her new school for superheroes. She is still wondering what the guy that was on fire was all about. Friday is now being followed everyday and she now met a new super villain. She wants to know where they came from but it is very dangerous. Friday is starting to believe that production is behind some of this but why? Will Friday be able to trust anyone or are they all lying to her?
Anger Hero High Book 2 By Mina Chara ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Second best Coming of Age fantasy for the young adults.
Hero High is at it again. Follow along as you meet Figure in Flames and Dr. Dangerous. You will join in with new characters as the team and start a new adventure. The main characters stay in the back as they know they are being watched. Come on into the superstructure, just be careful! I refuse to give you any spoilers as I feel you will enjoy the story.
Mina Chara is the author in this fantasy romantic novel written for our teens and young adults. She is clever in her writings as her target is those coming of age young adults. Even as an adult I truly enjoyed this story. One I can safely introduce to the teens around me. Love the story, love the characters and romantic fantasy. We can all relate to this fiction. Job well done Mina Chara!
Anger (Hero High Book 2) by Mina Chara is an excellent continuation of Friday’s story. At the end of book 1 Friday is left with more questions than answers. Who is the figure in the flames? and how can Doctor Dangerous be back when the whole world knows he died at the hands of the Captain? Friday is seeking answers to her questions however, this might mean her own safety is in danger. Couple this with the horrid Veronica and Friday’s crippling anxiety, she is really having a difficult time. I am really enjoying this series, I like the way it switches between flashbacks of Friday’s life to the present day when she is being interviewed. I also feel that you get to know the other characters more in this book as Friday further develops her friendships. This book is a nice quick read but has definitely left me with lots of questions (and theories) that I hope are answered in book 3.
Anger is the second book in the Hero High series. This story follows on from where book one finishes, so I would definitely recommend reading that first. The story continues to follow Friday Fitzsimmons as she begins her second year at Hero High. Hero High is a school for superheroes in training, but also a reality TV show. This story sees many recurring characters from book one, which I always enjoy, and some new faces too. I love the character of Friday, and this second instalment helps you get to know her even better. She is strong and fierce, yet vulnerable enough to make her extremely relatable. When Friday finds herself battling unknown bad guys and threats, she doesn’t know who she can trust or turn to. She must rely on her own judgements to solve this mystery. If you are a fan of Young Adult, superhero or futuristic books then this will definitely tick those boxes.
Anger (Hero High Book 2) by Mina Chara. This is the 2nd entertaining book in the Hero High series. Its the story of a girl with super powers and she has been a part of the Hero Channel's most famous show Hero High. She meets 2 important heroes in this episode, the Figure of the Flames and Dr Dangerous. She is also dealing with anxiety on how to fit in to the school just like a normal teenager. She is trying to avoid the cameras that film her 24/7 so that she can investigate some bad guys. Her persona hero, Captain America wants to take her under her wing but his mentee Ashley is not having it. She doesn't trust Hero High in fact she doesn't know who to trust or not to trust. This book will keep you turning the pages until the very end. Its a fantastic book!
This is the second book in the Hero High series from Mina Chara and I would highly recommend that you read the first book in the series before you start with this one. This book does pick right up where we left off with book one and the characters continue on through as well as grow as you read. This is a young adult book so written towards that genre and I rather enjoyed it still. This series packs a punch and gives you lots of different story tidbits to please just about any reader. Everything from adventure, action, drama, mystery and suspense is thrown in to keep you on the edge of your seat reading to find out if the characters will make it through whatever task they are plagued with at the time. I look forward to seeing where the story will go next in the next book to come.
A perfect young adult book especially for those who are just entering into the young adult genre and want to ease into a story that flows easily.
This is the second instalment of the Hero High series and starts just where the first book left off so although you could follow it fine without reading book one, I'd encourage you to read book one first so you can really delve into life at Hero High and get to know the characters better. Anger didn't disappoint, it followed well from book one and the story intensified, I enjoyed following the characters development and got pulled in quickly to keep reading and see what was going to happen. I love the descriptions in Mina Charas' writing a lot, they really bring the story to life.
I am quickly starting to love Mina Chara's series Hero High, but the cliffhanger endings are killing me. Just finished book 2 Anger, and am anxiously awaiting reading book 3. This book is very short, and I read it in 1 night. While I highly recommend this series, I think you should just wait and read them all at once, because the ending is a terrible place to stop the book. It's right in the peak of the action. This story continues Friday's life at Hero High, and picks up where book 1 left off. There isn't a lot I can tell you without possible spoiler alerts... Friday comes in contact with the new Dr. Dangerous again, and things escalate quickly. She is still looking up to her mentor Sense. And the weird love/hate relationship between Friday and Ashley continues. Bring on book 3!
This is the second book in this series, I enjoyed it just as much if not more than the first one. This is a young adult story that is full of supernatural powers. It will keep you guessing as you try to figure out where the villians came from. This story is full of action with villains and heroes. The problem is you don’t know who is who and who is watching. Will the MC figure it out before it's too late? I enjoyed the characters in this story. I had no problem connecting with them, even the villains who helped make the story flow and engaging. It is fast paced and had me turning pages fast. I highly recommend this book as well as the first one, you won’t regret picking them up.
This book follows right where Denial (book 1) leaves off. Friday is trying to figure out what is going on and who has her back (and who doesn't). She is under constant scrutiny because people are watching her every move. She also knows some people are probably acting for the cameras and not being honest. She doesn't know if anyone can be trusted! I enjoyed this book. I am not much of a superhero story reader...but I have found myself pulled into both books in this series. I want to know what's really going on as much as the main character does! There is a lot...but it isn't overwhelming. I will continue to read the series to get my answers!
Anger is the second book in the Hero High series by Mina Chara. Holly Cow I devoured this book I couldn’t stop reading till I finished, I had to know what was going to happen next. I found myself on the edge of my seat only because I thought I had it figured out then I didn’t. I do highly recommend if you haven’t already read the first book to read it first because this one picks up where it leaves off. This story has plenty of action ,villains and heroes. One problem is you don’t know who is who or even who is watching. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.
If you liked Denial, then you will love Anger. Mina Chara picks up right where Denial ended. I love the characters with her story. There is one small problem, you do not know who are the bad people and who are good people. One way Mina Chara held my attention is that every time I think I know who is who here comes a detail to deter me from finding out the answers I seek. It is a fast pace story. It kept me at the edge of my seat. The mystery and adventure will keep you wanting more and more. I highly recommend reading Denial first so you can get all of the groundwork for the characters as well as Icon City. Then I would read Anger to see what else is going on.
Anger (Hero High Book 2) by Mina Chara was a quick and easy read. I loved that I was pulled in easily to the works focusing on Hero High. The author gives a bit of back story similar to what you would see with a tv series. As in previously on…. I loved Friday once again in this second book and holy cow the slow build up between her and Ashley. I loved it. I can’t wait to read more on them. I was intrigued still with the golden syringe and there is definitely more going on. I can’t wait to read what happens in the next book! Such a great and fun read!
Anger by Mina Chara is the second book in the Hero High series. This is a fun YA book which many can enjoy. The story picks up where the first book left off. I enjoyed this because it is not only a quick read but it is full of story, character, and world building. This is a read which flows well and I didn't want to put it down. Figure in the Flames and the copycat Dr Dangerous are back causing problems and Captain Fantastic might become a mentor. The problem is who can she trust. It seems there is someone out to make her fall. I really am enjoying the continuing story and look forward to more in this series.
Anger (Hero High Book w) by Mina Chara picks up where the first book left off. It is a Young Adult fantasy adventure story where a lot happens as the students learn more about themselves and what they can do and adjusting to life as a hero and being in a television reality show. Friday seems to always find herself in situations not of her making and getting herself out of them, but she is also drawn to finding out just what is going on and who is involved. If you love adventure heroes, a little mystery and an evil Dr D then this series is an intriguing read.
This is the second book in the series. We again are following along with a Friday Fitzsimmons on her life at Hero High. We get to see some old characters in here that we met in book 1. Friday is moving along with her Hero job and now she has runs across a couple syringes. She is trying to find out where they came from and who is using them. Meanwhile she is working with her mentor to improve her skills.
This is enjoyable and a fun read. Poor Friday gets into all kinds of trouble while on her quest.
Anger (Hero High book 2) by Mina Chara is a 3.5 star read. Friday Fitzsimmons is still trying to figure her way around Hero High and the camera’s, the new Dr Dangerous is hell bent on finding his place as a villain and making sure Friday is in the middle of his plans. Making new friends along the way Friday is trying to stop her anxiety worries getting in the way of her time at hero high. There was a little more excitement in this book but it still fell a little flat for me, but when I picked up the book I didn’t put it down until I was finished.
After reading the first book in this series I was so excited to get stuck into the second, it did not disappoint. The story picks up where book one finishes. I would recommend reading them in order to be able to follow the story properly. Whilst this book is only a hundred pages or so it does not fall flat or seem rushed, it’s packed with twist and turns and certainly enough fantasy to keep you gripped from beginning to end. Another great addition to a brilliant new series. Thank you Mina Chara.
Anger (Hero High Book 2) by Mina Chara. This series keeps getting better. I highly recommend reading these in order to fully understand and enjoy this adventure. While it’s on the shorter side it still had me guessing and turning the pages as fast as possible. This story holds so many things I love from drama and suspense to action and adventure. The characters are complex, relatable and pulled me in from page one. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. Four big stars for this great story.
Anger is the second book in the Hero High series by Mina Chara. This installment starts where the first book in the series, Denial, ends. I love these short installments that are easy and fast to read. The excitement continues in this book, with Friday continuing her training and learning how to be a SuperHero. This book is fast paced and the characters are well defined. This isn’t my usual genre, but I have really got hooked this this series. I can’t wait to read the next book.
This is the second book in the Hero High series by Mina Chara. This is not a standalone, you must read the first one so you know what’s going on. In this story Friday keeps trying to figure out what’s going on with Dr. Dangerous, and who he really is. Friday is trying to figure out what’s happening at hero high, and who she can trust. Going through her normal day to day routine and then on the side trying to discover what everyone seems to be hiding. This is a good second installment of this story, and I can’t wait for the third one!
