This book was a very short read, but made very little sense. It felt like the author was hoping to prompt readers into finding a deeper meaning within the story without there really being one. To the authors credit, there may be a deeper meaning and I simply missed out on finding it. I think uncovering the truth to that would require another read through of the book.

I picked this book up from an antique book store that was going out of business (5$/ box) not expecting much, lured in by the beautiful blue lining and art. I read it today at the spa, not knowing much about it to start but needing something to pass the time and relax.
I think I found this book by fate, it was exactly what I needed when I needed it. As someone who has recently felt a lot of loneliness, a lot of grief, a lot of want to escape; it was incredible. It's very short, just a snippet of an entire life, but you feel you really know the main character by the end. You've grown with him, you've seen him evolve, and maybe learnt a little about yourself along the way.
Definitely worth a read, I truly think it changed me.

i I am sure I read this book right after I bought it, years and years ago. But I seem to have completely forgotten the story in the meantime. It is a story of day to day life in a big city. It is a tale of close friendships that last a lifetime (if but a doggy lifetime), and of others that suddenly flash into existance and as suddenly fizzle away. For some people, a bicycle can provide such freedom it becomes a doorway to fantastic adventures such as a trip to the moon (or somewhere like that).

Read this for book club, and it was a cute little quick read. Under 100 pages so I read it in one sitting. Definitely FULL of lots of symbolism to the point where I was sometimes kinda lost, but I enjoyed the story overall.
