As the Samhain approaches, the veil thins and dark beings cross into the town of Shady Grove.

Just when her enemies thought they broke her, Grace Ann Bryant shows them an inner strength that they didn't know she possessed.

After the devastating events of the midsummer bonfire, Grace battles her emotions along with several new enemies include a so-called friend. While juggling a fiery Winnie and a growing Aydan, Grace leans hard on those she trusts, and she trusts no one more than her bard, Levi Rearden.

As a band of ghouls comes to collect, red-cloaked witches plan her demise, and a creature still lurks in the deep hole that was once her trailer park, Grace’s Uncle makes his move to destroy Grace, her family, and the exiles once and for all.

In true form, Grace faces these obstacles armed with a smart mouth and a tricksy bard by her side. The resolve of the exiles in Shady Grove will be tested by an ancient evil feared by humans and fairy alike. Will they stand behind their misfit Queen? Or will they turn on her when she needs them the most?

Well this is the first one after Dylan. I think that Grace and Levi start flirting again a bit too soon. I know they have always been close but I think there should have been a little more. I like the fight at the end and that we see the unicorn again. I missed the kids in this one, but saying that I like the seen where Winnie hurt the cockroach that was an ah bless moment. I liked Cletus and Tatar at the beginning of the fight seen.

Book 9 of the Fairy Tales of a Trailer Park Queen series picks up right where we left off in Book 8 and shows us not only Levi and Grace, but a whole town mourning the loss of Dylan. I found myself mourning right along with them. With the sad ending of book 8, I did not know what to expect coming into book 9. I expected to see Grace grieving and then, by the end, strengthening herself through the love and support of both her family and her town. This book made me laugh, it made me smile, and it made me cry. Combining amazing plot twists, heart-felt moments, and funny banter, Kimbra Swain is a master at using her words to invoke a roller coaster of powerful emotions in the reader that keep them coming back for more.

The 9th book of Kimbra Swain’s FTOATPQ series picks up where we left off:
Raw, bleeding and black with mourning.
There is no denying the power this series has held over me and its readers, pulling emotions and draining hearts.. the last few books have proven that.
It’s been a heavy ride, with grace trying to hold on to light and hope, not just for her children but hope for the future.
I didn’t know what to expect of Haint Blue but yet again, it exceeded any expectation I had held for it.
I imagined it to be dark. Which is was. Sad. Which it also was.. but this book lit a fire in not only grace but in myself.
Kimbra is masterful at meshing lore together. I’d never have thought you could take an apple and an orange (let’s call our plot these to avoid spoilers) and make the most delicious smoothie out of it, but that’s what Haint Blue is for me. A delicious and amazing lore smoothy, meshing so many different lore, cultures, God’s from so many different areas- it’s something I grinned at and had me saying “you’ve got to be kidding me!”
Not only did it make me gasp from unexpected plot twists, character development and hype for impending doom; but this book has done what I’d been missing (rightfully so) from the past couple books

It made me laugh my ass off.
Grace, Levi, and her family somehow manage the impossible. Kimbra manages the impossible with keeping respect for our fallen hero, sadness and grief while also proving that you can take the queen out of the trailer park but you can’t take the trailer park out of the Queen.
And I missed the ridiculous banter, the trash and the laugh out loud “oh my god, are you for real” moments.
Through the wake of tragedy, Haint Blue and the story develops in an amazing way while somehow also going back to the roots.

The story gets crazier. Grace gets colder. Levi shows and grows (harhar get it?)Into the man Grace refused to see before in the shadow of Dylan (as a die hard Levi girl from the beginning, it had me grinning from ear to ear) and it’s a story and battle of epic proportions.

Never In my life have I laughed so hard and been so nervous over the phrase “ride me,”
I loved every scrap of this book. I loved watching Grace, Levi, Winnie and Aydan mature into the amazing and epic creatures they need to be all while leaning on the amazing citizens of shady grove.
The kingdom is rising and the power players have been laid out.
Chills.
I’m ready for Fuller than a Tick, Brockton isn’t gonna know what hit him.

Awesome Series! SLEEP ROBBER!

I devoured the series through the 10th book in just a week. Impatiently waiting for the next book due out in Feb '19. If you like all sorts of fairies, were wolves, demi_gods... set in modern day, you'll LOVE this series. Snarky comments included for free. She's a trailer park queen and proud of it. You can make her a queen, but her heart will always be in the trailer park. And what a big heart she has, don't let her tell you differently. Descriptive worlds and fleshed out characters. Love stories and battles. What more could you want. A new twist on the Seelie and Unseelie fairies. Once you start this series you're immediately hooked, but BEWARE, this series will rob you of sleep. Your mantra will be, "One more page, just one more chapter". I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. NEXT BOOK, PLEASE!

Holy Smokes! Kimbra did it again. All the feels. All of them. Grace proves once again what a badass she is. Heartbreak doesn't stop her, only motivates her. She is a mother on a mission to protect Shady Grove and avenge Dylan. Levi, of course is her rock through it all. He steps up for the town and for Grace. While both of them grieve for Dylan, they push their guilt and attraction to each other down deep. This book in Kimbras series of Adventures of a Trailer Park Queen, will make you laugh, cuss and cry. I cannot wait to find out what happens next!

Another job well done!!

I have read all 9 books in this series and it just keeps getting better and better. I love how Grace has evolved and matured through out the series and has embraced her family. I'm not going to give any spoilers, but if you read the previous book, you will appreciate the contents of this one and how Grace deals with everything that has happened. I can't wait until the next one comes out to see what else Grace and the denizens of Shady Grove have to deal with. Excellent job, Ms. Swain, excellent job.

Emotions are War

There are many so many steps in the grieving process and Grace cannot see an end to the hole left by Dylan. With War looming as Samhain approaches and the Veil thins, Grace must learn how to handle mourning Dylan and in turn Loving Levi while keeping her family (her children and Shady Grove) safe.

I love how the reader feels as if the characters are speaking directly to them. This book is a serious case of Wolves, Knights, All things that go bump in the night and a Fairy Trailer Park Queen. I loved it!

With Samhain coming, Grace has to deal with a ghoul infestation supposedly trying to reclaim something of theirs, and intelligence regarding an impending attack, all while attempting to deal with grief and eventually attain closure. The veil thins, the problems mount, trust wanes as betrayals continue. Grace, a being not known for personal growth before Shady Grove, must decide; does she let the seemingly insurmountable issues consume her and drown Shady grove, or does she find something to latch onto in the turmoil, ascend, and start breaking bad?
An excellent read.

Haint Blue picks up after the tragedy in Sight for Sore eyes. Grace and Levi are working through their issues while Grace is still in mourning over Dylans death. This story includes the Samhain and the Great hunt.
You will feel like you are right there with all the characters and it all just plays out in front of you.
This definitely provided me with some closure I needed from the last installment. Eagerly awaiting the next installment

This book as with the others in this series has kept me hooked and on the edge of my seat. Its a shame when your reading and you try to swipe the page and nothing happens. So you try no once but at least 5 times thinking who knows what before you realize it had ended. Then you get that old familiar feeling in your gut that it can't be over. Then the reality sets in. Your in for the long wait. Well heres to another job well !

So good!

This book has it all! Grace fighting to find balance after her loss, Levi being so supportive yet never letting her forget that he loves her. Winnie learning to control her powers, Ayden saying Mommy, and a hard caught and won battle. It refreshed my heart after the tragedy from the previous book. I cried, laughed and felt happiness right along with all the characters. Now I will anxiously await the next book and hopefully the big battle!

Epic story all around!

Haint Blue continues the story of Grace, the Trailer Park Queen. It's a story of strength, love and loyalty. It's also about working through your grief and coming out stronger than ever on the other side. Grace and Levi lead the battle to save Shady Grove and the inhabitants. They find out who they can trust and rally everyone together toward an epic battle. It's also about second chances. This is one of my favorite stories!

Samhain and there is no party.

Levi, Grace and the town are facing problems sent them from the Otherworld. Grace comes up with an idea she believes might just work but, it will take a great deal of planning, coordination and convincing. If she can accomplish all that Shady Grove might just have a chance.

Good story, Grace is finally starting to heal and things are going better. I enjoyed this book and recommend it. Off to read the next in series.

Back to the story

This is a fun urban fantasy that involves the Trailer Park Queen and her Bard once again protecting her town and family. Both Grace and Levi are maturing and it is fun reading about their exploits and personal growth. I admit that pulling in characters from Camelot at first had me worried but Kimbra is pulling it off so far plus this book hints at yet another mythos forthcoming.

Fairys,Ghouls and Knights oh my and a Samhain celebration. I enjoyed Haint Blue very much. This series never fails to deliver a solid, entertaining story. Grace is a strong, relatable and lovable lead character and I’m always eager to gobble this series up like a child with their Halloween candy! Start the series and you will not be sorry.

Great series

Book nine and I am still wildly engaged in this world. Swain does a great job of bringing in New plot details and surprises. I was concerned about where the story would go after the devastation and tears book eight left me with, but it was excellently handled. I'm glad she didn't gloss over the grieving process. Excellent job. Read the series in order.

Grace gets more amazing

I'm so amazed at how much Grace has grown and realized what she can do as a mother and a queen. This book was amazing with how many people helped. There were so many twists and turns, and so much unexpected events around town. Even Cletus and Tater helped out. 😁

Whew! What an epic series!

You have to read all 8 that came before this one, first! They will take you on an amazing journey! There’s an epic battle in this one, but somehow, I don’t think it’s the last...
Enjoy!

A Supurb follow up <3

This was the absolute best way to follow up the last book! A gentle reminder that love is forever, as is the strength of our Grace. My only issue? Now I have to wait for the next one!!!

Good battle story, I feel like a lot was resolved in this installment. Although I don't know if I want grace to end up with Levi it just seems too logical. I want to know if she's ever going to be queen in the other world as well. This was one of the better chapters.

This was by far the best, most emotionally developed of the books to date. Character development does not take hundreds of pages, and Kimbra has shown that. Brevity, in some cases, is the best way to approach a novel. Good stories needn't be over 400+ pages.

Love the genre - thought I'd take a look at this series. It was interesting - I still liked the premise but as the world expanded... the writing got a bit muddy. I'm still looking forwards to the next installment!

OMG SO FUNNY

Kimbra,
You are awesome. I just love Grace and Levi. When Dylan died I was heartbroken. But now I see why he had to die. To save your own child's life, knowing you will not live. Is a beautiful thing. Once more I say thanks for sharing your dreams with us.
