The warning siren blares across Shady Grove, and Grace Ann's trailer sits in the path of a supernatural storm.

At least her daughter is having a great time with the pixie that she caught. So much for that mom to daughter, heart to heart talk about fairies.
Grace is neck deep in the issues of Shady Grove and her family. The last thing she needed was a wind sylph determined to destroy Shady Grove. The crew has to find out what got her panties in a wad while a mysterious man lurks around town. Grace is sure she knows him. Everyone insists that she give him some room, but she's tired of being told what to do. It's time Grace takes things into her own hands.
The winds are picking up in Shady Grove. Will Grace and the town survive the tumult? Watch out, Shady Grove! It's comin' up a cloud.
Gully Washer
Grace and company face enough rain and turmoil to swallow Shady Grove whole.
As spring rains cause the swamps to rise, Shady Grove and its citizens decide that it might be best to shut off the town from the rest of the human world. Grace Ann Bryant, the Queen of the Exiles, and Levi Rearden, her bard, unsuccessfully attempt to protect the town with a huge ward. They need the songbook that Jeremiah Freyman took into the Otherworld, but do they risk the unknown to retrieve the book from the Summer Realm.
During the midst of this crisis, Grace’s nemesis, Stephanie Davis, returns to Shady Grove despite being banished with a shocking announcement. Following her arrival, a flood of new problems including a traitor in the fairy council plague Grace’s life. How will Grace handle the nastier parts of her duties as queen? Can she make the tough decisions even if it means sending her servants into the Otherworld or executing a traitor? Will her father’s power drain her has it had once before?
Dylan, Levi, and Grace tread water while trying to keep the town from sinking.

Even though their were a few mild spelling and grammar errors for instance one point refers to Winnie as a he a or forgotten last letter of a word or a transition word is forgotten, but it doesn't matter to me the story it's self drags you in and you don't want to put it down. I loved the latest adventures of Grace and the town meeting her "twin"was cool adds a new perspective on her and as he's still a mystery adds some drama, with Stephanie's return and Levi drama the books didn't lack for action or romance, the last book is something between a prequel and the book she reads at the end of gully washer and I equally enjoyed it even of parts were just a repeat of BYH. The only thing I didn't like was the cast off characters at the end gave toouch away of the next book. Over All I highly recommend this book/series but don't start here if you can start with BYH trust me you'll appreciate it latter.

The first three books drew me in... Now I am heartbroken, but still looking forward to what comes next. I am hoping that there are many more of these books, because I am completely hooked on the southern sass and all the heart. The characters have become friends and I just can't wait to see how this all evolves.
These books are never short on action. Plots twist and turn, and what you thought you knew gets turned on its head at least once in every book... But they're very easy to read. Books 4and 5 directly follow on from each other, book 6 takes a step backwards and gives us Dylan's perspective on their relationship, ending in the present and ready to lead us on into Book 7.
I am so addicted to this series. The character development is incredible, the laughs combined with the feels and a little suspense sprinkled in is just what a good series is made of.
Oh my goodness I love these stories, I'm addicted. Been staying up far too late as I can't put them down. Plenty of laughs, but now they have hurts, have tissue, handy.
Once again Kimbra Swain did not disappoint me. With all the worlds and characters I basically put my sewing down too much to read and continue the saga of my new friends. Even a few misspellings did not deter me from continuing the stories. Off to the next set of books.
Love the genre - thought I'd take a look at this series. It was interesting - I liked the premise and could see the writing develop. I'm getting a sense of the characters, and I'm looking forwards to the next installment!
The insanity continues with more characters from the Otherworld and more drama in The Queen's life. Such as it is, the side discussions between the Bard and The Queen are not as irritating but still interrupt the story flow. They don't hint as much about the events to come because this is a rehash of the previous book from another character's view. I enjoyed it but just not as much because most of the events I already knew of.
Glad I decided to start reading this series. Do not let the title fool you. Its not the kind of fairy tales you would read to your child. But if you love urban fantasy, I highly recommend this series.
I really enjoy a story that has multiple levels and a diverse group of characters. As I get further into Grace's adventures it gets a!it more difficult to do other things...like cleaning the house.
I can’t believe how much fun and action are in these books . They are great reads and can’t wait to read more of them. I already have books 7 through 9 to read. Thanks
