Rate this book
Trey Davis doesn’t believe in fate.

With an alcoholic abusive father and a drug addict mother, he couldn’t afford to. He lived through hell as a child and came out on the other side, stronger than ever. But have those years ruined any chance he has at a future?

Addilyn Burke used to believe in happy endings. She was a glass half full, look for the silver lining kind of girl before the cruel hand of fate came crashing down on top of her. Now, her future is unknown and she refuses to drag anyone else down with her. But how long before the weight of her decision crushes her?

Two friends – brought together by circumstance and pushed apart by fear. One running from the demons in his past and the other running the uncertainty of her future.

Can they stop running long enough to see that everything they’ve ever wanted is right in front of them? Or will they be just two more victims of fate?

Another Fab read from A.M Meyers. One I couldn’t put down until I absorbed it all.

What a finish to such a great series, Starting off with Nix and Em’s story and finishing with Addy and Trey this has been one emotional journey.

Addy has lots of hidden secrets and Trey too isn’t without his own demons following him. The chemistry between the two is palpable and I love how we get to see Nix and Em’s right at the start as well. Its brilliant when a book intertwines with the other couples and we get glimpses of how everyone is doing.

Dont’t get me wrong there were many times I sobbed uncontrollably onto the pages, especially during the letters and the one from Trey’s mum was pretty unbearable, but at the same time they warmed my heart so much.

When Addy comes across the storm, my heart was out of my chest and I knew that bad things were about to happen but knowing A.M Meyers, I could feel this story was going to turnaround, and it did.

A fabulous start middle and end which had me at the edge of my seat at times and reaching for many tissues at others.

This series it a must read from the start and nothing disappoints.

Evading Fate had my emotions all over the place. You've met and if like me have fallen in love with Addilyn and Trey in Hidden Scars and Collateral Damage but you will fall in love even more with them in this book. My heart broke for them both. Both Addilyn and Trey were facing different but equally traumatic situations and felt like they might not deserve each other. Evading Fate is about how you can let Fate take its course or fight it and run the opposite way.

A.M Meyers has once again brought you into this book world that draws you in and grabs your attention from page one until the very end. This book was relatable in so many ways and I'm sure will touch other people as well.

I read Evading Fate in under a day - could not put this book down and was sad to see it end. Another 5 Star Read by A.M. Meyers! Can't wait for more from her!

P.S. I hope we get to see more of Emma, Nix, Tucker, Daisy, Addilyn and Trey in the future!

When I started reading this, I knew I was missing something. Then realized it was #3 in the series. So makes total sense. So based on that, I have to really rate this with just knowing #3.

Addy and Trey have got to be the most frustrating, wishy washy characters I've read. It's obvious to me they both have intense feelings for each other. But both are fighting different demons. Addy doesn't want to come clean with her "secret". Trey, I swear has no idea what the heck he wants. It's like I love you, jealousy, mean words, I love you, I'll never let you go, you're mine... oh wait I'm letting you go, wait what?! I wanted to punch him really hard.

If you get past the characters and their faults. Which I think is why I didn't connect with the characters. The story behind them was good and the writing was well done. But I think there was just a ton of unnecessary drama.

Overall, I have to give this Three Boundless Stars...Lissa

Beth's Review

I am a lover of friends to lover stories so when I read the synopsis for this one and couldn’t wait to check it out. I have not read anything by this author yet but was very much looking forward to checking her work out as I love finding new authors to read.

Addy dreams of finding the love her mother and father shared but knows she will never be able to have it. Trey didn’t have a great childhood but was very lucky to be taken in by the Harringtons after his mother’s death. Trey is trying to move on from his past while Addy is trying to avoid her future. These two have become good friends after the rest of their group have now seemed to find love. Trey and Addy have become that go to person for each other but after one night of drunkenness and a simple kiss all that changes and lines have been crossed. They try to go back over the line but now that they have unleashed those feelings, they can’t seem to put them away. But Addy is determined to not let her walls down and truly let Trey in, after seeing what has happened to her mother, she doesn’t want to do that to Trey or anyone else.

Evading Fate is the third story in the Hidden Scars series and it states it can be read as a stand alone. It was an enjoyable read and I agree that it can be read without reading the first two but I do feel I would have enjoyed this one much more had I first read the stories of the other characters we see in this one. I enjoyed the dynamic the author build between Addy and Trey and really liked how she played out and built up the friendship to be more. This one was definitely filled with many emotional moments with some drama added in on the side. Both Addy and Trey have had moments in their life that have been trying for them. They are still trying to deal with them now and I think the connection they shared and their friendship truly helped them deal with it all. I also enjoyed that after their first kiss that the author didn’t rush fully into things changing with them and loved that there was some buildup of their friendship becoming more.

I really loved Trey’s character. He was hot and sexy with a bit of alpha in him but he was loving and caring. He didn’t have a great start to life with his mother being addicted to drugs and his father an alcoholic showing up every so often to lay a beating on both him and his mother, but he became determined when given a second chance with the Harringtons to not become anything like his parents. I also loved how understanding he was. He recognized that she needed to open up to him on her terms and he waited with such great patience.

Overall this was an enjoyable read that had some great hot and sexy parts but also some sweet and very emotional parts. This may have been my first book by this author but it won’t be my last.

I absolutely love A.M. Myers, so I was thrilled to have to opportunity to beta read Evading Fate. I have loved these characters from the very first book in the series. The beginning of this book picks up at Emma and Nix's wedding. There was so much love and romance happening, and it left Addy yearning for some of the same. She's holding back some secrets that are leaving her with feelings of envy for what her friends have. I was curious to know more about her secrets. The intimate scenes that come along between Addy and Trey are described so beautifully, it is as if I am there alongside them. Addy is a very strong-willed and loyal person. It is demonstrated especially by her promise to not share her problems with anyone, even to seek support, because she gave her mom her word. She seeks comfort in Trey, but she never fully lets him in on what she's hiding. I could feel the weight of her burden with each turn of the page. Another thing that jumped from the pages of this book were Trey and Addy's pure fire passion for one another. As things progressed, I liked that Trey was beginning to share his past and secrets with Addy. This in turn made her walls begin to crumble as well. I loved to see her wanting to open up to him. The love letters sections of the book were so rich and beautiful, yet also broke my heart a little more each time, especially the letter that Addy's mom wrote right after her dad died. As the book goes on and I got to see more of what was happening with Addy's mom, I found it hard to keep my eyes from tearing up. Those scenes were devastating, yet written to perfection. When Addy was driving in the storm, I had such a bad feeling about things to come. And when Addy is in the hospital and no one can "find" her mom, it's even more of a tearjerker. I will say that I wanted to slap Trey for what he does after Addy wakes up in the hospital. I mean hell, the girl just woke up after a terrible accident. Let her explain her feelings and keep fighting for what you want! I was quick to forgive Trey after seeing what he does at the nursing home later. It was the best thing ever and I may have fallen in love with him in that moment. The ending of this book was really lovely and made up for the range of emotions that I suffered throughout. I also found that the second epilogue really showed their strength as a couple and was a perfect ending to a wonderful love story. Evading Fate was a fabulous read. I cannot wait to see what A.M. Myers will cook up next.

Addilyn Burke is trying to figure out her life. She is currently dating Kyle but part of her is being drawn towards Trey, one of her best friends. Trey has always been there for her but Addilyn is afraid to let anyone get close to her due to what her mom is going through.

Trey Davis has fallen for Addilyn but doesn't understand why she keeps allowing them to get close only to have her push him away. After she breaks up with Kyle they finally get together only to have her say it can't happen again.

Will Trey finally be able to break through Addiyln's walls and when it is evident that Kyle hasn't given up what will Trey do? Will he walk away until Addilyn can truly figure out what she wants and needs?

But will Trey be there for her when she needs him the most?

This was such a beautiful book on being truly scared for the future. This is a story that I can completely relate to as both of my grandma's suffered from Alzheimer's and so this is something I have also thought about at great lengths.

I was sad about the promise that Addilyn made to her mom as I understand from her mom's perspective but it made Addilyn so alone when she could have used the support to get through the difficult times.

I loved that Trey completely stuck by her but I was definitely mad at him a few times for his reactions. I did understand where he was coming from but being in the dark about everything definitely didn't help his situation. I loved learning more about Trey and his past as well. He went through such a hard time as a youngster and I am so glad that he got to where he did through the love of his adopted family.

This is the first book I have read by this author and it definitely will not be my last!

I loved this story. Addy has been watching her friends met the men of their dreams, find love, and get married. She longs for the same thing, however, she doesn't think that happily ever after is in her future. She serial dates, love 'em and leave 'em before she gets too involved. Trey is the brother of one of her best friends. While Addy's friends are finding love, she finds herself spending more time with Trey. They share a kiss and neither one can get forget the overwhelming feelings that it causes. Addy tells Trey they can only be friends, Trey agrees but as time passes things change. Trey wants Addy but Trey has his own ghosts he is fighting. Addy has a dark secret that she thinks will change the way Trey feels and sees her. Trey worries that his upbringing with affect his relationship with Addy. Can they trust each other not only with their hearts but with their biggest fears before a misunderstanding destroys everything. Soon Addy realizes that you can't continue Evading Fate.

I found Addy's fears and concerns very believable. The emotional roller coaster that Trey and Addy experience is the back bone of the story. This book made me cry, made me angry, and I will admit I did a little yelling at the characters. This is the third book in a series but don't feel that you can't read it if you don't have the others. I haven't read any of the other books in the series and I was able to keep up with the story. Some of the side story lines make me curious for the other character stories so I will be getting the other books but I feel this could be read as a stand alone. AM Myers will be going on my TBR always list.

Evading Fate is the third book in the series, but the first book that I have read by A.M. Myers. I really liked this book and now I will be going back to the first two books to read Emma and Nix and Tucker and Daisy's stories.

Trey and Addy are friends, best friends to be specific. I know a little about this type of relationship, as I married my best friend. Thinking that they could stay friends, they both tried to deny the attraction that they had for each other for a long while. Trey is a one woman kind of guy so when he falls, he falls hard. He just didn't realize that the other relationships were not working out because they weren't Addy. Addy needs a special kind of guy. Her most recent boyfriend was great on paper, but just wan't doing it for her. She knows that there is a special someone out there for her. She just doesn't realize that she has been looking at him all along. However, Addy is hesitant to start something serious when she has a big secret that she is keeping that would effect her future.

I loved Trey and Addy. Their characters were so easy to fall into. Trey is very supporting and caring and a great "friend". I really enjoyed the bond that Emma, Daisy and Addy have. Their banter and friendship came across as genuine. All of the characters, Tucker and Nix included added a layer of to the story that brought out a family element that just made the book. Addy's guilt and sadness over her mother and her future pulled at your heart. I loved Trey for being the rock that Addy needed.

Evading Fate is a great read and I can't wait to dig into the rest of the books in this series.

So, this a stand-alone within a series of stand-alones. I haven't read any of the others and now, I doubt I will. For one major reason...
This book contains SPOILERS GALORE! I know I shouldn't let it put me off enjoying this book, but it kind of did.

On to my review for this book though...
it is really repetitive. I lost count of the amount of times Addy drones on and on about wanting that something special, but not being able to give it, then going on dates, then talking about how her future is ruined by the Alzheimer's. It was like listening to a broken record. Round and round and round and round...
I found this book didn't have anything overly new for me. It felt like the type of book I've read before, more than once. There was nothing that overly grabbed my attention.

Now I've got all that all that off my chest, I will say I really fell in love with the characters, every single one of them. They all come across as real and the type of people you want in your corner.
Apart from the repetitivness from Addy, I found the story flowed well and was actually well written.
Just for me, it didn't stand out in a crowd of best friends to lovers books.

Amazing book.
I loved the book . Just loved it.
Best of the series which was hard to do as Nix and Em’s story was awesome.

He stops what he’s doing and stands, coming over to me and leaning over me, caging me in with his arms, his eyes burning into me. The intensity in them is scary and exciting and everything I’m not supposed to want anymore. “There was no way in hell that I was leaving you last night. I promised you that I was here for you and until you send me away, that’s the way it’s going to be. Maybe not even then.”
Well… all right, then

Trey and Addy have had a lot happen in their lives. They have lost a lot in their lives and lately they have watched their friends beat the odds and fall in love.
This is just a beautiful book. There are tears and laughter through out but it ends with love and joy

I dont actually think i can give it enough stars here. This is more than 5 star worthy
I cried, i laughed, i sobbed hysterically, i laughed and i sighed
Beautiful story, just beautiful

I can't believe this is the end!! I have been head over heels with this series since Emma first meet Nix in book 1! I was absolutely honored to Beta read Evading Fate!

Addy and Trey's story is a bit more heart breaking in my opinion. I ugly cried more times than I cared to count! I also smiled and laughed. Meyers did an amazing job tying all three book together. You could read each one as an individual but for maximum emotional ties start with Hidden Scars!
Addy is so stubborn and is going through a hard time thinking she can keep this painful secret from her friends and family!
Trey is future husband goals!! I love him. He is emotionally raw from his past but following along with him as he figures out who he is as a man is truly something not to be missed!!
Congrats A.M. Meyers on another 5 star read!!

I've read a few books by A.M Myers and THIS is one of the reasons why I come back for more. A.M. Myers writes the stories we ALL need to believe in, the ones we want to fight for what we have and don't give up for anything stories. Ahhhh I love them.

Addy and Trey grew up as friends, with Nix, Emma, Tucker and Daisy and they thought that's the way it would always be. When they start feeling more for each other, things get a little complicated, and they have to find a way to make it work or walk away, and that thought hurts them both.

These wonderful characters pull you in and won't let you go. They've gone through so much and deserve their own happiness. I grew up in a similar situation and outside circumstances can change so much. Come see what happens with A.M. Myers and these fabulous characters with the conclusion of the Hidden Scars series.

REAL RATING: 2.5 STARS
TITLE: EVADING FATE
SERIES: HIDDEN SCARS, BOOK #3
AUTHOR: A.M. MYERS
GENRE: CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE

This book is the third and final (?) installment of the Hidden Scars series and CAN'T BE READ AS AN STANDALONE unless you want to spoil yourself the plot of the previous books as happened to me.

I'm having trouble to write this review because I thought I'd love this story but I didn't. The premise was good but the development didn't live up to it, at least not for me.

BLURB

Fate.

I’ve been running from it most of my life – doing everything I can to avoid the future it had dictated for me. If I had learned one thing from the hell I went through as a child, it was that I never wanted to go back. Until I ran into someone who was running from her destiny just as hard as I was.

And it just so happens that she’s one of my best friends.

One night, emboldened by alcohol, she does something that has me questioning everything and it doesn’t take me long to realize that maybe instead of running away from something, I’ve been racing to her all along. But there is fear in her eyes and I know that her fate won’t be so easily shaken.

Will I ever be able to work past her fear to show her everything we could be? Or am I destined for the same kind of desolate life I’ve been fleeing from since I was a kid?

I enjoyed the first 40% or so of the story, I like the building of the romance between Addy and Trey though I really couldn't stand the heroine. There was way too much inner dialogue from her telling that she was sad because she wanted something really hard that she could never have. The first three times was okay, but when it kept being mentioned through the whole story it got to be annoying. You can mention it once or twice at most, the reader will understand. I really found myself reading some paragraphs as fast as I could to *kind of* skip those repetitive statements.

Regarding the characters, Addy is really hard to empathise with, she's always complaining about her 'fate' without actually learning if her fears are sustained or not, and she pushes everyone she loves away for an illogical reason. Trey himself was much more enjoyable the first half of the book, but then started acting as an ass*ole, and even when it was understandable that he didn't know what to do with Addy because she wouldn't open to him, I didn't like at all that he kept justifying his behaviour by saying "You make me crazy, Addy". I mean, it sounds pretty messed up that you can't control yourself and blame the woman for 'making you crazy'. I'm sure he meant it in a 'romantic' way, but it ended up being disturbing.
The secondary characters were more lovable than the heroes, for sure. Addy's friends were funny and loyal. And Trey's family is the sweetest and they're really supportive. I also fell in love with Addy's parents' story, I'd enjoy reading something from them.

In conclusion, this story was sweet for some moments, but the protagonists wasted so much time that we barely got to see their bright side together. I did enjoyed the beginning and the ending, but I rushed through the middle, not fancing it so much.

This is another friends to lovers story in this interconnected series of standalone books. Having read Collateral Damage prior to this one, I was already familiar with the main characters Trey and Addilyn. But in this story I got to see different sides of them and learn more about their sad pasts and present.

This story started off a bit slow for me. There was something the author kept alluding to for Addy and it massively impacted the actions, thoughts, and choices she made. But we the readers have no clue what it is for a while into the book. So it was a bit frustrating to be reading and knowing there was something going on but it was hidden not only from the hero, but also from the reader for a while. It made it hard to relate to Addy in the beginning.

However once I knew what was going on, I was steadily pulled into the story. Trey was this great, well written character from start to finish. Even in his moments of acting a bit overly possessive and like a jerk, I understood the frustration that lead to his choices and sympathized with him. And then you had Addilyn who was going through so much. She had this insane amount of stress and life changes going on, and she wanted so badly to reach out to someone, but felt she couldn't. By the end of the story I was completely invested in both of these characters.

I loved getting to revisit with Tucker and Daisy from the previous story, and also to see more of Nix and Emma. While I did have moments, not only in the beginning that I felt the story slowed down a bit unnecessarily, I still really enjoyed it overall.

Another enigmatic title made me think what would be its true meaning. I found myself wondering if I would find a love story or a story of escape and suspense.
A.M. Myers is a new author to me and that made this reading cautious. First because I didn't know what I would find and then because I didn't know what kind of writing or plot I would have.
And every time I finish a book I want to beat me because I note that all these fears were groundless.
Her writing is very simple and quite funny which made reading rather soft and fluid.
Evading Fate tells the stories of Addilyn and Trey.
Addilyn is a woman determined to do what needs to be done in order to achieve success and because of that she’s a successful business woman. When you had some wonderful parents with a wonderful love story we tend to want the same, but sometimes that’s not always easy.
Trey is a man with a past marked by neglect and abandonment. When his mother died he was fortunate enough to be adopted by a great couple but the traumas are still there. He feels that something's missing in his life. In spite of his past he wants to find what he lacks, he wants to find love. But it is not always easy and sometimes we don't notice what's right under our noses.
This book was without doubt one of the most intense I’ve ever read. The level of feelings that are exploited in this story is of such a high level that became overwhelming.
The unknown, uncertainty, love are explored in a way that made me glued to the book without wanting to stop reading. I feared for the happiness of the characters, I cried through the sorrows and laughs for the joys. And the hot scenes were hot and breathtaking. Oh my god ...
A.M. Myers I am speechless. I love what I’ve read and now I want more.

Evading Fate by A.M. Myers is book 3 in her Hidden Scars Series.

Now that all of their friends have found love and are spending more time with their significant others, Addilyn and Trey find themselves becoming closer, in fact they think of each other as best friends.

But all that changes with one Kiss.

Both of them are carrying baggage though and need to work through it in order to make a relationship work.

Before I start my review, I have to warn you that I have not read the first two books yet. Luckily for me, there is enough back story that I didn't feel lost as I read this book.

I'll be honest, I watched my grandmother slowly deteriorate from Alzheimer's so I can completely identify with Addilyn's reservations. Watching your loved ones become shells of the people you grew up with is brutal, and the authors descriptions were spot on!

It broke my heart to hear Trey's story. I can understand how he feels alienated from the people who love him, after growing up how he did. He did an amazing job pulling himself together and making a life for himself.

I found myself really feeling the struggle they both went through.

The only thing that didn't quite jive with me in this book was Kyle. It kind of felt like the author was trying to create more drama, but to me it fell a little flat in the end. I think it already had enough drama without that part.

Otherwise I loved this book and I've already got the first two books on my kindle waiting to be read.

Trey has had a tough childhood, and after a tragic event he was finally able to have some sort of a normal life. He has had relationships that have failed, and for now he is quiet happy to be single. He has family, friends, and his best friend Addilyn aka Addy by his side. He has always had fun with Addy whether it be watching shows or just talking. However, after that night he can’t take his mind of Addy and not just as a friend, he wants more.

Addy’s best friend is Trey and they talk frequently, so when he just starts to ignore her she confronts him. After talking and finding out what happened between them causes her to see Trey through a new light, but she has secrets that the girls don’t even know about.

“Everything that I’ve been feeling and struggling with for so long is swimming in his honey-colored eyes, and I feel safe to let him see the things I’ve been hiding from everyone else” – Addilyn

Yet she isn’t the only one with walls, and Trey isn’t ready to share his secrets either.

I’m new to A.M.’s writing, and my only regret is not starting with the first book in the Hidden Scars series. It’s a standalone but I totally recommend to go in order. Besides that, I loved this book. Those letters were so sweet and filled with love – I want that kind of love. Addy tried to be strong for herself, but she need someone and Trey was just that person. Sad to see this series end after just getting to know about it.

Evading Fate was a great 5 star read.

This is Addy and Trey’s story. I am emotionally exhausted after this read, warning: you may have some ugly cry moments.

These two have been friends for years, until one day they started seeing more in each other. Of course this comes with complications that they both struggle with. Can they move past the issues and be together?

I really enjoyed reading about these two, the heat was definitely there. I was on the edge of my seat at times. This is a great friends to lovers read. Watching these two eventually connect was great and there is so much more to their story. I really enjoyed Trey, he was a hot and sexy alpha who was great for Addy. If you like friends to romance reads you will love this book and series. 1-click and get started today. Thank you A.M. Myers for a great read.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ...

Firstly i’m not always a fan of Bestfriends to Lovers, but i have to say that i thoroughly enjoyed this one !!!

Addy is a strong willed girl, but she carries a heavy burden and her secrets close. Trey has become, and is her best friend, though he to has deep issues that he keeps. As their friendships steps across the boundaries, i can honestly say that i was totally hooked. The intimacy between them both was written beautifully and i felt i was right there with them. The way Trey opens up to Addy just made me love him all the more. The sexual chemistry was leaping out of the pages. This couple face so much, at times i couldn’t see how they could remain friends or even win as a couple. Their interactions had me fully engaged, going from laughing to fugly crying, and to huge smiles. OMG the love letters !! YEP my heart was shattering !! My emotions, at points were all over the place and when Addy ends up in hospital !! wow !! this book was a brilliant read from beginning to end and one i’d highly recommend!! Great story, super writing and characters you can really connect to and love !!

A.M. Myers is a new author to me, having never read her other two books in this series.
As I stated I haven't read the other two books, but this cold be read as a standalone I feel. I was able to connect to the main characters and get a feel for the others in the book. I was not disappointed in it at all.
This is Addilyn and Trey's story, it's bittersweet since it appears that they are the last two of the 6 friends to hook up. It has Addilyn going from being jealous but yet so happy for her friends, yet she is lonely, her life seems to be hidden behind secrets she is unable to share and with it comes the jealousy.
Trey coming from a horrid past and being brought into the Harrington fold has given him all he thought he wanted. He learned from past mistakes on women to go about things differently until the night of Nix and Emma's wedding, when his world is rocked and he has to try to figure out what to do next.
Addilyn dreams of something she can't have, or can she? I guess you will have to read this one to find out as it does keep the pages turning with a few surprises thrown in there as well ...
I like the authors writing style and will look for more of her work.
If you read the other Hidden Scars then you want this to complete your series.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Firstly i'm not always a fan of Best friends to Lovers, but i have to say that i thoroughly enjoyed this one !!!

The Hidden Scars series is brilliantly done and the last chapter Evading Fate is the perfect completion of the series. I cannot begin to tell you how much I hate to say goodbye to these characters. Once again AM Myers has written a story that will make you laugh, cry, and care so much you heart feels like it can't take in anymore. Addy and Trey's story is the epitome of 2 people who have everything going wrong for them who find love. it is not a love easily found and won but one they must grab and hold on tight two.

You will love both of the main characters and like them as well Myers has a way with giving you an indepth understanding of the characters motivation and back story. I do not mind the past and present references as it gives great insight to the characters. Once again the strong familial support for these two is the reason why you will not be able to put this book down. I hope that we will see more of these characters because I have grown quite attached to all of them.
If you have never read Myer's work please give these books a try. They can be read as standalone but read one after another you will be amazed by what this author has accomplished with her debut work.

What a powerful read. Although I have to admit sometimes I just wanted to pop both Addy and Trey upside the head for some of the moves and decisions they make I also have to keep in mind both had deep scars and issues to work thru. The emotion of the story jumps off the pages and into you heart as they struggle with the past and in Addy's case a future that terrifies her. But before that can happen Addy need to reveal some secrets before they destroy what is standing within arms reach. Will she do it before she looses Trey or will she let promises keep her from what she desires most. Will Trey be able to keep his promise to always be there or will he let Addy push him away?

A masterfully presented story with strong and loving family to lend a hand and a kind word or dig. This group works well together and keep the story strong and believable. Matter of fact I kinda read these out of order but now I really need to read the others since this was so good. I highly recommend it.

Evading Fate was an exceptional story of a friends to romance. Trey and Addy were very good friends for a long time becoming best friends as they grew older. All of a sudden one day they saw each other differently. They have both been through so much pain in their childhoods. They each had their own stories that kind of kept them guarded. Finally they were able to overcome their past and let the future lead them.

This story kept me interested from beginning to end. I felt like i was able to connect with Addy in a way because of her fears of genetics and her worry of passing things down to her future children if there were to be any. I was born with a common birth defect and there was a chance that i could pass it down to my kids, and one of my kids has it and the other doesn't. I liked bwinf able to connect with a character in that way.

I loved this book and would recommend it along with the first 2 books in the series.

Trey is to hot for his own good but then again all ashley's men are
With everything that happened with emma, nix, daisy and tucker. Addy and trey felt left out so they become best friends, they have never seen each other more than friends but all that comes to a head, addy does not want to be with trey but she does, she is setting his up for heartbreak and she can't have that, trey knows something is hurting addy and wants to know so he can help
Little does he know there is not much he can do to help addy

I really, really liked this book. So much so that by the end, I loved this book. I wasn't crazy about how much Addy kept putting off telling Trey her secret fears, but I went with it and I loved the story. The storyline was well written and flowed rather smoothly, it was just me screaming at her to tell him, but that was just me. The characters were so well developed and each of the main characters back story so heartbreaking that you couldn't help but cheer them on and hope and pray for the end results to be what you hoped they would be. My "aaaawww" moment came at the nursing home when Trey went along with Addy's mom thinking that Trey was actually her husband. He's such a great guy. My only grievance is that I wished that Nix would have let Emma tear into Kyle like she wanted to. LOL. This is a beautiful story about love and finding your future.
