Jordan Fletcher is a young lawyer who isn't respected or taken seriously by other attorneys, judges or the police. When Jordan's boss give him a seemingly unwinnable double murder case, Jordan decides this case will make or break his career. His client is Damien Brogdon, a young man who is accused of brutally murdering his wife and daughter in their sleep. Jordan comes to believe Damien as the latter professes his innocence, claiming that the real killer was a masked man who inexplicably had a key to his house. Jordan, fueled by the chance to save an innocent man's life and make something out of his own career, pulls out all the stops to clear Damien. Jordan has to contend with a tough prosecutor, a racist police lieutenant he has a history with, and a hostile public, all of whom want to see Damien locked up. As he continues to investigate, he makes a shocking discovery that puts his own life and the lives of his friends in danger. Jordan knows he has to find the real killer soon, or else the killer's next victim will be him.
