Really enjoyed the back and forth between Kian and Kalugal ... Kian likes to outdo others and Kalugal puts him to the test. I didn't enjoy Jacki much in the previous two books, but she really grew on me in this book. Also, I really enjoyed the Dune references in the book ... made me smile:)

I really tried to not read this book all in 1 day. I only succeeded in delaying the inevitable. I finished it the next morning. Now, to wait for another month is not going to be fun. Reading the first 3 chapters of the next book only left me hungry for more. Another thing I'm waiting for is more of Ananni"s story of her past life.

Nail bitter

And the story continues with twists and turns. It will be a long month until the next book. Oh well, something to look forward to.

It Was...A'ight

It seems like, with these last few books, approximately every other book is good. It was kinda meh... which is disappointing when you're waiting (impatiently) for weeks for it to come out.

I think we were told who the spy was in the last book. Well, the mole makes a move that could be devastating to the Clan. Personally, I think they should take said mole and tie them to a tree out in woods...but that's just me.

The situation with Arwel and Jacki being held by Kalugal was... interesting...a little predictable. I was looking for a little more excitement in that, but I didn't get any.

And there was no sex in this one. (I guess, technically, there was because Richard and Ingrid got it on...but we weren't privy to any of it.) I'm not necessarily a fan of overly descriptive or gratituitous sex that does nothing for the story...but a little heat never hurt nobody. (Yes... I know that is grammatically incorrect.)

Soo...yeah...no sex...no transitions...no real excitement. But I like Kalugal...and Lokan, even though we only got a brief taste of him...and I kinda like Jacki....so, 3 stars.

By my logic, the next book should be dy-no-mite..."Fates," I hope so!

Had a lot going on

This one had a lot going on. The negotiation with Kalugal and Kian were overly long, especially after they settled on something and then Kian’s POV came and he said he was calling back with more negotiations.

I thought it was dumb not to allow Lokan and Kalugal to interact. Before, Turner plans and ideas always seemed pretty well thought out but lately they’ve left a lot to be desired. I think it was dumb to not tell Kalugal about fated mates when speaking about Areana and Navuh. Kian could have also dangled that as a bargaining chip to Kalugal because his clan has many immortal females. Kalugal is not a Doomer and neither are his men. Who wouldn’t want the prospect of possibly having an immortal woman and a chance at a family? How could he deny his men a chance at that. It would have given him something to think about.

I’m sad for Vlad, but I know it’s going to work out. I hope Vanessa can get through to Wendy. I can’t wait t see what happens with the Director. I wonder if Roni was able to delete the message.

Anyway, see my notes and highlights on Goodreads. Happy reading!

Another great conclusion to a fated pair.
So much intensity going on. Kian and Kalugal negotiating and trying to outsmart each other.
They would make great allies.
Upsetting that Wendy chose to be a mole and betray the clan than to try and make new friends and see how things work out. She used Vlad and that was heartbreaking. Vlad deserves so much more.
Jin in the gazebo must have been a crazy experience for Kalugal. Kalugal did care for her and kept Kian in the loop. Julian was able to have a conversation with Kalugal that opened Kalugal's eyes to possibilities.
Arwel and Jin reuniting was the best ending. I look forward to her transition and if she will be like Mey with fangs.
Jacki is a tough cookie and Kalugal has his work cut out for him. Can't wait to see what progresses between these two.
Overall, another great hit in this series.

Dark Spy’s Resolution (The Children of the Gods Paranormal Romance Series Book 37)
I.T. Lucas

Waited on pins and needles for this book to conclude Jin and Arwel’s story which was somewhat finished although she still hasn’t transitioned. There was so much more excitement with a mole being revealed and one of the Jacki (one of the refugees) being left behind at Kalugal’s “fortress”.
Kalugal’s addition to the story brings new levels and possibilities to this amazing world. I’d love to find out what his first conversation with his mother was and what may develop between him and Jacki.
So much intrigue, excitement , intersecting plot and storylines and amazing characters in addition to some very sensual romance.
Now the torturous wait for Book 38!

Arwel & Jin,

Dark Spy’s Resolution was so much fun to read, I came to the end way too quickly. I find myself saying this a lot with this series. Loved the back and forth of whether or not Jin was transitioning. The scene in the gazebo was hilarious!! Loved reading the negotiations between Kian and Kalulgo - sorry can’t remember how to spell his name- oops!! Love their quick minds. I feel for Vlad however, I have a good feeling everything will work out. I can’t wait for the next book! Jacki and Kalulgo’s story is going to be so much fun! I have a feeling I’ll be giggling a lot.

Dark Spy Resolution KU 304 pgs ****.* 8/2/21 Arwel & Jin

4.5 stars! The -0.5 is for some filler pages that I skimmed over. This book was exciting and everything turned out much better than I anticipated. I loved Kalugal, he is very mysterious and very interesting. He wasn’t an ogre like I thought he would be. The negotiations over Jin, Arwel and Jacki got a little monotonous but all and all, I really enjoyed this book and I very much look forward to Kalugal’s story. I hope that one is next. I am looking forward to the 2 brothers meeting and hopefully bonding as well as Kalugal getting to know his mother and his aunt

I love every book by I T Lucas. This is no exception. Book 37 I enjoyed , and I am glad to see Kalugal has a heart and is not like his father. Looking forward to hearing his conversation with his mother and Lokan. The only problem I have is the books are not long enough. I would be happy with one the size of War and Peace lol. Wendy was a big disappointment. Anxious to see what they do with her betrayal. Another winner by I T Lucas. Once you start you can't put them down.

SO good!

I am completely amazed at how this series gets even better with every book. Every new story is like watching an incredible suspense movie. I’m astounded at how the author continues to come up with such unique story lines that not only keep you interested but make you anxious for every new release in the series. I hope it goes on for years! Looking forward (as always) to the next book in the series.

I was so excited to get back to this series. I totally devoured this book because I could read fast enough to see how Lucas was going to bring Kulugal and Jacki story to life. It so well developed how she does it. And I like that Wendy's secret is out in the open too. Poor Vlad; but that's a story waiting to happen too. I'm glad I took a detour to read other books because now I get to tear through three books in a row before I'm cut off again. :(

This is a paranormal romance and is thirty-seventh in the Children of the God series and the finale of the Dark Spy trilogy. Arwel and Carol are captured by Kalugal when Jin tethers him. She is whisked to the Sanctuary to be protected by Annani. Kian was right there was a mole--I feel sorry for the target at the moment. Maybe there will be a redemption, so the target will get a happy ending. Kudos to Ms. Lucas.

This ended rather tame in spite of all the drama about one of their own being taken. I felt it would have been nice to see Jin transition but I guess they are saving that for another time I hope.

I do like the start of Jacki's romance and think I see where that is heading plus I like a couple of the new characters introduced it would be nice to see them paired up with clan members.

I hope Wendy and Vlad can get past their setback as they had the makings of a really sweet couple.

This author keeps delivering

I don't know how Lucas does it! She's been able to consistently deliver new and intriguing characters and still weave my favorites into new storylines. This book continues to bring the same intrigue. I can feel all of these characters barreling forward towards a fun fight between the doomers and the Goddess clan. Can't wait for Jackies story

Arwel and Jin

I do hope we get more insight to Arwel and Jins story, as it seems there should be more. This book moved pretty quickly as a lot was going on from a few different fronts. A mole was discovered, we got to discover more about the elusive Kalugal, and the captive situation will have you anticipating the next move to be made.

I like the story line in this series. This is a series that you won't put down. Each new sequel released makes you stop what you're doing just so you can get on it. This entire series of Children of the Gods is by far best series ever. If you are a fan of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series then you will love this one.

Loving the plots!

I'm so loving the plot twists so much that it's getting hard to stop reading in between books to drop reviews! I'm almost caught up though. If you haven't started this series yet you are definitely missing out!
Can't wait to read more about Kalugal and Jacki and pretty much everyone.

So much information

This book really was full of information about the immortals. It was nice to have it stated. You just know that several big things are going to happen next. It’s going to take Kian, Lokan, and K to get through when the government reaches out from their paranormal program. Read On!

frustrating

So many frustrating things happened in this book. The clan is getting so lax and making poor decisions. As a reader I am spending so much time wanting to warn the characters but alas….it is what it is. Also this book dragged on a little too long for me. I think that the whole story literally took place in the span of a day or two. Onwards to the next book

Another good addition to the series. I can't believe that I just read book # 37 and can't wait to read #38. This series could go on indefinitely as long as I.T. Lucas leaves us wanting the next book without getting frustrated . If you are new to the series most are in audible. A great series in any form

Review

I just started at the beginning and read all 37 books in two weeks. I’m so hooked on this series. What I really like is the secondary story about Wendy and Vlad. I’ve been wondering who would be Kat
Kalugal’S mate. That will be great reading

Excellent

I loved this one. I've had a soft spot for Arwel for quite awhile. You will not be disappointed reading this. I do wish there was a way for Ananni to have her HEA by the klan some how finding Khiann. This is one of the best series I've ever read.

Surely, I’m not the only immersed reader who thought Wendy was a problem. The only surprise is her uncle being Director of the Gov’t program. Instead of exiting Wendy, Kian brings her back to the area of the Clan to figure out what to do w/her. Wth?
At this juncture in the series, Kian has got to be dethroned. He has become more emotional than logical. He is less prepared to do the ultimate to protect the Clan. Hell, Turner, Lokan & Kaluga would be better leaders & protectors of the Clan. justmyopinion:)) OK, the real estate is that i.t.Lucas is brilliant. He gets a reader caught up into feeling immortal (LoL).

Arwel

The storyline continues secrets all around it's no wonder there is not a lot of trust.I thought it was odd that the doctor just stayed with the man who can tell you to do anything.
