This was a short, but beautifully presented book, and I received this as a gift quite recently. I found this to be interesting, and a change from the norm. It contains all of the spells and charms used by the characters in the Harry Potter films, with many lovely photographs to support these. There isn't too much writing in here, but just enough to know which part of the films is being discussed.

This is a great little scrapbook filled with some awesome extra treasures like the patronus cards. The lift the flap pages are super cute and I love the stickers at the back. Its the perfect addition to any Harry Potter collection.

This stunning book is such a beautiful addition to my shelf! With raised gold lettering on the hardcover and a whole bunch of little surprises inside, Spells & Charms was much more than I was expecting.
I loved the lift the flaps, mini insert books, stickers and especially the patronus cards - they were stunning and I'll be using them in bookstagram photos for years!
As well as information about the different spells and where they were used in each movie, there were so many snippets of information on how they were made to work, whether by digital manipulation or general stunt work. It really made me appreciate just how much work went into each part of the movies (four hours every day to transform an actor into a goblin!).
I'd highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to add something special to their Harry Potter collection!

Spells and Charms was a short and easy read, that was enjoyable enough for what it was. It did not provide a huge amount of new information, but it would probably still be an interesting read for fans of the film series.

Ich bin ein riesen Fan der Zusatzbücher von Panini und auch "Die Zaubersprüche" haben mich wieder vollkommen überzeugt!
Zwar sind in dieser Ausgabe die Goodies etwas rar aber die Patronuskarten machen das wieder gut.

A small, short book with consice information of the spells and hexes with their respective incantations used in the wizarding world of Harry Potter. The author have not included all the spells and chosen to write about major, useful and frequently used ones only, which make this more of a light read than a true catalog of spells and charms.

This book was good but I would have liked more facts as sometimes I thought the sections were a bit too short. However I do think this would be great for a younger fan who is interested in learning how the movies were made as the layout of this book is very well suited to someone with a shorter attention span.

I love everything that has to do with my favourite world ever and this book was no exception. The only reason why I am giving it 3 stars is because it did not bring any new information to me, but I still adored to go back into the Harry Potter magic.

Why did we have to do the first movie Flitwick for the cover? Just, no. As for the book, they left out some spells I felt and just did a quick little blurb on the ones they felt were important. Nothing really new.
