So Deep in My Feelings: A Hood Love Tale
18- year old Cioni CiCi Lee was just your ordinary around the way girl. With a young mother for an example, Cioni was easily influenced by the neighborhood and things going on around her. Products of their environments, each girl is forced to figure their way through life, not every choice a good one. Even with their circumstances, Ali, Madden, and Cioni all have a bond was always unbreakable, and nothing could and would ever come between them. Not even boys...well...There was one boy... one who is now a man and the man in the streets-Knowledge. Cioni had always had her eyes on him, but Madden was always the bold one and had eventually scored him first. Cioni was always the one that was overlooked due to her shy girl ways and not knowing her beauty and worth. She was always in last place, but what she doesn't know was that she was actually the hood's gem.Knowledge "Ledge" Armstrong; at an early age always knew that he was a king. With his brother Wisdom Wiz" Armstrong and cousin Major Armstrong by his side, the heroin game was readily theirs for the taking. With a knack for hustling and swagger out of this world, Ledge manages to move him and his family out of the hood, eventually bringing his girlfriend Madden along all off the strength of his hustle. Life is sweet, and then life has its problems especially when money is involved. Soon, Ledge quickly realizes that the girl he picked out the crowd was the wrong one and now has his eyes set on Cioni. With Cioni refusing to break the girl code, Ledge stops at nothing to have her. It doesn't take long before he has her so deep in her feelings, and unable to escape them. With the two of them having love, and optimism nothing could come between them, right? But when reality of their consequences are brought to the light, will it be enough to break them apart?Ali Morris was dealt a bad hand like a lot of kids around the way. Her mother a junkie, and her father absent, Ali only knew to get it by any means necessary. Her by any means necessary lands her in a predicament that ultimately has her back against the wall. Forced to make a decision to choose her life or HIS, she definitely chooses hers. Choosing her life sent her spiraling out of control with only one thing that could save her...love. Love from Wisdom comes at just right the time, but will it be enough to keep her from going down a path of destruction.

When I first started reading this book, I'm thinking to myself.Yes I like Cici, she is a good big sister and she just wants to make sure her siblings are straight.Because her mother is , I don't know a hood chick and then her so-called boyfriend Self is a jackboy , then I was thinking, okay.She has a hard life ok next is Madden, fake ass friend.Ali i was feeling sorry for you until you started doing crazy stuff Ledge couldn't stand him okay so everybody was a dummy accept for the baby boy the recently.I can stand them.They kept doing the dumbest stuff i've ever seen in my life and now I need to read part 2 so I went and got it. I hope these folks grew up in part 2. 5 stars

Bam Bam Myss Shan
First and foremost I just want to say have never read just a book this author give it to you raw and uncut in this particular series I am just a little pissed at the actions of these characters my chocolate chip as you know my dark skinned sister has it DiLuca fuse but that's because she's picking the man to love her when she finally she should be loving herself .... Madden is a twisted sista uncouth and that's where my concern lies because she has nothing going for herself she & Self could take a long walk off a very short pier I could not stand him his own behavior is the reason why their relationship didn't work so I'm glad that he took the highroad and left her to lie :-) I never thought baby Bruh Lucky would catch it like that but take Azz Enz I got to figure out something for him because she and he cant just get away with it with a day I want him in pieces in the bottom of the sea I couldn't even get in on my boy I'm going to wait on door 2 to to weigh in on him because he have a serious hand and gun problems anger issues first of all we all know is hard to admit when you in love before the good love is just too rough in uncouth I love his character what I think I will go toe to toe for him any day we ain't got no home Draden of course Michanne bring it to me Whitneyway and that's just the way I love it you can't get down on the queen as she's definitely a queen with the pit out freaking standing

Girllll this book was 🔥 as ever it was very interesting from the very first page up until the last! I can’t believe how some of the events played out however it was a great read i can’t wait to read book 2 I’m def recommending this to everyone i know lol

I was about 20 pages in when I read "For a dark-skinned girl, she was pretty". What???
Was this written in 1952 or something? I didn't care to finish it if this is the kind of ignorant, colorist nonsense that's in the beginning.

WOW".. MS. Shan, You got me very deep in MY feelings...got me saying WHOA!
So this is my second series reading of MS. Shan and so far so good. I loved this first book and the characters gong on. Hopefully the finale will be perfect...
Cioni wow what a girl. Loved how it started with her being down and all, then when she decides what she decides it's a wrap and all. Strong, and yet stubborn which kind of make her make wrong decisions but does come back full circle. She is described as a regular girl from around the way and as regular or girl next door as possible.
Knowledge, well, I like him. He is extremely rough around the edges, a little bit childish or insecure but hey, a man what not but sweet at the same and just thug. He was not portrayed as these too soft man and strong yet perfect for being a hood thug, kingpin and alpha. Definitely bae..
Ali, Ali, Ali, was rooting for you, still rooting for you but let's see how MS. Shan spins you in the next phase, but I am starting not to fell you anymore. How could you turn after all that you went through with your mom? Why?
Whiz, man hang in there... You are definitely the sweetest and all of all of them and I do hope and pray that you stay up for her and do not fold, then again 1) I know you are a man and 2) MS. Shan must twist it up so man, I truly hope I like you still.

Jesus Christ author Shan wow! I'm your new reader Dee Dee. It's a must I check out more books of yours. You are a damn good writer!! This book got so much going on I don't know where to start. All I do know is some of these characters have pissed me off and hopefully in book 2 you killed them off! Madden, Enzri CiCi's mama need to get what's coming to them. How do you betray your own daughter for a broad who was never for her from jump 🤔 Porshala need to catch some hands for real 🤦♀ I'm glad Self was killed. I didn't too much care for him either but let me get to book 2 so I can watch this scene unfold!

This is that gritty hood love ❤️ for sure. With all the urban fiction and urban romance around it’s easy to forget what a true hood tale is like. CiCi, Ali, and Madden individually couldn’t catch a break as they tried to climb out the gutta. Knowledge, Wiz, and Major were deep in the streets dodging bullets while making babies. Falling in Love was just as painful or deadly as catching a bullet. I wonder what was on the usb thumb drive. Will Ledge and CiCi make it or are they done before they begin.

When I picked this story up after reading the synopsis, what I expected was a story of three young women struggling to make it in this world. Well what I got was a whole lot of crazy drama. The writer paints us a picture of three young women trying too not only survive but to better there circumstances. What we get are some very mixed up people with a lot of drama that follows. There are moments that the writer gives you a realistic look into the struggle. The was good writing and entertaining,.but there is just a tab bit too much.

This was my first time reading a book by this author. It was a cool read and flowed pretty well. Some of these characters have a problem with their hands though. I was really put off by that. Knowledge was the main one, along with Cioni. I can’t say I’m team Ledge & CiCi. There was way too much drama going on between those two. Nevertheless, the cliffhanger makes me want to check out part 2.

The drama! This book was packed with sooo much drama and suspense. Ci, knowledge, wisdom, Ali, enzi, Madden... all of them had me on my toes! It’s crazy how the three girls started off as bestfriends and later became enemies. So many issues occurred and they handled it the best way possible; the Hood way! And with the way this ended, I know part 2 is going to blow me away!!

Some of your so called friends can be gritty and grimy as poor Cionni has found out. The best guy the best job the best family always seems to be handed to the pretty light skinned, well not in this book. The author portrays a real life scene where the good bad and ugly comes in every shade, size and geographical area as well as family. This book was a thrill ride but the ending has me questioning what I thought I knew. Good read

Shan has done it again with another good book. Ali and CiCi had it the hardest in the book but I'm glad they found someone who really loved them. Knowledge and Wisdom are something else but wisdom is the most level headed brother. Something is really wrong with Camilla and Madden like why you running behind a man that doesn't want them. can't wait to read the next book

I can't believe how I lucked up with this one.... especially coming off a dope one. Knowledge is a crazy nigga just my type. Cici reminds me a little of my younger self with how she thinks. It's tough being young and in love. I'm sad at all she and her bestie also are going thru but I have good hopes for them in book 2 butch girls deserve to be happy.

This book keeps your attention from beginning to end. Boy i swear i wanted to kill Ledges ass. Doing that girl like that. That dude was C-R-A-Z-Y. And that lil trick Madden she is truly touched. How you gone get the girl beat up and then go stay with her mama though. And her trifling ass let you he’ll naw. And poor Lucky i would liked to see more of him in the book. Great work.

I’m so happy to have a complete page turner where the characters were fully developed. This book is an emotional roller coaster.... I laughed, cried, screamed and cursed a few people out, but I think u did an outstanding job. I fell in love with Knowledge & Wisdom and their interactions with different people. There’s nothing like that hood love from a thug😂😂😂😂

I won’t lie it was plenty of times I started to stop reading this book because I felt like darker women were basically being targeted. Something told me to keep going. I appreciate the note at the end so that I could truly understand. It might need to go in the beginning of the book, so readers could be aware because I started to write a review before I even finished the book. But on to the book, it was a good read and I can’t wait to read part 2.

In Too Deep
I was so deep in my feelings after reading this book! It was so good and true to life. The hatred, the love, the vengeance, the confused and bottled up feelings were all over this book. I just couldn't put it down. I loved and hated some of these characters all at once. I'm amazed that I'd never read a book by Shan until now. I'm truly missing out.

I know you have to have more characters but I just wasn’t feeling Ali and wiz story at all I forced myself to finish there chapters. I wanted ci and knowledge story I didn’t want there chapters to end . The chemistry and roller coaster these two 3went through together was everything can’t wait for part 2

Uhhh
Got to the end and kept scrolling like where the rest at!??? Part 2 where are youuuu. This was definitely a very good book. Some of it was predictable some not so much but either way it was easy and enjoyable to read. Had I know this wasn't completed yet I wouldn't have even started lol. I've been hooked to the author since Rozalyn. hopefully part 2 won't be too long away

This book 😲😲.. Could not close my mouth. This author is new to me but now that I know what I know .. GURLLL. This book kept me engaged and entertained and interested all in one! The author was very detailed and explicit throughout the entire book that I couldn't give it less than 5 stars!! GOOD JOB!!!!!
