Short But Sweet ❤️

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Omgoodness way too short of a story for my liking. I absolutely loved the characters and storyline. Lacey and Koy were a great couple. Cole finally approved of them being together. On to the next short story. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊😊

Lacey is back home after being away from home for 6 years she’s going to a bar to meet her brother Cole but she thought that she would get there a bit earlier but she wishes that she didn’t go there at all because a guy named Leighton sat next to her then he started putting his hand on her thigh then he went higher. Lacey told him no but he just laughed her off until he heard this commanding voice a voice that Lacey knows so well it’s her childhood crush Koy. Koy is the alpha dragon of his pack he wanted to see if it was true about Lacey being back so when he walks into the bar he knows that it’s Lacey sitting there and she’s not that little girl anymore she’s all woman, Koy wants her his Beast is telling him to claim her but he can’t because as alpha of his pack he has to look out for the hunters plus he doesn’t want to put Lacey in any danger or go against his best friend Cole so Lacey is a no no. That’s all I’m going to give you guys but this is just the beginning of a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

This author definitely had written way better books than this!

I hate! Hate books written in first person. And this one is the worst written one. "I say" "he say" "I did that" "I did this"
.....
I, I, I, I, I !!! It sound so bad.

And the fighting scene are probably the worst I have ever read.
Red dragon did that, the green dragon did this..

True romance

I enjoy love stories and shifters. This book contains both. It's a classic love story if it had shifters and bloody battles. I like even after 6 years apart their feelings remained. I guess true love never dies.

Lacey Silvers is waiting in a bar for her brother, Cole, after she has returned from 6 years away at college and work in the city. Unfortunately, a guy sits down next to her, introduces himself as Leighton, and makes a pest of himself, asking all sorts of questions. When he puts his hand on her leg and begins to move it to her thigh, she is panicking until a voice behind her tells him to take his hand off her. She would recognize that voice anywhere – her brother’s best friend, Koy Parker, the man she has crushed on since she was 16. At least now he was not looking at her like Cole’s little sister – he obviously was seeing the woman she had become! What she doesn’t know is that he won’t take her as his because it would bring her into danger. He is the alpha of his dragons and must keep them safe from the hunters. He doesn’t want her to be part of that danger. He was also told by Cole many years ago to stay away from his little sister, and he has tried to honor that request.

Now that Leighton -- a member of Koy’s pack and previously warned that Lacey is off-limits -- is making a move on her, Koy knows he will be challenging him for leadership of the dragons. Leighton is not leadership quality and could never keep them safe. He orders Leighton to leave, then he and Lacey wait for Cole. Cole is not happy to see them together and, when Lacey goes to the restroom, Cole tells him he must leave her alone. Cole knows what Koy is and the danger that brings to Lacey if his enemies use her to control him. When Koy abruptly leaves, Lacey knows Cole said something. The next day, she goes to see Koy and their attraction pulls them together. But his dragon looks out at her from his eyes and she is frightened and runs out. He knows Cole was right. He cannot keep her when she is so afraid of him. Is this really the end for them? Will she leave town permanently now?

This was a fast read, but a good story line. The characters are realistic and likable. Grab your copy and see if there is any hope for Lacey and Koy who have loved each other and still do.

Look before you jump.

I have not read anything of this Author's before, and was quite surprised at how similar this particular book is to so many other author's storylines.
That and this being a reasonably short story is the only reason I gave this book 3 stars.
Basically the scenes are well scripted with plenty of imagination. Giving the storyline that touch of drama, certainly spiced it up enough to keep you wanting to find out where and who was causing the problems.
Otherwise this book is a fairly basic paranormal romance, it doesn't really have anything that makes it stand out, though I would love to see how this author develops, finding her own style with content totally different to anyone else around.
For a paranormal romance, it's definitely an easy read, where you can relax and watch the story unfold.

Short. Nice! Lacey, gone for 6 years. Left for college, got a job, got fired, returned home. She's sitting in a bar to meet her older brother, Cole. Leighton is trying to chat her up, then he forcibly touches her. Koy, Cole's best friend, confronts Leighton. Lacey has been crushin on Koy since 16yo. Koy is a dragon, Alpha. Leighton is part of Koy's pack, knows who Lacey is. It tells Koy, Leighton is getting ready to challenge for Alpha. Once Cole shows up, he reminds Koy what's at stake if he links with Lacey, the danger to her and the vulnerability to Koy. Lacey goes to Koy's place and lets him know she likes him. They kissed, he fought the shift, she saw his eyes and ran. Can she accept Koy? Does she connect the dots? Will Cole accept a Lacey and Koy? Will Leighton make a personal or professional move? Nice story. Too short to do a character deep dive although Lacey and Koy seem like nice people. Leaves questions. I wish the story was longer or part of a series. Lacey returns home after being away for school and working in the city. She waits for her brother when a stranger starts coming on to her. Before she can say anything someone else tells him to remove his hand and Lacey is stunned to recognizes Koy her brother's best friend. The man Koy is warning off is a member of his pack and he knows trouble is brewing. Lacey has always wanted Koy but never thought he would see her as anything but his friend's sister. However now looking into his eyes she can see that has changed now. Will Koy challenge anyone for Lacey's heart?

This is an amazing story and will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This is a fairly fast read but the length doesn't detract in anyway I still connected with the characters and enjoyed the book immensely

Lacey had always loved her brothers best friend Koi, but he always thought of her as a little sister after all his best friend had warned him away from her. When she went away to college she thought that the crush would end now six years later she has returned and realised she actually loves him just as much. Koi has tried to stay away after all he is hiding a secret but the draw of Lacey is too much. When they give in to her attraction to one another it puts Lacey in danger and Koi will have to show his dragon half to keep her safe Will she handle his secret will her brother stand in their way Will they get a HEA You will have to read to see

Lacey returns to her home town after being made redundant as if something was pulling her back.
Lacey left home to go to college then got a job in the city but after being made redundant she has returned home to the place that seems to call her back to it. While waiting for her brother Cole she is bothered by Leighton who puts his hand on her knee and moves it up despite her protests then just as she know action is needed a voice tells him to stop. Turning she sees Koy her brother's best friend and the man sh has had a crush on since she was sixteen.

A nice quick paranormal romance read

Lacey, a human, returns to her hometown and runs into Koy, her brother’s best friend and a dragon, at the local bar. As the story progresses an emotional tug of war ensues, danger strikes, and accepting fantasy as reality is the way forward to a happy ever after. Alexis Davie’s Returning to the Dragon is a nice quick paranormal romance read with just enough danger and drama to keep the reader entertained.

Great addition to the Paranormal Romance genre!

The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story, I found myself in love with not only the characters but also the world that was created.

The descriptions of the characters and their feelings are so involved, you can truly picture it in your mind. Their attitudes toward the events that are happening makes the story even richer.
