They tried to escape. Ricky and one of the twins(the other was in coma because of an incident) ran into the forest but Francine stayed there because someone had to make sacrifice and help the others escape...
She died. I really liked her, though. She was brave and deserved to live. That wasn't fair...

Not quite consistent with the show (the tattoos are wrong, a different kid is identified as 6 later), but some of these are things that may be evolving (we do see 11 and 8 with hair when they're younger, they must start the head shaving later; maybe they replaced 6 with a new one, etc.). Very short but a nice little fluff story to scratch that itch if you're waiting for new episodes to drop.
Has to be read in conjunction with the three predecessors, but a chilling end to this mini-saga. Not sure it's a must-read for the Stranger Things fan, but a cute story.
Man, this felt really short. I'm glad it tied in some stuff from the show, with El being there and her mom showing up. I just wish there was a little more to this series ultimately, I guess. Still interesting and worth a read if you like the show, though!
