Escaping Earth is only step one.

Dr. Marina Spitzer, botanist extraordinaire, is on a mission to save humanity—which is faltering on the edge of extinction after the nuclear fallout of WWIII decimated half of the Earth.

If she can work with the small team of space explorers searching for a new home for the survivors, she’ll have helped ensure her nieces and nephews are able to have a future.

Geologist Dr. Leonardo Federici is no less ambitious, even if his chosen field makes Rina suspect he has rocks rolling through his head. Especially once he makes it clear that he’s attracted to her—physically, intellectually, and emotionally.

But the team only has three days on TaoRuti 3 to determine whether to recommend the planet for colonization. There’s no time for emotional distractions as planetary instabilities catch everyone off-guard, with fatal results.

If they can survive this mission, Rina might have a future with Leo, but first they have to weather a planet that’s fighting dirty.

A voracious reader since she was a toddler, and an ordained spiritualist, Tonya Cannariato has now presided over the marriage of her love of reading and her love of writing. She’s lived a nomadic life, following first her parents in their Foreign Service career through Africa, Europe, and Asia, and then her own nose criss-crossing America as she’s gotten old enough to make those choices for herself. She’s currently based in the Washington, DC area with her four loves: her husband and three Siberian Huskies. She suspects her Huskies of mystical alchemy with their joyous liberation of her muse and other magical beings for her inspiration. She loves to sleep, to watch her interesting dreams, some of which are now finding new life in written form.

The perfect blend of SciFi and Fantasy.

I particularly enjoyed the depth of backstory and character development. The details of humanities actions and their repercussions. So very easy to see and relate with. Seeing there is still Hope within us Beautiful.

After WW3 destroys the planet a team is sent out to space to find a planet that can sustain human life . Dr Marrina Spitzer is part of that team along with Dr. Leonardo Fedeici . They are sent to find a new world . Will Rina be able to work with Leon without her heart getting hurt and will they find a world that can save their families.

The characters are well written and complex. The main characters Rina and Leon are complext . Rina is a strong independant woman who is a well respected botanist who is willing to do almost anything to help her family . She is strongwilled and kind a sassy and a hard worker . I truly liked her character , she kicks some butt and puts the men in their place a few times . Leon is a smart man a very smart man . and girls the geek like scientist is really hot . He is attracted to Rina and does everything to get her into his arms . I liked him he was a good guy who didn't come off as a cad . They are strong characters but together they make a great team

When I sat down to read this book I didn't really know where the author was going to take me . I was pleasently surprised I was hooked from the second chapter . There are twists and turns that had me trying to figure out if they are going to survive . Will they find a planet to live . The characters are well written and you will cheer for them . This is a fast read that will have you on the edge of your seat most of time . There are some romantic times but over all we have a mission to find a new earth . This could be a good book for your summer reading list . Check it out

Earth has gone to heck in a hand basket after WW 3 and the human race is slowly dying and will soon become extinct if something isn't done soon. In 2125 , several scientists and experts in different fields were sent out into space to find any planets that could be a new earth. But being in close quarters, peoples attitudes and personalities clash , finding a planet that could be what they are looking for has people stressing over staying safe or learning more about the possible new home. But this isn't an ordinary planet, when loosing 2 members of the crew and strands the others on the planet. They must put aside their differences and work together to survive. I'm not going to say what else goes on as I don't want to spoil anything for the next readers. To me it's not your average story about saving those left behind and those doing the searching

After WW3, Earth is permanently destroyed and will soon no longer be a habitable planet for human life. Continents come together and create a team of the best scientists who will dispatch to find a new planet that can sustain human life.
After 3 years of living a rigorously structured ship life, there is finally hope when they arrive at their next planet, TauRati Three, and discover it's almost a perfect match to replace the lost planet Earth. However, traveling and exploring a new planet proves to have it's problems and challenges for the group of scientists.

This book, starting out was really slow. For the first 35% of the book it seemed to just trudge along and I had to kind of force myself to keep at it because it dragged. However, once the scientists started to run into the planetary problems it got more interesting and was one I couldn't put down.
