An inept witch. A talking pink iguana. A town trying to solve a lawman’s murder. Hi, I’m Glinda Goodall — the Good Witch of the South — and I want to welcome you to Witch’s Cove, Florida, a delightful beach town where witches and humans reside in peace and harmony. Sounds perfect, right?
Yeah, that’s what it says on the billboard, but here’s the real scoop. My aunt, who runs the Tiki Hut Grill where I work, sees ghosts — or rather sees one of them — namely her dead husband. My mom, a funeral director, is addicted to all things that have to do with The Wizard of Oz. She even has a terrier named Toto. And then there’s my familiar, Iggy, who is a very disgruntled pink iguana who fancies himself a detective.
As for me, I’m a problem solver. My flaws are that I’m way too nosy for my own good, and I rarely say the right thing at the right time. This week’s exciting news? Our not-so-beloved law enforcement officer was murdered, and my best friend’s brother was accused of the crime. I have to help find the real killer, right? How could I not? Stop in to Witch’s Cove and grab a meal at the Tiki Hut Grill. You just might see me and my familiar in action.
Not only do I love my hot paranormal fantasy romances starring yummy Alpha men, but I am now having so much fun writing my clean cozy mysteries set in Witch's Cove, Florida. The star of the show? Iggy, who is a 9-lb talking pink iguana.
I've been writing for twenty-one years and have a few other aliases. I hope you enjoy all my different series.

This is part of a 22 book series that can be found on Kindle unlimited. This has been a lot of fun reading. It's taking a while to read this but the pink iguana he's got a personality so much like a real cat it's not even funny. There's humor, there's a lot of intrigue & there's a lot of pointed fingers. Also much to let your mind wonder about. Happy reading!
There is so much I could say about this book. First I’d love to say that I loved this book and it provided hours of entertainment. Sadly only one of those statements is true. While I will admit that I was deeply engrossed in this book, I cannot, if I’m going to be completely honest with myself, say it was due to the characters. It was my OCD that kept me going. And maybe a little bit of curiosity as to who really murdered the horrid deputy Cliff.
Let’s start with the heroine. While I enjoyed the many references to the Wizard of Oz and found Ms. Day’s characters quirky and entertaining, she lost me at Glinda. Admittedly Glinda is a curiosity addict who cannot leave a mystery alone. However, she began looking into the deputy’s murder to exonerate her best friend’s brother. So why for the love of God, does she go to the medical examiner and the police and tell them that they are wrong and it was murder not natural causes that killed the deputy? Thereby repainting the bullseye right back on her best friend’s brother. She claims to have let the investigation go, however she only did so AFTER starting up the investigation again! If that don’t beat all, she then points the finger to her other best friend’s ex husband. I mean really? This woman has got to be the worse friend in history.
That being said, Iggy the iguana is awesome. He’s clever, he’s snarky, and he SPEAKS! I would have loved for there to have been more Jaxson in the story since he was after all the main suspect, but it is what it is.
I may not have liked the heroine at all, but found the story clever and entertaining. The fact that I did not have it completely figured out by the second chapter is a definite plus. I have read other books by this author and quite enjoyed them, so I’ll definitely give this series a second chance. We’ll see how that goes.

I think I just found my new favourite mystery series.
Glenda is a witch but her spellcasting is a bit dodgy, hence why her familiar Iggy the Iguana is pink, rather than green. I mean a freaking pink iguana, so cool!!
All the town's characters were so delightful or dastardly that I didn't mind who we were talking to next, they were all so entertaining.
The murderer was 50/50 shot for me, one of 2 obvious suspects but I didn't mind, this is a cozy mystery after all
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest It was a great book! It is a normal day for Glinda. Just her typical day of waiting tables at Tiki Hut Grill. That is until Deputy Cliff is found dead, Now Glinda has a mystery on her hands to solve. The characters + storytelling were very captivating It has all the ingredients that you need for an awesome book! I can't wait for the next book in the series!
Glinda Goodall is a witch working as a waitress in a charming town called Witches Cove located in Florida. She has a pink iguana familiar named Iggy. When a local police officer is murdered and Glinda’s friends ex husband is a main suspect, Glinda uses her magic and her novice investigator skills to help solve the murder. Our heroine is not the sharpest tack in the bunch, but she likes to help, even when she probably shouldn't. Hey, everyone else in her family is a bit loony, so she has an excuse.
This is a witchy cozy mystery set in sunny Florida, so when our heroine talks about being a Witch of the South, she means it. This one is a keeper. The story is well written, easy to read and just plain nutty fun. The cast of characters is diverse, well developed and just hilarious. I could not keep a straight face while reading this one, so be careful of spontaneous giggling. Overall, a very engaging and fun read and I look forward to more in this series.
Highly recommended.

This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. A fun cast of characters in an entertaining storyline. A young woman who lives in a small town called witches Cove in Florida. In this town there are witches and there are humans that live alongside each other. The main character is a witch that works in her aunts And has an iguana familiar. Her best friend Drake owns a wine and cheese shop and she works with the other best friend Penny in the restaurant. She has an ability magic of telling how people died. At least that’s the magic we see so far. Other witches in the community have different powers as well. Read on and follow the new adventures in this series. It is very entertaining a bit quirky but fun. Check it out
This was a slow start and it took me a while to get into it. Glinda is a waitress and at first we hear how her best friend Drake's brother had wrongfully been accused of a robbery and done three years in jail. Glinda got involved when the Sheriff's son was killed to make sure the brother doesn't get accused again.
I liked Glinda as a main character. I also really loved her pink iguana who is her familiar and has severe attitude. The story line was okay but the book did tend to drag in places. I do like the potential love interest but the best female friend is kind of blah.
I will read the next one in the series and see what happens next. A decent cozy mystery.
Glinda is not only in costume as Glinda the Good Witch at her Aunt’s restaurant, she has a talent for determining cause of death.
A costume themed restaurant , a family funeral home with ghost talking mom the mortician, a busy gossip network and a family of witches - great for tangled mysteries with a bit of the paranormal.
I just signed up to hear more about the next books in the wild and wacky cozy series- more fun ahead!

When a young man suddenly drops dead, Glinda finds her best friend’s brother is being accused of the murder. She decides to try and figure out who actually did the deed, with the help of her pink iguana familiar, and the gossipy help of friends and family.
First in this series, we meet the witch and her familiar, as well as her rather unusual family. It’s a fast pace tale, with some interesting characters and an enjoyable plot. This is for those who enjoy magical murder mysteries, with a side of sweet tea!
I was able to dive right into this book and fell in love with it right away. A bit of magic, some ghostly contact, a witchy lie detector, all makes for great fun! And a pink iguana named Iggy, with the snarkiest attitude ever, just adds to the story. The murder mystery was great, plus we got to see an old crime solved and an injustice corrected. Getting ready to start the second book now!

A cute story. The characters are likable, the story is well-written, and the plot is engaging. I liked that the new deputy was competent and above-board. It was a nice touch that people didn't have to hide their abilities. Iggy was an interesting character but I would have liked to see him in action. Glinda's obsession with pink clothing got to be a bit tedious. Overall. I really enjoyed the book and am looking forward to reading more in the series. I read the book through KU.
This is a cute read of epic proportions. I love the name of the main character, yes her mom really loves The Wizard of Oz, of course Izzy the iguana. I used to have one and yeah they have quite the personality, even though mine didn't speak and was green. This was a cute cozy that I would definitely recommend. I didn't even solve the mystery til the very end.😊
This book was superficial clean Cozy. I did read another book in this series that was able to keep my attention. I was determined to finish, and I did, but I don't remember a book that I kept closing up due to boredom, like this one. Her pink familiar is cute, but the fact he talks about so much personal stuff to her Aunt. Disgusted me as much as a nobody wanting their fifteen minutes of fame by sharing pictures of horrific mass murders. No more.
Something about this book kept me from fully loving it. I just kept forgetting that I was reading it, and it took me 2 weeks to finish. I read a lot of cozies set in quirky little towns, but this one just wasn't one of my favorites. It may be because I didn't understand Glinda's motivations or actions, or that none of the characters really grew on me. Or it may just be that I am in a reading mood.
Glinda is a witch living 8n a small town in Florida. A town filled with other witches. They are in the open, but not everyone believes. Her best friend's brother had been imprisoned for 3 years for a crime he says he didn't commit. Now he's returned, but is it for revenge? Especially when the deputy (and son of the sheriff) is killed. He is arrested, but Glinda and her friends don't think he did it. Can she find the real killer?
I really enjoyed this for the most part, however I soon got very sick of pink. It’s your girl Glinda’s favourite colour, and she even managed to transform her familiar into this colour palette as a child. I’m not a pink gal myself, so this was almost girly vibe overload. Yet, I did enjoy the characters and the mystery, so 🤷🏻♀️
Have already continued on with the series, so I guess the pink thing doesn’t matter all that much in the grand scheme of things.
a book by Vella, before I read Pink is the new black. It may have been my first, but it won't be my last! I thoroughly the entire book and all the characters. I'm anxious to read the next book, so I can get to know everyone better. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a mystery and a few laughs. Thank you Vella for having your books in kindle unlimited!!
This was a really fun book to read. What happens when a witch, who only wears pink, is determined to exonerate her best friend's brother of murder with the help.of her familiar Iggy the lizard. Suspects and rumors are plenty, but she will do what she can to figure out who did it. Loved it.
Light easy read. Cute characters with interesting small town relationships. Interesting familiar in an iguana and pink at that. Although iguanas do not seem welcome in Florida as they are not native. Clearly the beginning of a series but at least one the resolves the main mystery
It's a quick, easy read. I was hoping for more magic but since it's the first book I assume the author is only getting started. Hopefully the following books in her series will delve more into charms and spells. Take this book with you to the beach or on a plane and you will be delightfully entertained.
A witchy good whodunnit - A prominent figure in the community is dead. Suspects are plentiful, from an ex-con to a battered mother and her beau to a rejected job applicant. Glinda and her friends, including her pink iguana familiar, race against the clock to discover the truth and bring justice to the town. A great story overall with awesome characters but the AI narrator was eh.
Glenda is a witch and has a pink diamond necklace that can help her determine how someone died. She wants to find out who killed Cliff to help Drake. Good read interesting characters.
Nice clean read with some magic, a town gossip mill and quirky characters. This is book 1 so I am not familiar with the characters yet The main character is smart and likeable. Hints of a future romance. I will continue to the next book.
OMG I just love Iggy, what an attitude, I love it! Vella Day hit a homerun with this new series.
Lots of mystery and laughs, great who done it. With so many people not liking the local, A-Hole, it's really hard to solve the mystery of who killed Cliff. And in steps Glinda the Good Witch of the South, she just can't help herself...She has to go and try to solve the mystery of who offed Cliff.
You wanna know who it was and there are plenty? Read this quirky story to find out and I guarantee it will have you ROFLYAO!
Good, quick read. The only problem I had was that the author left one of the characters out of the middle of the book. You never know what happened to him or where he was until the end of the book. A few sentences would have solved that issue.
This is the PERFECT cozy witchy vibes series to listen to on Audible while at work. The Wizard Of Oz nods, the beach town in Florida environment, the mystery element that won’t leave you scared to be home alone. I’m so excited to keep going with Glinda and her pink Igunana Iggy 💛
This book has such great reviews and I wanted to love it. But unfortunately I didn’t. I felt it was very slow moving, it started with one mystery that Glenda was trying to solve to another. The first mystery was resolved at the end but I didn’t care for how it played out.

Pink is the signature color for Glinda the good witch who has a nose for mystery and the inability to let things go. This is a cozy murder mystery with comic relief from a talking iguana!
