Hayden McHale is perfectly fine with her life. Her junior year is underway and all she wants to do is make it through with her two best friends in tow and a careful eye on her freshman brother. She lives a simple life working at the college library, takes no chances, and wants to graduate to make her parents in heaven proud. When she walks into her Drama Writing 101 class, she meets the ridiculously handsome Gannon O’Brian, and suddenly she realizes one thing she’s always been missing: someone to love. But of course, Gannon has a long-time girlfriend. It’s just her luck that the perfect guy for her can only see her as every other guy ever has, just a friend.
Follow the plan or follow his heart?
Gannon O’Brian has loved his long-time girlfriend Kami for as long as he can remember. Childhood friends, their parents had been friends since college and it all just made sense to him that they should be together. But lately he’s been feeling like their lives are going in two different directions, that maybe he’s a different person. And that’s what he’s thinking the moment he lays eyes on Hayden McHale. He’s never once seen her before even though they’ve shared a major but now that he has, he can’t not know her. As their friendship becomes stronger, Gannon starts to wonder if the direction his life is taking is pointing straight to her.
The right thing to do? They have no clue. The only thing they do know? Things will never be the same....
I love this story. It has a great back story, well developed characters, conflict, and an ending you want. This leaves you smiling, feeling good, and wanting Taco Salads. Can't wait to read Mixing it Up! Love Keyanna's stories.
This was everything that you want in a sweet romance,it was good clean fun and it was refreshing to get this in an young adult romance.I look forward to reading more from this writer.
Everything Has Changed is a sweet YA friends to lovers romance. It was a quick read that I managed to read in a couple of hours. It was told in third person so I struggled a little but that's only because I am a huge fan of stories told in first person. Besides that, it was a really cute story. Hayden is a junior in college and she meets Gannon in her Drama writing class. From the first moment she see's him, she is drawn to him. When she finds out he has a girlfriend, she is disappointed but they form a really beautiful friendship. Little do they know, they both start having feelings for one another. Poor Gannon gets stuck in a situation where he has to choose between Hayden, his new college best friend and his high school sweetheart/child hood best friend girlfriend. A really easy read with a little drama that isn't over the top. There is no cheating per-say. A nice friends to lovers story.
This was a cute and charming friend to lovers which ya'll know I'm a sucker for. Hayden was so a relatable character to me, who was currently just focused on her studies. When she steps into her college writing class and realizes Gannon is in her class and she doesn't know how to react. She finds out as they become friends that Gannon has a girlfriend. So she can only allow herself to be just friends with her because her friendship with him is more important to her; though there was I felt emotional cheating that I wasn't a fan of, but other than that. I loved Hayden and Gannon's dynamic. I felt like I was reading about a part of my life I just dealt with, and I felt like I was getting called out in the best possible way.
Adorably short and cute. I wasn't sure if I would like this book since I don't like love triangles or "cheating". However this book wasn't like either of those. Gannon and his girlfriend never had the kind of love he felt for Hayden and their "love" relationship had run it's course. Hayden and Gannon were adorable. This was a cute YA with little drama but plenty of emotions. If you're looking for something to help you relax between high drama books this is a good choice. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*
I liked this short read. This YA romance was an intriguing blend of sweet, cute and emotional with a bit of drama added in for flavor. I found the plot of this book quite intriguing but I'm not going to lie. I think Hayden and Gannon's romance would have been better served in a longer format. Sure it was good but with added depth and more details added I feel this had the potential to be a great book. Still as is it was enjoyable and it's a great choice if you are looking for a lighter read. I am electing to post a truthful review.
Hayden is a college junior and when she meets Gannon in drama writing class the attraction between them is instant. Gannon has a high school girlfriend but who will he chooses when matters come to a head? This is a sweet story which is an emotional friends / lovers’ story. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
A short and sweet story about friends in college who grow into much more. A little too predictable for me and not enough of the back story about Gannon and his girlfriend, the breakup was just a little too easy.
It was sweet, a bit of drama, and emotional story. It was a little predictable, and in some spots it felt rushed. I wished that we got more development of Gannon and Hayden characteristic. They started out as classmates, to friends, to finding love. I thought Everything Has Changed, was okay read.
