Fifty years after Calvin Coolidge’s death, Leonard Hemmings, the late president’s greatest fan and impersonator, has been murdered. A somewhat restless adulthood has led to several homes over the years from Albuquerque to Berlin, although he has mostly alternated between Massachusetts and Minnesota. He has worked a variety of office jobs but has also acted in plays and performed improvisational comedy. He enjoys spicy food and currently lives in Minneapolis with his wife and their miniature dachshund.

I received "Silenced Cal" by Geoffrey Feller as a Goodreads First read giveaway.
Silenced Cal is a great book about a Calvin Coolidge impersonator, Leonard Hemmings, who is the spokesperson for Calvin Cheese Company and ends up murdered. Detective Natalie Dvorak is assigned this case and has to deal with her abusive ex-husband who is head of security for Calvin Cheese.
The story has a great plot and memorable characters. It was fun and easy to read and once I got started could not put it down. My only problem was I was left wanting more....I wanted to know more of the understory. I felt like there should have been more details to the story. Otherwise awesome book and I will definitely be reading the res of the series.
