All libraries are magical. Some libraries are more magical than others.
For Alex Reed, the world is an awkward place and books are her only escape. But when she is selected by a mysterious library to be its new Keeper she discovers that some books are not for the faint-hearted.
Now Alex must balance her new adventures through the pages with the incomparable obstacles of being an anxiety-riddled teenager. All this might be completely doable, if only Hank would do as he was told.
Book Two: Call of Kuyr
The multiverse is changing... What would you do if worlds depended on you?
Sometimes you see a book, hear it call, pick it up, open it up, and read. Sometimes there is menace inside.
Alex, Lilly, and Hank are back and are journeying once more into the worlds within the pages. But when the gods walk the earth, and reality is on a knife's edge, what can one human do to stop a world from tearing apart?
Now Alex must summon all the power she can muster or it won't just mean the end for her, it could mean the end of everything...
Book Three: The Spaces Between.

Alex, Lilly, and Hank return for another adventure into the pages. But when stories collide and the darkness grows cunning what can one person do to end the march of a faceless enemy?
Step once more into the greatest library that ever there was and help restore balance back to the multiverse.
I wanted to like this series, but the poor editing was hard to slog through. I did, hoping it would get better as the series continued, but although I liked the characters and the novel approach, it just fell short of satisfying.
I chose this book because I enjoy this type of literature, but I was fairly disapointed with the end result. The story is not really too original, having been used by several authors, but it was told in an interesting o enough way , and, being housebound at present, held my interest to the end of the book. I would probably Obtain any follow on volumes as the last section was better than the first, so there is a reasonable assumption of better to follow
A extremely shy girl. Unsure about her life is throne in to an another reality through reading. She becomes less shy and stronger with the turn of events given to her when reading some of the amazing stories in the mystical library. I like this book. This book is for much younger readers than myself but the characters and story lines are very good.
I might have given one more star were it not for the terrible spelling, grammar and punctuation. The storyline was reasonable but Mr. Gilbert often put the wrong characters in some situations. He seems not to know the difference between "passed" and "past". I also disliked the use of bad language supposedly from the lips of a 15 years old girl. I suggest the author attends English classes before he attempts to write another novel.
I really loved the continuing story through these 3 books and can't wait to read the next 3... There were a lot of misspelled and misused words that were very distracting but I love the characters and the varied locations throughout the stories... Had me laughing out loud in spots and on the edge of my seat in others... Great fun series so far... clean read and I would recommend to all who love fantasy stories... 5 Stars from me 😄
The first three books are fairly interesting but they need someone to go back and proofread the actual sentences. There are words in the wrong order, missing completely, or even repeated unnecessarily that got rather annoying. Usually it was all the small connector words -- in, and, to, -- that seemed to have problems.
This was ok, the first book took some time to get going, it took until a fairy escaping into our world to be worth reading. However, despite that the editing was not well done and I kept having mental pauses to deal with that. By the end the story wasn't bad, but I'm not prepared to buy the rest so it's been deleted from my Kindle.
It's a pretty good story basically, but obviously derived from a number of different stories. And there are a LOT of typos. Typos are like walking along and suddenly tripping over something--annoying and distracting. I might or might not read more in the series.
I enjoyed reading all three of these books. I would love to have my own secret library where I could be sucked into a book and experience the adventure for myself. I feel like that most of the time when I read anyway.
I might not have finished this book, if it weren't that I was reading it to my son. He really enjoyed it, though, and I came to appreciate the characters and their world(s) and adventures, however haphazard.
I enjoyed the idea of this story and the imaginative way the story twisted. But found the writing style was sometimes annoying with badly put together sentences and paragraphs.
I was so eager for this series, but my hopes fell flat. I was confused and fighting to keep up with little information and a great deal of malicious characters that I could not connect.
I like adventure, but I think this book is aimed at a younger generation, I think it would be great if I was a teenager but I'm not an I just couldn't continue
This is an enchanting read that always seems to surprise with every page turn! I really enjoyed the books, it did remind me of The Librarians (movies and show) a little bit. Different story lines but some of the same general principles. You can't go wrong with a booklover if you make a secret library!
