Nirvana Page is almost there! Still searching for her missing father after their fateful plane crash, young "VONNA" convinces her haunted traveling companion DINO to help her get into LIGHT CITY--a high-tech metropolis filled with robots and artificial weather. Now her ethereal protector SITHRAH is missing and she wonders if she can actually finish this journey on her own.

Some of the landscapes in this volume are absolutely gorgeous. The lighting as well. From the huge rig on the scorching desert, to the throes of a snowy Light City, everything just seems bigger. Story-wise, it gets deeper, as secrets are revealed about Dino's past and Nirvana's mother. There are some crazy "unseen realm" creatures to see, many reunions of different kinds. I have no idea how it will all end.
While the last one in this series through me for a couple of loops, this one leading up to it maintained the pace of the other four. Beautifully illustrated, complex intertwining of visual and prose storytelling, great cat.
