The art is stunning and it's a refreshing take on omegaverse - also liked the characters. But the story (aka, the revolution) needs much more development.
Other than the beautiful illustrations there was nothing else remarkable about this story. The concept is a very common concept for Omega / Alpha related stories except for Simon being a beta paired with Maurice who is a alpha. This is one of those stories that could have been more interesting if it was more than 4-5 chapters. The relationship between Maurice and Simon was established prior to the story so the reader is never given an option of seeing any of the good that Simon has done for him prior to the main story. Maurice started off very aggressively towards Simon which was completely unnecessary. The characters do quite a few unnecessary things. The drama involving Maurice being married off by his father was resolved in such a matter as if this situation that caused him so much grief was suddenly meaningless. Claude's situation with his family's financial troubles were never addressed after Maurice evaded his marriage to him and the other person. Nothing is mentioned about how Maurice was able to find out and document the corruption of the family of the woman he was supposed to marry. Nothing is explained about how he was able to avoid offending the woman after rejecting her. This woman's family is related to the royal family which the story made a great deal about only for it to be resolved easily. 1 and a half stars.
First of all let’s have a stand ovation for the art of this story! I went into this thinking it was gonna be another problematic, generic omegaverse… BOY WAS I WRONG. This was beautiful, and loving, and quite literally revolutionary. I was pleasantly surprised and those are the best surprises
A pleasure to read. The art is beautiful and the author resisted the temptation to do a thing I hate, wherein a couple that like isn't fated by the end of the story somehow becomes fated anyways and so they don't have to like stick with their guns and truly commit to this unfated relationship.
No soy tan fan del estilo de dibujo, sin embargo la historia es interesante. Lamentablemente siento que el obstáculo no estaba tan bien construido con el flujo de la historia, sin embargo, el personaje de Claude es interesante y me gusta.
being a love story about alpha and beta, refusing to be with an omega was interesting, it had potential but it was just too short to really say anything of note. like why are they foster brothers I thought Simon was just his servant I mean he kind is anyway but making him a foster brother is crazy 😭 I didn’t expect it to actually be about a revolution but I guess the (a?) French (omega verse?) revolution happen on the few pages idk man like girl Maurice would have been guillotine in the French Revolution like we all know how that one actually went…
