UnlikelyFriendships Are Formed in Amish Cooking Classes
Married for eight years with no children to help fill her days, Heidi Troyer cooks up the idea of teaching classes in the art of Amish cuisine in her Holmes County, Ohio, home. But it is a recipe for drama when very different men and women answer the advertisements.
The Seekers Five class members share details of their disappointing lives, work to solve a mystery, and stir some romance into the pot. Suddenly cooking classes at Heidi’s house become life lessons. . .and their souls are healed one meal at a time.
The Blessing Six new men and women are drawn to Heidi’s cozy kitchen. During each class, she teaches culinary skills, but it is her words of wisdom that have a profound effect on her students—though, this time Heidi’s own hurting heart will need some healing nourishment.
The Celebration Lyle and Heidi Troyer have taken in two children orphaned when their parents were killed in a car accident. Hoping to help the children adapt and make friends, Heidi decides to hold a series of cooking classes for kids. But kids are always accompanied by an adult—and that is where the troubles begin.

I love reading these books they are so incredibly comforting and Wanda does a really good job writing them. These books are apart of a trilogy and they go together beautifully. The stories of different people are intertwined so well and kept me wanting to read more. 4 stars
Heidi Troyer teaches both adults and children in a series of cooking classes. finding out from her Aunt Emma (from the amish quilt trilogy) that teaching classes helps others, not only to learn how to cook amish dishes, but make friends and possibly find themshelves getting closer to God in the process.
This series has a beautiful storyline that was a pleasure to read. I loved the characters and their caring, compassionate ways of reaching out to others. I love that these stories have been gathered together in this collection. This is one of my favorite series from Wanda Brunstetter and I highly recommend it.
I love reading Amish novels and Wanda writes with such authenticity. I really enjoyed this series. With each book in the trilogy you really get to know all the characters quite well. I would highly recommend this trilogy for a lovely old fashioned read.
I rad this series as each book was released the trilogy is great as you can read the whole story without waiting, cooking classes bring people together and friendships build….support grows for each other. I recommend this book you will not be disappointed
Reading again for the second or third time, and enjoying it as usual. I don't always appreciate Brunstetter's descriptiveness, as she seems to tell rather than show sometimes. Overall though, the stories are so sweet, and seeing how everything is intertwined is beautiful!
