Could the Vietnam War have been prevented? Only you can answer that after reading this thought provoking, fact-based book about the mission that would have left Ho Chi Minh in such a position of weakness that he would have been forced to negotiate an end to the war before it began.
Met the author at a River Rats gathering at the 2003 Reno Air Races and bought a signed copy of his book, never imagining what he had endured. Have reread the book several times. Agree with him on how the VN war would have turned out much differently had politicians let the military decide the first Arc Light mission.
The intensity and far reaching intent of their mission was of a magnitude previously unheard of. The narration of man’s deep sense of survival is unquestionably one for the ages. The quality and integrity of the author is without a doubt praise worthy.
