A contract on Reno’s head forces them to flee, and in a secluded cabin in the woods, Reno shows Joshua exactly what he’s been missing out on.

Las tramas donde un personaje está "dentro del closet" me encantan. Son de mis clichés favoritos. Y Joshua no fue la excepción.

Como también me encanta el drama me hubiera gustado que el drama en este libro hubiera sido más extenso, especialmente respecto a Jackson. Evidentemente es una obra de Lynn Hagen y sabemos que todo pasa muy rápido.

La premisa de este libro fue totalmente ridícula: ¿Una human contrata a 2 sicarios para matar a Reno solo porque la metió a la cárcel? Bastante estúpido. Hubiese sido mejor que el traidor hubiera sido Palermo. Pero pues...

Me encanta Joshua. Pero me entristece que tenga que dejar Maple Grove y su gato. Es de esos personajes idiotas que le dan cierto toque al pueblo y de los que te encariñas cuando deciden cambiar para mejor. Pero estoy feliz de que haya encontrado a Reno. Joshua lo merece.

Yes, these are cookie-cutter books, but what keeps us reading is that one small twist that just grabs you and won't let you go! Like Joshua's true, hidden depth of emotion that he kept pushed behind an "asshole" persona! Hiding your true self for over 13 years from a mentally and verbally abusive parent would surely destroy a weaker person. It would appear that all that was needed was a reason bigger than fear to bring the "true" Joshua to the forefront and I guess Reno was just that reason! *grin*

I am glad to say that I enjoyed this story far more than I expected... ;D

I just love, love, loved this book. It was awesome and full of surprises, action, danger and lots of heat and love. I appreciated watching Joshua slowly find himself and finally come out of the closet, thanks to Reno. They were so cute together and they had me laughing out loud so often with their humor and many other things. I also loved how Reno kept getting traffic tickets to get Joshua's attention. Adorable. This was a totally riveting and outstanding read. =)

La química entre estos dos es buena, a la historia le faltó algo pero en términos generales estuvo bien.

I really liked that the unapproachable deputy finally got his happy ending. He was always so miunderstood and I often wondered what was happening behind the scenes in the previous books. I feel for him and his struggle to be the son his father wants him to be! It was also beautiful to see that he found a strong and confident mate who was supporting and didn't push when understanding was needed. Their relationship is not easy from the start and I am a fan of equality in relationships in ALL ways. Just because your mate is a strong alpha shifter doesn't equal that his mate is automatically supposed to submit to him, it was beautiful to see that Reno wasn't struggeling and making a big deal about the equality in their relationship (in and out of the bedroom). Please don't get me wrong, everyone has preferences, kinks etc. – all the power to you – but if you have read other books of Lynn Hagen you know her preference of placing her MCs in set roles in their relationships. That alone earned this a star in my opinion.
If I would criticize something about this book it would be the rather quick conclusion concerning Joshuas father.

Which concludes in a rating of 3 stars because I liked this book + 1 bonus star to 4 stars

Amazing way to end the series

I enjoyed this book so much I don’t even know really want to say the characters were amazing the story was amazing and the ending had me tearing up so I really really I think this is my favorite book in the series
