This book is wonderful. It is a photographic View of Life by Native American Youth. Cameras have been put into the hands of Native American youth. All the photography is done by them in black and white of scenes from the reservations in Arizona, New Mexico, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Poetry and prose has also been added to some of the photographs so that you really get a "bird's eye" view of these kids from the reservations.
"I took pictures mostly of things that are natural, pine trees, icicles, etc. I love to take pictures of natural things because I know these thing will not be here forever. These are the things that ate the most beautiful to me" written by Toni Roan, 14 years old, Window Rock, AZ.
"People in my community are nice to one another and know one another. We even care about our enemies no matter how much we hate them. I also would describe our community as a special kind because one of the world's largest tribes lives in this community and on the reservation. Our people are called Dine', which means Navajo. Janelle Francisco, 14 years old, Window Rock, AZ.
