The Fae and human world are merging at a rapid pace, leaving Kat two options; crash with the rest of them or ride it out and claim her place.
With both of Kat's knights out of the picture, it's up to her to face new dangers and defeat old enemies. But with Kat’s new powers still on the fritz and her most trusted companion no longer at her side, this librarian has to decide what’s worth saving and what will be sacrificed.
Only one question remains: Can Kat save the Underground if she can’t even save herself?
Erin Bedford is an otaku, recovering coffee addict, and Legend of Zelda fanatic. Her brain is so full of stories that need to be told that she must get them out or explode into a million screaming chibis. Obsessed with fairy tales and bad boys, she hasn’t found a story she can’t twist to match her deviant mind full of innuendos, snarky humor, and dream guys.
On the outside, she’s a work from home mom and bookbinger. One the inside, she’s a thirteen-year-old boy screaming to get out and tell you the pervy joke they found online. As an ex-computer programmer, she dreams of one day combining her love for writing and college credits to make the ultimate video game!
Until then, when she’s not writing, Erin is devouring as many books as possible on her quest to have the biggest book gut of all time. She’s written over thirty books, ranging from paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and even scifi romance.
Also, third person is really weird when writing about yourself. Just putting that out there.
The only reason why I'm reading this is because I got the entire series for free and I'm semi-invested in the plot but this series is just getting worse and worse.
Kat get's even more unbearable and selfish as the series progresses. If there was such thing as a reverse character arc, Kat is the epitome of it. Never have I met someone who deserves the title "heinous b****" more. She is brash, judgmental, and straight up rude. She never takes advice from the fae around her, who have been surviving in this world for much much longer than she has, yet always questions why everything goes wrong. She only cares about her own problems, and vilifies anybody who dares to experience any pain and suffering, because n o o n e is as poor and mistreated as herself :'(.
This book made me want to tear my eyes out but i think imma have to finish this series just to see it through 😫😫😫😫
After the last book, where we saw how Kat was dealing with returning from Wonderland and trying to pick up her normal life, this book is bringing us back to Wonderland. I was really looking forward to it, since I fell in love with this world in the very first book of the series. And the book did not disappoint, especially not because we got to see a whole new side of Wonderland.
Wonderland has gone darker. Not just because Wonderland has partly crossed over to our world, but also because where Kat saw the more beautiful, and sometimes dangerous and insane, parts of the world in the first book, she's now seeing the shadow side. And so are we. This Wonderland is dangerous and dark and suffocating. It's not a world you want to spend more time in than needed. Wanting to go home, just home, had never been this important.
But Kat can't go home. She needed some time to adjust to who she was and who she is and who she wants to be, but now she's finally ready to accept her role of savior, even if that will get her killed. I love how Kat is still very relatable. How she has grown into this role slowly, how she messes up at times, how she doesn't understand everything and makes mistakes. How she's still learning. It makes it believable that if this would happen to me, I would and could be like her.
Plotwise this book was clearly an in between book, just like the previous one was. Book 2 and 3 are clearly getting all the characters in the right place for the finale. I can't wait to dive into it next week!
Book three picks up right where we left off in book two and in this one things get even more exciting! As you would expect from a wonderland story there are tons of twists and turns and conspiracies as Kat grows into her powers and faces new challenges presented to her! I am so addicted to this series, I’m off to read the next book quick!
Great reading, this is the third book in this series and I enjoyed reading it. Can't wait for more to read from this author. I received this free to read volunteerly for an honest review.
I received a copy from BookSprout; this is my honest review. -So it's still a serials not a series. Does anyone even get an HFN? No. Everyone is missing their loved ones, their mate, their BF/GF, with no appeal to the one you're presently married to. -The fae queen forgot where she came from. A lovely family with a dedicated husband. She pushed everything aside for power. The king seems to be still in love with her but is also horrified by what she does and is afraid for his own life. How sad. -Even though I still put only 3 stars, it was better than the last one. It even got me to cry at the end. It was so, so sad. -I loved Pat and the king and their interactions. I'm still in love with Chess. Is Dorian a psychopath? In any cases, he's dangerous and I hope Kat is aware of this. Alice seemed to have changed a bit, in a positive way. -The unseely queen was so right about Kat: "... you never take any of the blame on yourself and expect others to just deal with it". Kat is still very much immature and it shows and people see it and how can they believe her their savior if she acts like a brat? -Editing: Alice is the pretender, not the faker. Opps/Oops. Etc.
Kat has to go back to underworld to find Dorian and Chess. Her fae mother has taken Chess and put him in a bad place. Kat knows her queen mother is starting to lose control to all the bad decisions she made. Her fae father contacts her and is able to get her back to the underworld. She is grateful for his help in getting Chess. He is with another that gives her a device that will help her communicate with. They set of to get to the palace to rescue Chess. Kat comes face to face with her mother. They have words and Kat makes a pact with her. Kat goes into rescue Chess but is taken back by the way he is. Kat makes a decision to help Chess, there is no going back from there. There is a lot they have to come to terms with. They also have to taken on the shadows as well. Kat gets the information from her mother about the spell to bound the shadows. Kat and Chess are in fight, she goes at it alone. She says the spell, the worst happens
This book now is picking up, you will see Kat coming her own some more. Kat can be a tad annoying in some parts, but overall enjoyable.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Chasing Princes by Erin Bedford picks up with Kat’s having her heart broken only to find that it doesn’t matter because love doesn’t come with strings when it is true. However, Kat’s problems don’t just end there. Her ex-fiancé has given himself over to the Shadows. . . a HUGE no-no. Her human mother is anti-fae. Her fae mother just kidnapped her boyfriend, Chess. She’s supposed to be the fae’s savior, but she’s not sure she can save herself. Things just keep getting tougher and tougher for our young heroine.
Bedford’s done a fantastic creating her bazar world and wonderful characters. So much passion and loyalty. An over-abundance of nativity and cynicism. The uncertainty of trust and self-esteem.
How will Kat’s tale end? I am so looking forward to Chasing Shadows to find that out!
I received a free download through Amazon, but voluntarily reviewed. The opinion expressed is my own, not influenced by anyone or anything other than my reaction to the story read.
Our heroine is now a part of Wonderland (or vice versa). Can she use that to save the world she knows or will it consume her completely?
This is book three of the series. While it does okay as a standalone, I recommend starting at the beginning so that you understand the situation.
This is a fantasy story which revisits the classic Wonderland setting, not a retelling of the original story. Some of the setting and characters may see familiar, but they have changed making this story new and all on its own. The story is well written, easy to read and very engaging. The setting and characters continue to grow and change, providing new revelations and challenges for our heroine. But it remains to be seen if she is up for these challenges. Overall, another excellent chapter in our saga.
Highly recommended.

This one was fantastic. While still full of romance and lust it didn't overshadow the story. Fae have come to earth for safety to avoid the shadows. People don't know what to do about them but the U.S. president has said they are welcome there. Kat is still working on getting control of her powers while trying to determine how to save the world. Hard to save the world when you don't know how to save yourself. She still jumps in head first without thinking but she has grown as a character. The side characters have also grown. Particularly Alice, she stops being just another mouthy character and instead becomes a friend. Chess is still a fascinating character and learning more about him is amazing. Dorian, oh Dorian, why did you do it? Seeing him as he is now is kind of sad. On to Chasing Shadows!
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
I really enjoyed this series. Based on the fact it says that it's "for adults" I was afraid it would be erotica with a little story thrown in, but it's not. It is lusty in some parts, but that is definitely second to the actual story. I enjoyed the spunky characters and the new view into Wonderland. I didn't expect things to go the way they did most of the time, and that is always a good thing. The world Ms. Bedford created was fun, and full of danger. I felt for Kat and shared her worries and victories. I would recommend this to fans of fantasy and romance that are tired of reading about 17 year-olds.
Kat's life isn't doing to plan, Chess has broken her heart and Dorian has gone. Fae are disappearing, both worlds are merging and that's about all i will say about the story line as i don't want to give anything away. This series just keeps getting better and better and its definitely one of my favorite series. Just like books 1 & 2 this one draws you in, all the characters are unique and you cant help but like/love them all. Chess is still my favorite character, I mean who wouldn't love him, just some many different sides to him. While Kat just keeps getting stronger and more determined as each book continues. Can't wait to read Chasing Shadows.
This is the third book in the Underground Series. I know this is going to sound strange even as dark as the story was at time I so wanted to visit the Underground. Something just pulled me in. Even with all the troubles that Kat is having. Human mother Anti-fae. Fae Mother kind of cracked. Her love triangle is kind of a dot right now since she does not have either of them in her life right now. Her worlds are merging and she has to claim her place in it all. I really feel for Kat in this one. She is going through a lot emotionally and she still has not got a grip on her powers.
The Fae are known for their trickery and poor Kat should have learned by now to not just jump with out looking at everything first. She's a smart girl, but she really goes into things head first. This is a great series and I can't say it enough. Every character has underlying rules or actions that they must follow which leads to different plot twists. The story is unique in some ways, but also utilizes the the stories of Wonderland to play on the imagination just a little bit more. It's a sexier, darker version of the original and I love it!
Adventure, suspense, romance, happy, sad - it's all here in Chasing Princes. I really enjoyed living in this fae realm even for a brief time. Or has it been years? No, maybe just days? Or hours? Doesn't seem long enough. Ahh, but, we all have to return to the human realm at one time or another. Luckily, we can go back and revisit the fae realm when we've been gone long enough. And so I shall revisit again soon. Or maybe just minutes? Or seconds? Yes, seconds is too long. And I'm off again. This time to visit Chasing Shadows!
This book continues the adventures of Kat in the Underground. The adventures and twists and turns keep coming. Although somewhat based on the characters and places from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, Erin Bedford's story is creative, unique, exciting, and far more erotic. I love the world-building and the characters. I hate the cliff-hangers. but fortunately the next book is already out, so I don't have to wait to see what happens next.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I liked the advancement of the romantic relationship between the main characters. I just wished that I liked the Heroine more, because she has gotten even more caustic in her personality. Adult read because of language and sexual situations.
It's an OK read. I think the Cheshire cat is my favorite character. I like the alternate interpretation of the Wonderland characters. Since I already have the next book, I'll read it. Not sure if I'll continue after that book.
Great and interesting take on Alice In Wonderland; well written with interesting characters and a well built world.
Book three picks up right where we left off in the last book. Wonderland is getting darker and darker the more it merges with the Human world! There are lots of twists and turns and as Kat grows into her powers she faces new challenges! Will she rise to the challenges or run back to her old life?
Looking forward to the next book ❣

If you are a fan of reimaginings of any type, but especially if you are a fan of Alice, you will not be disappointed! These books had me hook, line and sinker! Bedford's tale of "Wonderland" is great story with thoughtful and comprehensive world and character building. Action packed and fast paced, I never felt the stories lag or lost interest. Kat is compelling and relatable and her friends are and loyal and loveable (and the boys are especially yummy...) making for great interactions and dialogue. In short absolute must reads!
Kat is back and this time must return to the Underworld to search for Dorian and Chess. Of course things get crazy and do not go quite as planned. Kat runs into her family while there and learns a few things she needs to know. It was full of the fun characters in this series and I loved what happened. It was interesting to watch Kat step up and do what she must do. Just a fun read that was full of action and danger that kept me entertained.
I've read several books written by Erin Bedford; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the characters.

We’re back in Wonderland, but it’s darker than before. Last time Kat was here, she didn’t see much of the shadow side of Wonderland, but it’s here in full force now. There’s twists and turns as Wonderland and the human world are starting to collide. I liked this book more than the first 2 because it’s getting really exciting now! I can’t wait for book 4!

I took a chance with this series, unsure of how I would like it. I'm glad I took that chance. I was hooked from the first few chapters of the first book "Chasing Rabbits" A fresh, more adult spin on wonderland (or the underground) and totally captivating. I look forward to the next book in February.
This is the third book in the series and is even better than the first two! The author does a fantastic job developing the story line and bringing strong, likable characters. She paints her scenes in vivid detail and moves the story quickly and smoothly. I'm looking forward to the next book!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
This is book three in The Underground series and picks up where book two left off. In this book Kat is growing into her powers, searching for Dorian and Chess, and so much more going on in this twisty, entertaining read. Loved all the interesting characters and I can't wait to read the next book in The Underground series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

The adventures of Kat and the Underground continues with more tough decisions, life revelations and steamy romance. This series continues to get better. I simply have not been able to put these books down. Reading 1 a day. Can't wait to start the next!
