My obsession on the off-limits silver fox started on the day of my birthday party. Something dark and hungry had been awakened inside me that day, and I craved for more.
In my desperation, I created a fake profile on a dating app just so I could talk to him.
I have a few problems.
One, he’s much, much older than me.
Two, he’s my dad’s best friend.
Three…he might actually like me back. Only he doesn’t know that I’m the girl of his dreams. He doesn’t know that the woman he’s been texting is me. If he ever finds out the truth, the damage might be irreversible.
I saw this under my radar, read the blurb, and it sounded right up my alley. I guess I have read it before, and I do remember some parts of the book.
Overall it was a good storyline with steamy parts. I didn’t feel like there was character growth or development. The story starts with Layla, at 18 years of age, trying to seduce Logan, and he turns her away. Then the story jumps five years later, which is fine. Layla moved away from her family and hasn’t visited in the five years; Logan now re-enters Layla’s life. From this moment, it’s very fast-paced. Logan tells her a secret that seems to be glossed over; maybe it just me, but I felt like it should have been more detailed. The secret was briefly addressed.
Don't let my three-stars discourse you; it could be your five-star.
felt like grooming a little bit. it wasn’t but the feelings were there. There was also so little that happened even thought it felt like so much happened. The author tried to give the MMC a dramatic back story and then dropped it a chapter later. it just wasn’t very good.
When I tell you that I died ☠️ ! I had actual freaking tears rolling down my face at 9:30 pm. I was crackling at his Occupation. I was laughing soo hard I scared my dog.
This was a short quick that I thought was okay. Layla is a young girl who is basically stalking her neighbor who is her dads best friend. Logan knows that Layla catfished him and that she is hiding under his bed. This was an okay read this book had some hot sexy scenes in it. This was my first time reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.
Plenty of dirty talk Breeding talk Age gap Father's best friend Virgin fmc DD/lg (which isn't for me)
I don't like that she asked him to give up on his "career" for her and only after one night in the sack. I mean.. it is what it is.. hea and all of that.
Book: Mr Taboo Daddy Read By: Ebook Author: Aria R. Blue Narrator: NA Genre: MF Romance Main Characters: Layla and Logan Recommend: Yes Spice: 🌶️️ 🌶️️ 🌶️️ 🌶️️ Age recommendation: 18-30+ Years My feelings:
Quick short steamy read.
“My eyes fill to the brim with tears, and I’m ashamed now. I’m ashamed that I really believed that he came back for me.”
Great for when you want a spicy read but not a long one.
“I can’t keep making excuses for a man who doesn’t make me a priority. I’m sick of becoming a second thought.”
Storyline needed some work but All in all ok.
“This pussy, it’s mine. I’m the only one who gets to look at it, touch it, fuck it and fill it up with cum.”

Honestly, I didn’t think it was the worst book I’ve ever read BUT THERE WAS SOME PARTS THAT I SAT THERE LIKE WHAT. First of all, I don’t get why Logan has to mention his “darker side” and start talking about his occupation as an assassin out of nowhere.😭😭
“I’m an assassin, but I’m a Lawman first. I come from a long line of assassins. My grandfathers and grandmothers, they were all in this. In a way, we take care of the world. We restore balance when there’s too much evil lurking. Crimes go unnoticed every day. Criminals walk among us. So people like me exist to change that. To do what the law won’t do.”
^^IDK THIS REMINDED ME OF SOMETHING THAT BATMAN WOULD SAY AND IT MADE ME CRINGE AND LAUGH AT THE SAMW TIME.
AND WHY IS SHE GIVING HIM AN ULTIMATUM LIKE RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE AFTER THEY JUST HAD SEX. BRO LIKE WHATATAT. There was a lot of good spicy moments in this book, but I felt there was no character development in this story since the book was so short. Some of the scenes made me cringe so bad that I had to put down the book for a couple of seconds and just think about what I just read.
“Such a bad potty mouth you have,”
^^this just ruined it for me when I was reading and many more quotes that I refuse to look up to include in this review.
Other than that, it has some good spicy moments but a lot of it got ruined by something Logan said during sex but I’m not saying it was bad. It could have just been formulated differently.

I’ll start by saying that the spice scenes were mostly really great (other than the use of the word “cream” to describe his stuff multiple times) but even that felt like it was super oddly rushed to get to. We got some background and it seemed like we were going to get a story of them working out a way to be together but it went from “no we can’t be together” to five years later and then just banging as soon as he breaks into her house and tells her that he is an assassin. Then after they bang, after YEARS of supposedly being in love with him and her just wanting him to want her, she kicks him out randomly and tells him she wants nothing to do with him after he confesses his desire to be with her. She is very set in this even though minutes before she was in love and over the moon. Shortly later after they say bye, she has a distracted day at works, goes home and thinks about him in the bath, starts getting excited and he just shows up and all is okay again. I couldn’t stomach much more than that so I mostly skimmed. It all just felt inconsistent to me.

Short, steamy age-gap romance between a girl and her dads best friend.
Layla knows what she wants and decides stalking is the best way to get it. But she has no idea he knows. Logan needs to stay away from her but it’s so hard when she keeps inserting herself in his life.
These two are explosive! 🥵 Super quick read but SO SPICY.
Pretty creepy book. Felt like grooming and it was written by a man with a thing for underage girls.
Felt like there were no emotions in the book and everything happened so quickly. I also can’t get over the fact that her parents immediately accepted everything. And the fact that he’s an assassin was casually shoved in there.

I heard a sound on TikTok that describes this accurately: “It is so bad, I want to give you a zero, but that's not possible, so I give you a one.” This was so cringey and gave me the ick. There were no good parts.
Romance genre: age gap Part of a series: no Length: 67 pages
Plot: Layla is in love with Logan, her father's best friend and neighbor. She's been stalking him - hiding under his bed, creating an online dating profile to catfish him - you know, the things you do when you like someone. She thinks she's stealthy, but he's knows what she's up to. He'd like to take advantage of what she's offering, but he doesn't feel right getting together with his best friend's daughter. So she leaves for college early. Five years later, after no contact, he shows up to her apartment, and they finally connect. Is he there because he missed her, though, or for another reason?
Character development: The characters in this one took a strange turn. I thought it was stalking (with the cute addition of him knowing that she was stalking him), but then it morphed into some daddy kink (which didn't surprise me, given the age gap), but then the assassin thing? That was surprising, and I'm not sure it was anything more than a plot device to give a reason for him to show up again. Still, I enjoyed the story, and while this wasn't the most sensical of this author's, it was still a fun story.
Would I read more from this author/in this series: Yes
Layla has lived next door to Logan for years. He's the hot single older guy. He is also her dad's best friend. When she shows him he's interested he stops anything before it goes to far. Fast forward years later he sees her again because he's in town for a job. And they pick up where they left off and...
Well the book wasn't the worse but wasn't great either. I can see some aspects that were good. The mystery around Logans job but...
The spice threw me off. I have no problem with calling guys daddy but for some reason when Layla did it it didn't work. But I did laugh when she said oh God and he responded "not God, it's daddy". But see? Even then daddy felt wrong to me.
Either way besides the mystery of his job...skip this one personally.
Our heroine is in love with the neighbor, who happens to be her father's best friend. Awkward!
This is a novella length romance with an older/younger semi-taboo theme. The story is very well written, easy to read and very enjoyable. Our characters are well developed, strong, intelligent and the need each other. But there is a secret that is in the way and it takes a good while resolve. It was actually rather nice that the story was not rushed and everything took the time it needed, but the result was very steamy and capped with an excellent HEA. A very enjoyable read.
Highly recommended.

This book is very quick read. Roughly 80 pages. Reading it felt like I was reading the second book in a two book series, but I hadn’t read the first. Or there were chapters missing that weren’t in my copy. It was frustrating. There’s no development of the romance and relationship. 80 pages wasn’t enough time to even get invested in their love because we really didn’t get enough explanation to do so. It left so much to be desired. The other 200 or so pages could be written to really draw this story out and it could be amazing. But as it’s written there’s just not enough plot for the amount of major events stuffed into this short book.
This book is a sweet romantic story about a eighteen year old who is in love with her dad’s best friend. The best friend knows that she is too young so he pushes her away for a few years. Years later, he seeks her out to stake his claim. This quote pretty much sums up the story “Our love took work. It wasn’t easy and comfortable, it was raw and frustrating. But we made it work anyway, and it’s paid off.” It’s a quick read with the Daddy to little flavor. Read On!
I'd give this a 3, because even though it's technically written well enough, the story was a bit flat. The conflict didn't build enough and then it fizzled, in my opinion.
I liked the characters, and it's definitely spicy, but it needed just a bit more depth to live up to the potential of the premise.
I don't typically read much MF these days, but this was free and labeled taboo, so I gave it a go. It was an entertaining enough way to pass a couple of hours, but it could have been so much more.
This is a perfect read for a something sort with a complete daddy feel. She is innocent in every way wanting her father's best friend to be her daddy. He also wants her as her little girl. This has a little story, with spice, and a HEA. However, it left me feeling like I didn't know the characters and I didn't get those feelings because there was that lack of it all. Overall, it was ok. I want to read a longer story from this author because Aria is a good writer and I devoured this book, but needed more.
Mr. Taboo Daddy by Aria R Blue & @ariarblue_author is a new to me author. This is a quick read at 78 pages. Layla is attracted to Logan... Her dad's best friend. Layla is 18 & Logan is 43. Logan feels that Layla is too young so he turns her down. She leaves for college. 5 years later, they meet again, Logan comes after her. He tells her if they do this, it's for good & no going back. She agrees because she never got over him. They get married & live happily together. 🥰 this was a good book!
This is quite a short story, but really it is a sweet one and a feel good one. Some stories of this length are missing quite a lot and others feel like they are complete. This story, is of the latter kind. Could perhaps use a chapter or two. Overall this story has quite a good storyline and the characters are as well. So fabulous four stars it is for this one.Despite it being pretty vanilla I quite enjoyed this. And I really liked she accepted his 'secret' so well. If you're looking for an easy, fun read this would be a good choice
She's always wanted him, but she knew she loved him on her birthday. He is much older and worse...her dad's best bud. He has a secret life that he wants to keep far away from her and he doesn't want to lose his best friend. All good reasons to stay away from each other, but the heart doesn't work that way and Daddy won't be able to stay away from his baby. A sexy short read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I don’t understand why the author felt the need to give the male character a “dark side”. It was definitely unnecessary and I’m sure it was done to make the plot move a little bit because otherwise it was dead.
Also, what’s with the weird dirty talk? “And then, we get this belly nice and round with a baby.” I’m sorry, but that just makes my insides dry up and shrivel… do people find that hot?!
DNF. Some of the things in this book were just plain confusing, like Logan’s occupation?? Why?? Or Logan’s last name changing back and forth from Lawman to Lawson. I also ended up not realizing there was a five year time jump until Layla said something about it in her inner monologue after she sees Logan again. Although I will take that one with a grain of salt considering that was my own fault.
All in all the parts of this book I did read felt like a bad fanfiction.
This book was definitely taboo, obviously from the title. And it was interesting but the use of daddy and baby girl were over the top for me personally but I do believe that’s just because I’m not that into the kink. Overall, I found the characters in during, but the story was pretty basic pretty simplistic and I would’ve loved more drama, but overall it was OK and it’s a good short read for anybody who wants to get some experience with taboo.
Short fast paced novella. She doesn’t really stalk her neighbor, it’s more she hides under his bed and he knows she’s there. She catfished him for a while but he figured her out. This lust they carry for each other started when she was 18, nothing happened but a kiss. It jumps to five years later where she still loves him he shows up because of a job in the city. He reveals a big secret that’s glossed over. The daddy kink never bothered me but their dialogue did, hence the 2 stars.
