Falling for Irish

Rate this book
Gabby
I’m about to break out of my privileged prison and run away to Ireland.
I’ve changed my name and altered my appearance.
My grandparents will never find me.
But my first day in Dublin is a total disaster.
So much for The Emerald Isle being the land of a hundred thousand welcomes.
Things get even worse when an arrogant Irishman strolls into my life.
I refuse to let myself fall for his lilting accent and bedroom eyes.
Too bad my heart didn’t get the memo.
But then he betrays me, and my new life comes tumbling down.
For as long as I live, I’ll never fall in love again.

Liam
Something doesn’t add up about the redhead’s reasons for moving to Dublin.
Not that I care.
We all have secrets.
Besides, the last thing I want to do is to get involved with the prissy princess.
Building my tattoo business is my number one priority.
But then I bump into her at a nightclub.
One thing leads to another.
I hadn’t planned on falling as hard as I did.
Nor had I planned on giving her my heart.
But then I discover who she really is and all the lies she told.
I don’t know if I can forgive her.
And, I don’t know if I can convince her it wasn’t me who betrayed her.

Falling for Irish is a steamy, standalone novel. If you enjoy arrogant alpha males who are tattooed from head to toe and independent heroines on a path to self discovery, then you’ll love Liam and Gabby's journey to finding love.

No cliffhangers. No cheating. One very happy ever after.

Cora York adores steamy stories about sassy women and the sexy men who push them to their limits. But, these days, thanks to her job as a full-time domestic goddess and kid-chauffeur, she no longer has the luxury of sitting down to read full-length romance novels. To get her fix, she created Quick Reads for Fast Lives--all the romance in a fraction of the time.

Gabrielle's mother was kidnapped and murdered when she was 4. Her wealthy grandparents raised her, but they're so over-protective that she feels like she's in prison. She has an escape plan, one that involves a name change, a new hairstyle, and a plane trip to Dublin. All she needs is a place to live and a job. Before she finds either, she's rescued from a pickpocket by Liam, a local tattoo artist. He calls her Princess and tells her to go back where she belongs - she thinks he's a pompous ass. So of course, they're "friends". What happens when he finds out who she is and where she comes from? I fell in love with this story from the first page. These two are wonderful together, their banter just so enjoyable. Laim had a crappy upbringing, and his father and sister are real pieces of work. But he's so talented, and surrounds himself with great friends and the good people in the neighborhood. I love how much happier Gabby becomes when she's in Dublin - she makes friends so easily, stumbles into a job, falls in love. This is my first read from this author, and I hope to be able to read much more!

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. This is a great story about Liam and Gabby. She's the heiress of her grandparents hotel dynasty. But she's kept in a gilded cage after her mother's death. She runs away to Ireland only to get knocked down some more. Within the first 24 she almost gets her bag stolen, her knees are scraped up, she finds out her rescuer is also her annoyingly handsome neighbor and he grandparents are worried. Liam is a tattoo artist who runs his studio in the apartment building he loves. He has plans to buy the building and expanding his business. When he sees Gabby almost get mugged he becomes her protector. There share some crazy chemistry but she's afraid to let him in. When push comes to shove who can she depend on. Great HEA in the end.

This fabulous book features Liam and Gabby. She witnessed her mother’s horrible death when she was four years old. Since then, her grandparents have kept her sheltered for fear of something happening to her too. Now she’s 21 and needs her freedom. She closed her eyes and pointed to a map and Ireland was her destination. Liam is the first person she meets when she gets there. He saved her from a pick pocket. Liam is the sexy, brooding tattoo artist who doesn’t know if he ever wants his own HEA. Of course, after their initial meeting, they really hit it off. Things get really complicated when his con-artist father and sister discover who Gabby really is.

This entire book had great flow and fantastic characters! I hope the author gives Brooks and Agnes their own book, as well as Aly and Carter. I can’t wait for more!

Falling for Irish by Cora York was an absolutely wonderful read, and once again highlights Ms York’s consistent writing style that provides readers with great characters, a storyline that flows from start to finish, and a plot that was equal parts dramatic, intriguing and at times gut-wrenching and heartbreaking too. There was so much to love about this book, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves their romance with some ups and downs, laughter and tears, and a healthy dose of soul deep love. I’m hoping this is the first of a new series, but whatever Cora York writes, I will definitely read!

Gabrielle is sick of the bodyguards she has had since she was a little girl after her mother was kidnapped for ransom and her wealthy grandparents did not pay so her mother was murdered and she was found along her side. She has made a plan to moved to Ireland where she rents a room over a tattoo studio and calls herself Gabby while working at a thrift store. She meets Liam who owns the tattoo studio when he rescues her from being robbed and they begin a hot relationship but soon she is found and gets whisked away back to New York. Will Liam go after the woman he has fallen in love with?

Freedom

Freedom...that is what Gabrielle desires. While she loves her overly protective grandparents, she feels likes she being kept in a prison. Her "escape" leads her Ireland. Her first run-in with Liam is less than stellar. To say that these two are completely opposite would be an understatement. Watching them fight their way to a HEA is very entertaining.

Wow! This had moments that were gut wrenching because of Gabby's past but her need to carve her own life and future speak of strength, unlike what her grandparents think. In escaping to Ireland she meets Liam and their connection is electric. I couldn't get enough. But in keeping secrets, there is always a fallout and I enjoyed seeing how Liam and Gabby navigated that.

I came back from Dublin on February, 15th and I can't say how many times I walked up, or down, the stalls on Moore Street and now I wished I have payed attention to the coffee shops, tattoo shops and drift stores. Gabby and Liam story is so good! I loved how they have the same trauma even coming from a background so different from one another and that their feelings find a way to heal each other!

Running away is not what Gabby wanted to do, but she had to. Smothering grandparents and 24/7 bodyguards are the reasons to runaway. Living indoors and no friends she wanted more for herself. She wants to be independent and make a name for herself, not as the heiress of a rich motel family. Move away they say, go to Dublin they say...in walks Liam to save the day.

Love Irish Romance

I often seek out romance books with settings in Ireland. This story was cute, and I loved that Gabby went to Ireland for her escape. She is instantly and literally saved by Liam, and they soon find themselves in a relationship. They each have obstacles trying to prevent their love story from happening. My first book by this author, but I would love to read more!

I'm in awe!

I usually like stories that are under 80 pages but I've become such a Cora York fan, I bit the bullet. I'm so glad I did, this was such an awesome read. The storyline was great, the feels are amazing and after a swift kick Liam definitely makes you swoon!
