Kill them all. Take their Loot. Let the gods sort them out.
Look at your library. Sadly, none of those books are about orc pirates, but if you bought this book, one of them could be. Now, look at this book. It’s about a badass orc on a giant pirate ship about to raid the closest human village. What’s in his hand? A big ass axe as he stomps up the gangplank to slaughter all who stand in his way.
Look again. Now you’re saving the princess and she’s ever so grateful.
Trust me, anything is possible when you’re an orc pirate and not a weakling.
Please Note: This novel contains a harem and adult situations. You have been warned.
3.5 stars Surprisingly enjoyable read. Pirates of the Caribbean vibe with a honorable Orc as the captain, respectful of females and actually uses his brain. I wasn't overly thrilled with the small harem (2 females - a witch and siren) but they both seem quite content with it, so who am i to argue about it. Extra star for Bloody Bill - definitely want to see more of him and his deceitful and untrustworthy deals.
Trashy, Derivative, And I liked it way more than it deserved Imagine another remake of Pirates of the Caribbean, but with the budget and brains of Starship troopers (the movie). Also imagine that the shower scene lasts 20% of the movie and the sex scenes show penetration. If this sounds like a movie you would watch over and over, you might like this book. This is mostly a pirate book, that has some sex and the captain keeps reminding you he's an orc because if he didn't keep reminding you, you really would forget. This pirate book is based way more on pirate movies than any classical literature. Yet, the pacing is good. the action is fun. the plot mostly makes sense, and the MC is likeable for reasons that defy understanding, and I just finished the book. I found this to be a lot more fun than I expected, but I was expecting garbage.
Now that was a great tale. Excellent story, with a few minors typos. The MC is awesome, and the harem is extremely unique. I love a story with monster girls. I hope this become a bestseller so he can keep it going. I can't wait to see more of this world the Archer has built, we've only been to a few of the isles. Keep it up.
Well written and fun, I think I’m just not a fan of pirate stories. If you enjoy slow building harem stories and pirates, this is definitely worth a read. I also tried The Lost Pirates by Jamie Hawke, another author I enjoy and struggled with it. I really think I’m just not in to pirates.
All that being said, this is your pretty standard harem story. And if you have read any other Simon Archer books and like his style, you shouldn’t be disappointed by this book.
Pirates are cool, orc pirates even cooler. Some books are just plain fun. When you can imagine yourself chasing treasure and tail at the same time, it doesn't get much better. Thanks Simon.
Bought this a while ago and just got around to reading it, but it was worth it. Had plenty of action, spells and adult entertainment. Thought the book was well thought out. Lool forward to the next one.
I never read books this long but found myself enjoying this pirate orc adventures it had everything in an adventure. It was well written with a great plot hoping the next book is just as good.
Overall the store it was quite enjoyable. It’s definitely worth getting the next book in the series. I look forward to seeing what else this Author puts out.
Of you enjoy pirates and fantasy/mythological creatures then you'll enjoy this. There's no typical Jack sparrow type character. It's not even needed to be honest. MC is strong and confident with intelligence and a good blend of hero and antihero morals. A great read. A few descriptive intimate scenes but not all of them are, not are the a major filled in this book. I'm definitely impressed and looking forward to the next book!!!
I enjoyed this pirate book. I'm normally not a fan of harem because harem also usually means terrible sex and unrealistic relationships. This had a cute harem relationship and only some sex, which is easy to skip if you're not into it.
There was a lot of action! If you're squeamish at all or against monsters eating people this might not be for you
Fast-paced swashbuckling high fantasy action on the high seas. If you took “Pirates of the Caribbean” and merged it with “The Two Towers”, then added some solid “earthiness” to it you’d get something fun like this. Definitely not for the kids, but fun nevertheless.
Pirate stories aren't usually my favored genre to read but this book definitely showed me that maybe it's time to expand my reading. Well written, full of action and adventure, magic and lore, and very memorable and well fleshed out characters. Keep up the great work
An excellent story and who does not love a swashbuckler? Having been raised on Errol Flynn and Tyrone Power, to name two, I can state that an Orc captain with his powerful crew are my new favorites. It's a winner!
Great characters and world. Enjoying the pirate orc enormously. FYI, Tiny bit of ‘harem’ in that there are 2 female love interests, for those who care. So far, very well done relationship building with that.
I liked this really well. It had it all and then some. The characters were real and very likable. Action and adventures on the high sea. Magic and true toughness. Not a lot to dislike.
I got this for the heck of it .Damn glad I did !! Very nice writing, well built story line, very well built characters. Story had me hooked on the first few minutes and stop even at the last page.
Sex, violence, pirates, what more can you ask for?! Whatever it is Simon Archer provides it. This series started amazing, and I've read most of his other works. They are all just as amazing.
I enjoyed the the great character detail and the story has a great flow, the only reason this did not get 5 starts is that the bad guys give to much of the plot away and it's like playing catch up if you already know what's going to happen.
I'm in! This was a rollicking good time by an author that understands how to craft a world. The pirate action was top-shelf! Looking forward to more from this author.
Yeah the underlying harem story is predictable; But! This time it’s reasonable. An orc? Well what else can carry a story as well as a great ax and two women? Certainly not a twiggy elf.
A different take on an action adventure. I didn't think I would enjoy this book as much as I did, but I found the Orcs to be fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable.
