Constant fighting and raids have split the four peoples of an alternate world farther and farther apart. The gods, wishing to halt the conflict, decide to intervene. Enemies on opposite sides of the burgeoning conflict, Raven, Cera, Kel and Henrie, are transported to a strange land and told to travel west. Beset by monsters at every turn, they must learn to control the powers that they possess and learn to trust each other. As they journey through the forbidding landscape, they learn things about each other and about themselves that they never suspected.

Alda Yuan is an attorney at the Environmental Law and Policy Center based in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated with her JD and probably several complexes from Yale Law School in 2018.
She lives with her cat, an adorable orange menace who only occasionally answers to the name Artemis.
