Sometimes, you just have to punch a shape-shifting vampire Nazi. Like tonight, for instance.

Meet Princess Kaps: renegade, dragon shifter, and general pain in her royal parent's backsides. Although Kaps pretends to love rock and roll, she’s actually obsessed with fighting the Audax, a group of shape-shifting vampire Nazis. And to slay herself some vampires, Kaps collects magical dragon relics.

Enter the L’Griffe--AKA the shifter mafia—who also hunt down supernatural artifacts. Kaps gets in their way and ends up with a price on her head. And things get tricky.

A bounty hunter named Mack comes to collect. Although he’s human, Mack knows all about shifter ways. And what he lacks in shifting power he more than makes up for with a lethal combination of looks, strength, and smarts. After luring the princess away with an epic kiss, Mack slaps some supernatural handcuffs on Kaps, tosses her in a van, and heads off to L’Griffe headquarters with his quarry.

The fact that Kaps is really dragon royalty doesn’t bother Mack in the slightest. And the Audax don’t frighten him, either.

But that kiss with Kaps? It might be a problem.

“I am super intrigued by Kaps! She is independent, snarky and adventurous, and just a hint jaded. I can't wait to see what terrible mischief she finds herself in during her own book!” – Smada’s Book Smack

Bedlam, a demon-titan wants Myla as his wife. He doesn’t care that Myla is already married to Lincoln, the Prince of Thrax nor that she doesn’t even want to be with him.

Myla’s world is turned upside down when she finds herself in another world or life. Myla is losing her memories and fast. She calls upon her Igni to help her but they are disappearing as fast as her memory and can not help her.

Myla makes herself little notes, list of ways so she won’t forget who she is or her life. She repeats over and over to herself that she is married to a wonderful hot man Lincoln and that she has a son, Maxon.

In order to keep her memories and get her life back Myla believes that all she has to do is find that hunk of a husband of hers, Lincoln. Myla believes that she and Lincoln together can set things right again and everything will go back to normal.

Well when she finds Lincoln he no longer remembers her. Myla now has to help him remember who she is or at least trusts her and believe in her that she is telling him the truth.

Myla is one of my favorite characters of all time. I love her witty ways, the way she talks, the things she says, and I love how she gives everyone a name. And I love her tail and the way it communicates with her poking her in the shoulder or that she can use her tail in a fight. I love this world of Myla and Lincoln’s, the Angelbound world.

Quasi Redux is the eighth book in the Angelbound Origins world and with each book, they just get better and better. The world-building is just so awesome. The writing is brilliant and the storyline is amazing. I can’t get enough of this world and am always anxiously awaiting the next book in the series hoping it never ends. I do hope to see the Angelbound worlds on the big screen one day.

So with saying all that I do highly recommend Quasi Redux and all the Angelbound books to anyone looking for a great read. Grab your copy of Quasi Redux today to begin this epic adventure!

A story about dragons, rock bands and vampire Nazis. What's not to love? On one level, KAPS is a fun and romantic adventure that takes you away from the (often blah) world. In another sense, it's an exploration of the masks we wear... and how true love inspires us to toss false personas away.

Kaps loves fighting the Audax, a group of shape-shifting vampire Nazis and killing vampires and hunting down magical dragon relics all while pretending that she loves rock and roll music to hopefully keep her parents off her back.

If her parents ever find out what she does then she will be locked in the tower of their castle never to see the outside world again. Yeah our little Kaps wears many caps to protect what she loves to do and to keep her parents from worrying about her all the time.

When Kaps draws the attention of the shifter mafia and a price is put on her head a human bounty hunter Mack comes to collect his bounty, Kaps. Mack captures Kaps with a kiss and slaps the magical cuffs on her and whisk her away.

Mack and Kaps both enjoy their little kiss but each have a job to do. Mack’s job is to take Kaps in and collect his bounty while Kaps job is to escape. Kaps has all the confidence in the world that she will escape. First thing she has to do is find a way to remove those magical cuffs though.

Kaps is a fun, fast paced read that will pull you into its depths from the first page until the last. Kaps had a visit from a couple of my favorite characters from the Angelbound Origins, Grandma Myla Lewis known as the Great Scala and her Igni.

I love this Angelbound world and its spin-off worlds. I can’t ever get enough of all these great and amazing characters and this world. Kaps is action packed and so captivating and unpredictable to the point that you will lose all contact with the outside world while you are visiting the Angelbound world.

If I could give the Angelbound world a higher rating than five I definitely would. I can’t wait for the next book in this world. I highly recommend Kaps to all fantasy, paranormal, magical shifter fans with lots of action and a great adventure. One click your copy today!

Kaps is the fifth book in the Angelbound Offspring series and one that I wasn't too bothered about reading. The only reason I wanted to is because it is part of the series and I didn't want to miss anything from the other characters. HOW WRONG I WAS!!!!

In this story, I found out I had been suckered into seeing the masks Kaps hides behind, just like the rest of her family and friends. It took Mack and his no-nonsense approach to seeing Kaps in all her glory to help me see her that way too. And can I just say... she's brilliant! With this one instalment, I now want to go back and re-read the other four books in the series, just to see her with fresh eyes.

And Mack - oh, be still my heart. He was simply wonderful. He fought for Kaps, even against her friends, and stood by her throughout it all. I really can't wait for his book to come along. I need Kaps and Mack to get their HEA.

I can't leave this review for my favourite Grandma out of all of them 😉 - Great M. Such a brilliant character and I'm so glad she had Kaps' back in this.

This is part of a series from a series (Angelbound Origins followed by Angelbound Offspring) so I really do recommend you read them all to get the full picture of each of the characters and the storyline that runs through. Not only that but you get a fantastic world to dive into time and again.

For a book I wasn't bothered about reading to completely turn me around the way it did, I can only give it 5-stars! Absolutely recommended by me.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

My one reasons that I had to read Kaps. She was unlike the other females of the series. She was for me strong, independent, feisty, headstrong, determined, and most of all she felt vulnerable, hurts, lost, confused. Okay, I know that I said my one reason, but you have to have read the series and had the chance to get familiar with the women/young ladies of Angelbound Offspring series. All the things that I listed that I could see in Kaps were not always there. You had to take a really good look at her. She was the there in her own way. Her ongoing appeal was the way she could carry a banter without batting an eyelash.

I absolutely loved her. She was more without it being right in your face. You had to look a little deeper to appreciate what she had.

I have to say that Mack and the L'Griffe may have bitten off a lot more than they could chew comfortably.

It was fab getting to see past characters and meeting new ones. This will be a really great series when it comes to audio and can be share with more of the masses. My kids hate my version of voice variation. (hint)

I really enjoyed this and although I love all the Angelbound series, I admit to being a bit hesitant about this one, Kaps wasn’t my favourite or so I thought ! This book totally changed my opinion of Kaps and I love it when an author can show you a new side to a character or take them on a journey that changes your opinion. I have to admit a lot of this was down to Mack (and how I love Mack !) As always this book is full of fun, action, humour, great characters, snarky dialogue and chemistry. Fantastic escapism

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this ARC in return for an honest review.
Another gripping episode in Myla Lewis' life as the Great Scala but when she finds herself swept into another dimension where Prince Lincoln is no longer her husband and living under a curse by Bedlam who is determined to marry Myla himself, how can she defeat him and return to her real life?
A very enjoyable read which will certainly appeal to the YA target audience.

********** Contain Some Spoilers**********

I really enjoyed this book. Myla and Lincoln are back in another adventure. This time it’s a reimagined tale of Beauty and the Beast. Bedlam, the demon-titan of chaos is planning to cause havoc in the world, and wants Myla as his wife but he needs her to agree. There’s no way in hell she’ll ever take him up in his complete nut bar of an offer. While Myla was going through the wacky gifts that she’s received from people, to work out what she wants to keep, and the rest will go in the yard sale that Antrum is having. She comes across a magical fountain, and her igni go completely crazy and start hurting her by screeching in her head. She utters the words “some days, I wish I weren’t the Great Scala.” Myla thought she was alone but Bedlem, the demon-titan of chaos is behind it, and takes her words and twists them to his gain and tells her that he’s going to grant her wish since she said it in front of a magical fountain. He’ll stop if Myla agrees to be his wife. She declines of course. Moments later Myla returns to her teenage years at Purgatory High.

Meaning she has no husband, no child and zero power over her igni since she wished them away. Since Myla never became the Great Scala, all quasis’ are under Armageddon’s rule. It completely sucks. Myla runs into her best friend Cissy, but Cissy doesn’t remember her from her world but Myla had been busy writing letters to Cissy to come with Myla when she escapes. Myla’s still an arena fighter but she finds out that she was built in a lab and her DNA pieced together from the best arena fighters from the past. Myla doesn’t even have a name she’s prisoner 412. Myla decides that they’ll head to Antrum to see her husband Lincoln and then they’ll be able to work together to take down Bedlam. I don’t know why Myla thinks it’ll be easy as that, considering how everything’s gone for them so far. Lincoln doesn’t know her at all, and he’s even married to someone else. He’s also a bit of an a*sehole. I loved how Myla still calls him on his sh*t, even though he’s completely different than her husband. Myla and Lincoln work together to stop Bedlam. I missed Walker during this book. I’m looking forward to seeing what adventure Myla and Lincoln have to face next. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.

********** Contains Spoilers**********

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I thought Kaps and Mack were amazing together. Kaps is completely bada*se and so is Mack, and I love how proud and protective they are of each other. They have each other’s back pretty much straight away, even though Mack had to go against his morals and k*dnap Kaps and deliver her to Gage the leader of the L’Griffe aka the shifter m*fia. He really doesn’t want to do it but he has to do it as the Zoetic (mostly human who track down and kill the Audax, a group of shapeshifting vampire-n*zis) are dying, and Gage may have information on where to find the Halycon coven, as they may be his last hope of helping those sick before the mysterious illness painfully kills them.

Kaps has been spending her time while on earth stealing back supernatural artifacts and getting in L’Griffe’s way so they’ve put a price on her head. What she’s really been doing is using the band as a front for tracking down artifacts and hunting down and ending the Audax who pose a threat to humanity. Her family all believe she’s completely flighty. I love that Mack could see the true Kaps, whereas her family have no idea who she really is. Both Kaps and Mack are used to working alone so it’s shocking but nice to know that someone has your back completely. Yes, I know they’re trying to protect her, especially after thinking Kaps twin Zin was dead but I think they’re going about it completely wrong.

I’m usually completely team Tempest and Portia but I really wanted to throat punch them a lot during this book lol. Wow, there were a few twists during this book that I wasn’t expecting, especially where the Zoetic are concerned. At least Kaps had her Grand M in her corner and that she completely believes that she’s on the right path, and even helps her escape Portia’s magic that’s stopping Kaps leaving, with the help of her igni. It’s good to see that Myla’s still her powerful kicka*se self. I’m looking forward to reading the conclusion of Kaps and Mack’s story next. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.

Or she hunts down antiquities - and steals them! Which is her prime reason for the tour places I wonder?
We know something about Kaps from her sister's book - see the list below of the books in order. She has a rock band - and seems not to turn up when expected to sing . But it seems - from this story - that she has something else going on too - something she has been doing since she was really young - treasure hunting. And being a dragon she hoards! All the old and magic and apparently lost items she finds, she hides away in a room only she knows the location of. And always has.
There's just one small problem - the items she wants, she has to steal, and other people want to stop that from happening.
So this book concentrates on her stealing for her horde and the rock band gets little mention - which I did think was a shame, as her story was so bound up with it. But the rock band it seems is just a cover for her other activities.
Her sister Huntress, is really concerned for her though, as she is getting into deep water, with her parents who want to lock her up so she is protected and safe, and with the people she is stealing from. We learn more about huntress - the last Glass dragon, in the next book in the series.
I would have liked a longer story line and a little more complexity but then I am not really the main audience for this series - for its intended audience I think it works.

** spoiler alert ** I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley and in exchange am giving an honest review. 3.5-4stars.

It is a part of the Offspring Series by Christina Bauer and has the same characters that were introduced in the previous books. I was excited going into this ARC having just read the previous two books (Zinna and Rhodes) and seeing the sneak peak at Kaps in the back. I was intrigued to know more about an artifact hunting dragon shifter - treasure quests - YES Please, Hot Guy on the Dance Floor - Sign me up twice!

So when I started reading and had that preconceived idea turned on its head a little - it took me time to adjust and get into the new rhythm being set. I still enjoyed where Kaps was leading the story, I just wasn't really prepared for Nazi vampires and a secret viglianti. It was good to get inside Kap's head and see how she was dealing with her trauma and splitting herself to be what other people expected. I really enjoyed Mack as a character and the tension between the two of them made me want to scream at the book when it just kept teasing. The ending did what all these books do - it made me want the next one. I get so absorbed into these books and speed through them, they are always an enjoyable read for me.

I love the character of Kaps from other stories. Christina Bauer took what we already knew of Kaps and added a whole lot more. Some of which I suspected because it is Kaps and it made sense. The tough part I figured for Bauer would be to find a mate for Kaps, but Bauer seemed to do that with ease. I love Mack with Kaps.

Mack is a force unto himself. Mack with Kaps is phenomenal. He is so good for her. He is supportive and lets her do her own thing which is huge. Mack saw her from the very beginning. He believes in her even when her own twin doubts her - which by the way made me not like her anymore. Just saying.

There is a lot of action in this book. I remember reading not too long ago that writing a fight scene is hard. Take note: Bauer kicks butt. It is awesome. Plus she throws in snarky one-liners Buffy style. Love it!

Kaps into her own in this book. The journey is fun and worth it. Bauer makes it an adventure, mystery, and a sneaky romance all in one. Kaps is part of a series, but she can be read as a standalone. If you have started the series yet, that is okay. Start here.

I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.

Kaps’ family thinks that she travels in a rock and roll band while collecting magical relics. Well … she does do that, but it is just a cover for what she is passionate about … fighting the Audax. And what is the Audax … why they are shape-shifting vampire Nazis. Others collect supernatural artifacts too and during one of Kaps forays to the human realm, she gets noticed and a price is put on her head. The human bounty hunter knows about shifters and he is well trained to go after his quarry. Will Kaps be able to get away from the people who wish to harm her?

Kaps is the fifth book in the Angelbound Offspring series. This series is also a spinoff of another series and readers who have been following these characters will love the cameo appearances of many Angelbound staples. Although this is not a one and done type of book, readers who begin with this book will have an easy time following the plot, yet they may feel the need to go back to the beginning. Of course, there is a lot of action and just as much romantic tension spread across these pages. It is a fun, short read and would be a good escape at the beach, pool, or while someone else is driving.

I just love getting back to the world of Myla and Lincoln. Aaand while no book can beat the Angebound -that is sheer perfection, I still like to read all the new mischieve they get into. :)

They seem to be a magnet for trouble. Myla and Lincoln are married and have a little toddler, on top of that they are King and Queen of Atrium.

When evil demon Bedlam starts to make trouble, they go investigate and fight him. It's never that easy. He comes to their home and attacks. Myla is a bit over everything, she has a lot on her plate, and it's late and speak the word: "Some days, I wish I weren't the Great Scala" near the wishing fountain.

Her wish is granted. She is transported back to purgatory, back to her high school. But it's not the same as she remembers. Because she wasn't the great scala, Armageddon is in charge, she has no igni and Lincoln is married, just not to her.

It's a fast pace, easy to read story. And while it took me a little to get into it, in the end, I liked reading it. :)

Quasi Redux (Angelbound Origins #8) by Christina Bauer
Publisher: Monster House Books
Genre: Sci Fi & Fantasy | Teens & YA
Release Date: October 12, 2020

Quasi Redux is the eighth book in the Angelbound Origins series by Christina Bauer. I have not read the previous books in the series and that made it a little difficult to get into the story. The beginning of the book feels like you are walking into a scene that was mid-point at the end of the previous book. The author does start to provide backstory and context, but it was a little confusing at first.

The storyline was fascinating, once I got through the beginning. I like how to story is told from Mya and Lincoln's perspectives. The character development was good and the story was interesting.

I would definitely recommend starting with the first book in the series to get the most from this book.

I'm so grateful to Christina Bauer, Monster House Books, and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.

KAPS takes us on a wild adventure of bounty hunting, vampire and demon slaying, talks with the Great M, and finding true rhana. I mean love. Rhana . . . Love . . . You'll have to read the book to understand this language.

I have waited quite a while for this particular installment to the Angelbound Offspring series. Not even joking, if I were a dragon shifter and in a kickass band, I would be Kaps. In another life though. I'm too reserved to actually be her, but I want to be her. Does that make sense . . .

Kaps has to be my new favorite character in the Angelbound world. Don't get me wrong. Myla is still the queen and I love her. Just look at the cover and tell me Kaps is not badass. Because she is and I love her.

I want to thank Xpresso Tours and Monster House Books for the opportunity to be part of this book's release to the world. I received a complimentary copy of this book for my participation in this blog tour. This is my honest, voluntary review.

We got to meet Kaps already in the previous books, and if there is one thing you learned about her is that she is mischevious (in a good way), stubborn and says the things she wants to.

And now the book evolvoing around her - it is still the same style and it was great to get back into the world of dragon shifters and more :)
Especially now with the Great M in the place, Kaps found herself the perfect counterpart and her potential rhana.

If you've loved the Angelbound series before, then you are also going to love Kaps' story. It is again well written, captivating and provides a good dose of adventure, love and some dragonshifters :)

For me personally though I lost a bit of interest in the overall story - probably because it goes on for quite some time. I still do love the worldbuilding, the characters - but I guess I have to take a bit of a break and dive back into it once I crave some dragon-shifter badass stories :)

Confession time! I was actually pretty hesitant to start this book, yeah I know...

Kaps in the previous books was all over the place and not in a good way.
This book though brought it all together in a very devious, sneaky and absolutely Kaps' way :D
There really was much more going on than she let us believe! Mack is a great character and I really can't wait to read more about him and find out who he really is! Oh oh oh and Huntress, yeah, I'm so ready for that inside story! OMG!

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and all in all, I really enjoyed it. It was a fun and easy read, great when you don't have a lot of time and you don't want to deal with heavy stuff but still in a world you know and love (not to mention the best demon hunter/great scala popping in with igni screaming at her all the time :D).

Having enjoyed the Angelbound series by this author I was looking forward to reading some of the Angelbound offspring. This is the first of them that I have read even though It is number 5 in the series. It was easy to read even without reading any of the others and still contains the things I loved from this author. Strong female characters, men who recognise this, a bit of fantasy and plenty of sass. Kaps is a Dragon shifter who hunts nazi vampires, With a touch of the hoarder when it comes to magical objects. Her family has no idea about her true life and think she is somevscrew up who needs protecting. With encouragement from the great M (hello again Myla) She teams up with the human vampire Hunter Mack. Only problem is he sees the real her and loves it, and she may have just become the first dragon to be bonded to a human. Looking forward to reading on in Mack.

Angelbound is one of my all-time favorite books and The Angelbound Offspring is very close behind. :)

It's one of those worlds I can get enough. It's very well set up and with each book, we discover more of it. It there was 100 more books in the series, I would read them all. :)

Kaps is a dragon shifter princess, has a rock band as a cover & devotes all of her time to killing Audax. She also likes to collect magical relics, to help her kill some vampires. And with that, she gets in a way of shifter mafia. The boss hires Mack to capture her. Mack is a vigilante and has no issues hunting her down until they kiss. :)

It's one of those books that you can put down. I read it in one sitting, it's very intense, also one of my all-time fav tropes. :)

Another great book in the series. I didn't think I'd like this book as much as I did. I was not a Kaps fan, so my expectations were low. God was I wrong these two characters were great. Kaps is nothing like in the previous books. She was smart and loyal and she could kick some ass.
Mac was open, honest and loyal in return. There is something special about Mac. They make a great team. Oh and Huntress is getting a book with Gage exciting, that was an interesting turn of events.

I can't believe I have caught up with the series and now I have to wait for the conclusion to their story.

Sometimes a character gets a brand new chance to tell their story. This is that chance for Kaps! I have not been a super big fan of hers to this point but DANG. It was by design on the part of the author!

Bounty hunting? Vampire Nazis? Rock music? Demons? LOVE?! Come on. Get reading! This series is so good!

I always enjoy this author; however, she had done a little to good of a job making me dislike Kaps. However, since I like the world and the other characters I decided to read this one. Once again, she doesn't disappoint. I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next.

Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for my eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was so excited this book released and it was the adventure I was hoping for! I'm also happy that Myla makes a couple of appearances as well. The next generation is great but I love the original series. This book can easily be read out of order from the others as Kaps did a great job keeping her family out of all her business. Fast paced, with lots of action.

The 5th book in the Angelbound Offspring series did not disappoint. I was almost devastated to reach the end of this wonderful series, before I realised that a 6th book is due in December of this year. I will be waiting patiently till then!!!

this was a lot of fun to read, I love getting to know Kaps as we were introduced to her siste Zinnia. Ms. Bauer is always able to make reading her books fun and I'm glad that Kaps book was just as fun.
