I think this book earned it's 4 star rating, I think it was well written by Richard Fox & Scott Moon. It had well described scenes that you could easily imagine you were there. The action was fairly thick and fast paced as you would expect from this genre. Sure there were a couple of plot holes but what story doesn't have those, none of them were major or easy to forgive unless you are some kind of plot hole troll.
I listened to the audible version of these books and it was well narrated by Luke Daniels. I do have a bit of a gripe with Luke and that is he uses the same voices again and again for different characters in different books. It's not much of a gripe as I imagine it's tough to come up with different voices over and over again, I know I can't do that, props if you can. Like I said not much of a gripe and I like Luke as a narrator.
The content was interesting, the plot was decent and well written in my opinion. If I owned a paperback or hardback copy of these books I'd happily reread them further down the track. A great pair of books.
