When you go to the trouble of legitimately buying a ship for your illegitimate smuggling operation, and that ship turns out to be stolen from a powerful weapons dealer… well, you might figure the universe hates you. But not Jack Tressler, an aspiring smuggler; he's used to taking misfortune in stride.
Given the choice to die—or get an ill-fitting cybernetic eye and join a crew of thieves on a crazy heist—he opts for the unpleasant modification. After all, it's just another day in the life.
With rabid pirates, ruthless corporations, and a scorned former employer all vying for the same bounty, Jack and his new friends will need all their wits and snark to survive until their next meal in this farcical space opera adventure.

I have always loved science fiction--books, movies, shows and games. If it involves outer space, even better!
Most of my writing is character-driven, which traces back to my time as a Psych major in college. I love to blend science and fantasy, especially when it comes to metaphysical abilities.
As a full-time author, I currently live in Portland, Oregon, with my husband. When I’m not writing, I enjoy travel, wine tasting, binge-watching TV series, and playing epic strategy board games.
The book is slapstick but she adds a human dimension into all the adventures.
The chuckles are well earned and there is no pretense that this is a more serious book. She thinks out the action and the crazy plot and then goes to town with all the license she can fit into one volume.
omg this was like an old Jerry Lewis movie plot, made totally in the future!!! the characters are fun to get to know! And you root for the underdogs the whole way .There seems to be two separate adventures in this story,so you get a bonus!!! Everything is slapstick funny!
I am not the Spaceballs comedic science fiction plan, so it is hard for me to judge. But, when the plot, the characters, and story are interesting and make you laugh, along with being well-written, leaving you not wanting to put it down, that's a 5 star read.
