Among these were many who supported the Second Bank of the United States which Jackson crushed. These men had profited as they sold our nation’s financial control to the bankers of England. In response three men from town will plan the murder of a president to re-establish a new Federal bank. Along with this history are further tales of the tunnels, opium, the history of the man who engineered the economic cycles of our country, northern secession, and other stories of famous people, inventions, and events from Salem that helped shape our nation.
