This makes the letters and words more recognizable to younger readers. The typeface is also large and well-spaced which adds to reading and viewing ease. Each page has a simple format with the text placed on the left-hand side in front of a solid, pale background. The right-hand side of each page is an up-close, full-color photograph of a spider with the physical characteristic or doing the action described in the text on the corresponding page. This is a nonfiction book about spiders written in Spanish and English. It is a book my sister is using to teach a rainforest unit to her Spanish speaking kindergarten class. I would use it in my future classroom. The pictures of spiders were graphic and realistic, kinda gross if you don't like insects.

It describes what spiders are, what they look like, and where they live. It has easy read text and colorful photographs for young readers. Non-fiction.
