After this night, dawn can't come fast enough.

For Ben Vecchio, everything has changed. His eyes. His diet. His new aversion to sunlight. But after a long sojourn in China, Ben realizes that the world he left behind hasn't changed as much as he feared. He wants to leave his old life in the past, but there's one job remaining that just won't leave him alone.

Radu's mystery is too interesting—and too profitable—to ignore. The problem? Taking on this commission puts Ben in the path of his old partner, the one woman he's spent years avoiding.

Tenzin has been following Ben at a distance, hoping his ire might wane, but when he heads to Romania, her patience runs out. Ben is a new power in their world, and more than one vampire will be eager to test him.

Ben and Tenzin need to work together if they want to find the truth behind Radu, his mysterious clan, and the treasure at the heart of the Dawn Caravan. One last job, then it's finished between them.

OH MY...I can't put the words I want there, so let's get to the review.
Holy FABULOUSNESS! Hunter is a master story teller, her ability to weave emotions, darkness, light, extremes and calm are unmatched.
Ben is off to his "last job" with Tenzin, but as usual with Ben & Tenzin things are not as simple as they seem. There is tension, anger, hurt, confusion, love, 'feelings'...and Tenzin's New Years Resolutions. As the intrigue escalates, we can only hope that our team will find the root of discourse and save the day.
I was so happy to see familiar names, Brigid, Chloe, Gio, B, Sadia and Gavin (i have such a spot for Gavin) in this latest adventure. We are right there for the roller coaster that is "BenZin", the intrigue, the puzzle solving, and ALL THAT TENSION. Hunter brings her readers further into her world, while exposing them to new beliefs, cultures and landscapes. This is what I love about her book, what I adore about her worlds - we LEARN, we are challenged, and we explore right along with Ben & Tenzin.

I was more than happy to get an early
Copy of this book and here is my honest review!

Where to even start!?! This book was everything I didn’t know I needed. Ben and Tenzin’s story has not been and easy one, but there have been many cherished moments throughout their tumultuous tale that I will cherish forever.

This story has all of the action and sweet sweet tension that we have come to love in our benzin books. The history that Elizabeth has woven into this story is rich and enlightening. I rather enjoyed the look at the Caravan lifestyle and found myself wishing I could spend a few months immersed in it myself.

As usual we have an ancient missing artifact that someone has requested the dynamic duo to retrieve, but this time, where the last book left off, we aren’t sure that the dream team is up to it. There are so many questions at the start of this book that my heart was just yearning for some answers. And I hail Ms. Hunter because at a time when real life was just overwhelmingly heart wrenching, escaping into this book reminded me that life can be hopeful too. That life is complicated and complex, that being angry can happen simultaneously with loving others in the same breath.

I really don’t want to spoil anything about this story. I don’t want to say what moments made me smile and what made me tear up. I don’t want to tell you who we see in this story or how once again she masterfully writes the best long game around. What I will tell you is that if you love Benzin as much as I do, DO NOT MISS THIS BOOK! It 100% didn’t disappoint. Thank you again Elizabeth for another epic adventure.

It is always darkest before the Dawn....

Shadows and Gold, it is always Shadows and Gold with Ben and Tenzin.
Wow, another absolutely fantastic book from Ms Hunter, and I was so lucky to be able to read an advanced copy of this book.
Another instalment of the ever popular "Benzin", a treasure hunting adventure that is action packed, emotionally fueled and bursting with intrigue and hidden meanings.
Ms Hunter truely has a remarkable way of writing real people... The Golden knight becomes less shiney as life muddies up his armour, the Dark Queen starts coming out of the Shadows as love starts warming her heart.... Shadows and Gold, it is always Shadows and Gold with Ben and Tenzin.
No hero or heroine is pure good or evil, right or wrong, life is all shades of grey and actions can be interpreted in some many different ways if you only knew the real motivation behind them.
There's no polished happy ending, real people have real issues and that is why these characters are so amazing to read about, they are believable and relatable. It is hard not to picture your self in these characters shoes... What would you do for the one you love?
Wonderfully paced, I kept turning the page because I just wanted to know what happens next?? I was not disappointed as each chapter was as good as the previous one.
I throughly enjoyed every word of this book and I can not wait for the next book.
I highly recommend Dawn Caravan... And every book by Elizabeth Hunter
Enjoy.

This is a must read series for all paranormal romance lovers.

My review won’t come as close to how fantastic this book is.

„All things have root and branches. Every being has their end and their beginning”

If you haven’t read the other books then read no further. This cannot be read as a standalone.

Two years have passed since Ben was turned and he has every right to be angry for what happened to him however everyone, all his friends and family see it differently. He receives a note that it is time to read his mail, so he does. He has found something to occupy his time. However there is more than meets the eye.

I have always had a soft spot for Ben and I absolutely adore him. He has a lot to work through and it isn’t that easy but Brigid (how I love Brigid) is there to help him through it. She experienced something familiar. I personally had wished he’d gotten over it sooner.

Although Tiny has been keeping tabs on Ben she hasn’t really seen him in two years, things are about to change though. Tiny is one of my favourite heroines of all time. I particularly liked the New Year’s resolutions she was trying to live by. To truly change and adapt. But she is territorial and sneaky there is no beating that.

I have never denied my obsession with Ms. Hunter’s books and characters and over time her penmanship has developed that it is hard to not be biased when it comes to what she writes. I would read her shopping list if I got the opportunity.

Here once again I must say it is no different, fantastic story weaving, a detailed world of culture, treasures and the vampire world just make this a perfect read. Reading about Ben & Tiny is like coming home. Being around all of the characters feels like spending time with friends.

Throughout the book I smiled, laughed, cried and was frustrated that Benzin weren’t going to make it. I have been rooting for these two for years now. But I got everything I wanted and more. But 2021 is so far away.

The Elemental Legacy series builds upon the very beginning which is Elemental Mysteries and then the Elemental World.  I would classify Elemental Mysteries and Elemental Legacy as urban fantasy as they deal with one couple primarily, whereas Elemental World is more paranormal romance with a different couple or character in each book.

You could read just Elemental Legacy but being the OCD reader I am, I would start with Mysteries, then World, then Legacy.   If that's too much, you could probably just do Mysteries,  the Bronze Blade,  and then Legacy,  or possibly just Bronze Blade and then Legacy.  But I would really just read them all as they are great!
I hardly know where to begin other than to say Elemental Legacy series is an urban fantasy series you need to read in order.  I am going to mention some events from the previous books which are major spoilers so be warned!

Ben and Tenzin have always been close and worked together as business partners in an antique location and reclamation service.  There has been a will they or won't they feel in the more recent books and the elephant in the story of whether Ben will become a vampire.  In Dawn Caravan, those questions were answered in the last book,  Night's Reckoning. So where do Ben and Tenzin go from here?

Ben is now a vampire and not happy with Tenzin.  There is one job they had which now needs to be finished.  So they will work the job, and then he won't have to see her again.  Yeah, right.

The job is exciting and a bit dangerous. Luckily, Tenzin has a history of knowledge and knows people. Ben has great instincts and works well with people.  They really are a great team.

Tenzin has been very patient with Ben and his anger.  I get it. I understand both their feelings and respect them.  At some point, one has to move forward and live in the present.  I really believe Tenzin has grown but she is still herself. I'm proud of how she supported Ben's emotional journey with calm acceptance.  I got a little tired of Ben's focusing on the same thing for so long. They have a connection and need each other.

I am so excited to see where things go forward with the new overall story possibilities and mysteries to solve.  I enjoyed seeing many old friends from the whole Elemental World here.

Sublime!!!

This book took me through such a range of emotions! It was such an immensely emotional journey! I ached so much for Ben I wanted him to find his happiness with Tenzin and I wasn't sure if that was going to happen. It's always heartbreaking watching a character you love struggle so this was sometimes a hard book to read. Elizabeth Hunter is a master at putting together words that make you feel so very deeply. This entire series is amazing!

I was fortunate to receive an early ARC! I loved this book from the first page to the last. So much action, adventure, mystery ,intrigue and TENSION! a lot of pent up TENSION! It's been a few years since we heard from Ben and Tenzen. Ben is dealing with so many new emotions with how to accept who he is to who he was. Also his anger with Tenzen. Ben has so many people supporting and helping him understand he is still the man he was. But I have to say that the relationship that I loved the most was Ben and Sadia's. She is everything to Ben. When Ben gets an offer of a new job he thought he was done with Tenzen. But guess who is there, you got it Tenzen. When something valuable goes missing in Radu's Caravan, it's up to Ben and Tenzen to figure out who stole it. One would think it would be a simple job but When You have Tenzen, its never going to go as planned. Especially if the job has treasure and shiny objects. I absolutely love how Elizabeth can incorporate all the conflicting emotions between two vampires while including all the mystery and intrigue.

Review:
It's my favourite time of year! A new Elemental Legacy book! And oh how I loved this book so much. I haven't just been waiting for this book since November 26, 2019. I've been waiting for this since before the first book came out. Since before the first novella came out. It did not disappoint.

I loved absolutely everything about this book. I know I'm biased because I'm in love with this series, these characters, and this author. But it was just perfect. The flow of the story, which is not anything I ever talk about, was just so smooth. It was like I wasn't even reading at all. I just existed in another place for too short a time.

If you haven't read this series before, I cannot recommend it enough. And everything else by the author, as well. I also don't recommend you read past this.

Ah, my poor precious Benjamin. After the events of the last book and his subsequent turning from human to vampire, my silly boy is just so, so angry. His emotions are all over the place. But my Benjamin is alive. It is beautiful, and I love it. Him. I love him so much. My heart was pulling in so many directions all book. And so was his.

And what better way to get over himself than to throw himself into a new case? Though, he wasn't really given much choice in the matter. The vampire Radu, who came to Benjamin and Tenzin for a job a while ago now, has run out of time. He is missing something and it is vital he gets it back. But something is odd about the case.

Tenzin, who I adore in every way, shape, and form, has inserted herself on the case. Which makes Benjamin so angry because he feels so betrayed by her. But Tenzin has changed. As much as she can change at least. God I love this woman. She is still herself, but even better. I can't explain it, because it is perfection as it is already written.

Benjamin, hating Tenzin for what she did, and Tenzin...being herself. Being a herself who is more awesome. Is there anything better? Especially because you know these two fools can't live without each other.

I loved this book. Everything worked out exactly how I wanted it to. I'm so filled with joy. Also I'm going to cry when this series is over. Which, unless something has changed, will be with the next book.

I received an early copy and I couldn’t be more excited for you all to read it! I have been in quite a book funk during this whole lockdown saga but this was just the book I needed. I am always happy to have an Elemental Series book land in my hands. I would say this story had a slightly different underlying emotion to what I’ve come to know from this series. A little darker, a little broodier. Without giving away anything, it’s the continuation of the journey from Night’s Reckoning. We learn so much more of the nature of Ben and Tenzin in this story and it makes you feel like you’ve come home to a group of your best friends. There is the usual mystery element to the story, which is a real good one! There’s Gavin and Chloe and the wonderful Sadia. That kid is so cool. I donmt want to give anything away, I just want to say that it was a dream to fall back into this world, make sure you add it to your list!

Benzin is back! Starting with Midnight Labyrinth then Blood Apprentice and Nights Reckoning and now to Dawn Caravan. This is the 4th book in this 5 book Benzin Saga and it was everything we love about this couple.
I have loved reading about Ben and Tenzin’s adventures, watching Ben grow up, seeing Tenzin’s evolution and all the friendship, fights, and...TENSION!
This book has a lot of tension and intrigue. It’s a very entertaining book with mysteries to be unfolded and more to come.
One mystery that I am obsessed with is: the Love Birds! They have popped up in BA and NR. When will Ben meet them? Why are they “his” birds? What will it be like when he finally does meet them?
This is my honest review for receiving an ARC. Elizabeth Hunter is still my favorite living author. She does not disappoint.

Diving back into these books is one of my most favourite pastimes. Dawn Caravan was no different. We have the Quick Witt and usual banter between Ben and Tenzin.
I think that the last book is what everyone was waiting for but I truly feel this is the book I was waiting for. So many feelings and issues between this amazing pair of characters. My heart is full from reading this.
I love sadia she is such an amazing little girl. The interactions between her and Ben are so sweet.
I don’t want to give anything away and everything I want to really say will spoil so I’m just going with, another amazing read from the Elemental Legacy Series.

If you love Ben and Tenzin then you will love love love this book! There is so much emotion, history and chemistry between these two, it just crackles! Elizabeth Hunter thank you for your writing genius and the characters you make seem like living beings! I love the banter and the humour! I loved getting lost in this book!

Ben, oh Ben

Two years after he has been turned, Ben is still full of anger from having the choice taken away from him. And even though all his friends and most of his family are glad that he is still alive and let him know that they would have made the same decision to save him, he still feels conflicted about becoming the very thing he fought so hard against. And then there is Tenzin…

Thanks to Tenzin Ben has a very lenient sire, so after he has learned to manage his hunger, he is free to pursue his own interests. During all this time he has tried to distance himself from Tenzin, but of course he cannot resist a last treasure hunt that leads him all over Europe. As it turns out, that treasure hunt was only an audition for a much bigger job: finding and recovering an artifact of cultural significance and it doesn’t help that Tenzin is among the suspected thieves.

Once again Ben and Tenzin are not only searching for an invaluable treasure, but deeply embroiled in vampire politics. And the longer they work together, the more Ben comes to realize that he won’t be able to hold on to his grudge. But it’s not until things come to a head and Ben is faced with the possibility of having lost Tenzin forever that he recognizes that he can’t bear to be in the world without her…

I really love this book when we finally see Ben and Tenzin working out their not insubstantial differences and becoming the couple that the previous books hinted at. With the major stumbling block in their relationship out of the way, it almost felt like the conclusion to their story, so I am all the more glad that there is going to be one more book featuring two of my favorite characters of the Elemental world!

Dawn Caravan by Elizabeth Hunter
Elemental Legacy Series

I am voluntarily reviewing this ARC.

We meet Ben and Tenzin in the very first book of the Elemental series. Ben is the adopted human “nephew” of the infamous vampire, Giovanni Vecchio. He is just a boy when he enters this strange and fascinating world, and is introduced to a miriad of character’s who become his mentors and eventually, friends. Tenzin takes an immediate interest in Ben which is unusual because this ancient vampire is very exclusive in who she lets into her life. Ben becomes her pupil, her best friend, and once he’s grown, her business partner. He makes it abundantly clear, that although he loves the world that he is privileged to be a part of, he has no desire to ever become a vampire. When he is near fatally injured, Tenzin decides she can’t lose Ben and takes him to her sire, one of the most ancient vampires in existence. That leads us to this book, and his journey to understand his new life, make piece with it, forgive Tenzin, and move on with his business and new life. Ben and Tenzin have been in this complicated relationship filled with combustible chemistry and the purest of love, so this story was a long time coming and it was so fulfilling! Elizabeth Hunter facilitated what my heart needed for these two. Both are such beautiful character’s, so different but so honest and pure. I don’t think my heart could have waited another minute for their love to be explored. This was such a great book! This series is so full of mystery and romance and complex, beautiful characters. I’ve loved every one!

Great book.

I really do love the benzin series. This book summed up a lot of questions and anticipation. The book gets a 4, because it was really really well done just like all of the books are. I just have a lot of questions I want answered still, mainly the 2 years that were missed. I can't wait to read the next book I'm super sad I have to wait so long to read it though.

A perfect addition to the Benzin story!

So, I loved it, I really did.

So much vulnerability. I love seeing the softer side of Tenzin, the introduction of new characters and old ones. I must admit that I was annoyed with Ben for the most part, but I had to remind myself that he is just a young emotional young man in his twenties, who feels that his freedom was taken from him and that I can understand. I am glad that he’s coming past all of this and that they are opening up to each other!

I can’t wait to start reading Sadia’s books and additional books for Chloe and Gavin, I’m also looking forward to Rene’s.

Let the Adventure Continue!

Thank you Madam Hunter, you haven’t disappointed once, thank you!

“Dawn Caravan,” is an incredibly read... and a long time coming. We have witnessed the growth and evolution, from a young, street-smart boy to an intelligent and honorable man, that is Benjamin Vecchio. It has been a beautiful emotional roller coaster. And being able to travel this final journey alongside with him, has been amazing... made even more so, with Tenzin. I can not praise this novel enough... I absolutely loved it!

In Elizabeth's acknowledgements at the end of this book, I feel like she explained it perfectly. This story was going to be a difficult follow up to such a violent and emotional ending that was Nights Reckoning, but she nailed it! My heart is soothed.

Oh, my Benjamin!

I really, really enjoyed this book. It was the balm to Night's Reckoning (which destroyed my heart) that I think we all needed.

**spoilery**

In equal parts, I wanted to hug and slap Ben. Even after a couple years and, basically, mastering this vampire game - he's hurt, angry, lost. When he was talking to Gio about how his instincts were telling him to FIGHT Gio, but he loves and cares for him, and beautiful, understanding Gio says he feels it too but it takes time to overcome that. Ben's worried he won't feel at home in his childhood home and that breaks my heart. But when Ben is told by literally everyone (Gio, Tenzin, Sadia, Chloe, Gavin, Brigid, Isadora) that holding on to his anger towards life and Tenzin is stupid and he needs to move on, AND HE AGREES, he still falls back into that angry pattern - I wanted to slap him! Ben really does need to see Anne.

I also wish that the Icon/goblet mystery had a little more weight to it. It was interesting, but it felt a little underdeveloped and it didn't have the same impact as some of the other intrigues going on. When it was time to wrap up, Rene 'deus ex machina' DuPont suddenly knew where ALL the goblets were and how to get them, easy peasy. Where's THAT story? It's possible Ben never figured it out because he had a raging boner the entire book. Poor kid.

But I've said it before a thousand times, and I'll say it again here, Ms. Hunter GETS characters. Ben is growing, Tenzin is evolving, etc. But I can still recognize them in the text and when you have such a large cast of characters, it's impressive that they are all so unique even after growing over time. Although, the real star of this book has to be Sadia - adorable, somehow wise yet innocent, and has everyone wrapped around her tiny fingers.

HIGHLY recommend this book. And I CANNOT WAIT until Spring 2021 when the next one comes out.

I was expecting this to be another good story but this turned out to be a little more than good. I was so happy to meet so many new characters who may be seen again in the future. The new setting and the chance to get information on another way of life that is not often spoken about. There is always a bit of a history lesson as well as lessons on other cultures in every book that makes it even more than just a paranormal story. I love the adventure and the relationships between everyone, which we get more of here.

Everything has changed for Ben since his time on the China Sea. His eyes, diet, and new aversion to sunlight to name but a few. He finally realizes that the world he left behind hasn't changed, only the way he sees things has changed. And though he wants to turn his back on hi s old life and the people who have always been there for him, there is one job still on the books that he has to complete.

Radu has a job with a mystery so interesting and profitable that Ben cannot refuse it. The only downside is that it puts him squarely in the path of Tenzin who has managed to avoid for the past two years.

I started off reading this and being mad at Ben for acting like he got kidnapped and dragged into the vampire world against his will when he pretty much pushed his way in. But it was not just him and I guess it was to be expected. This book got to me on an emotional level for much of it because it felt for a while like the family was falling apart. I was very happy to hear from some characters who had not been seen or heard for a long time, which made me hope for more of this in the future. I also found myself crying along the way, tells you the writing was exceptional. This was the best one yet!

Elizabeth Hunter the exceptionally talented wordsmith has once again surpassed our expectations in this Elemental Legacy “Benzin” book.
It has a stronger element which is to be expected after the way the previous book - Nights Reckoning ended. Ben is adapting his life to becoming the vampire he never wanted to be & Tenzin is trying to give him space whilst coming to terms with her own emotional situation. Both of them are in an uncharacteristic place & need to find the best way to continue to work together if they are actually able to given the recent history.
The Dawn Caravan is an actual thing rather than an artefact & has many facets that add to the mystery. I loved that familiar & well loved characters from the previous books feature again. Sadie was a surprising treasure who lifted the heart when she was interacting.
I can not recommend this book enough & I've read it twice to ensure there was nothing I’d missed the first time. It is also the kind of book that leaves you bereft once it is finished & thinking about the different plots within its pages. If you’ve read the rest of this series you’ll be buying it anyway & if this is new to you go back to the first book so that you can experience the enjoyment that is “Benzin”.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC & my review is an honest one without giving away any “spoilers”. I’m now going to be waiting on the next book which is always the way with this extraordinary author.

Having now read Crimson Oath I had to read this book again.
With the amazing storyline in Crimson Oath this book becomes even more brilliant with the intertwining plot and is so much more than I’d originally thought

(4.5 stars) Ride-Or-Die Bae

Elizabeth Hunter’s “Dawn Caravan” takes place subsequent to the agony-to-extasy-to-ugly-cry of “Night’s Reckoning.” As the book opens, Tenzin is in the wind, (pun intended), and Ben is finding his new self. As in previous books of the Elemental Legacies series, there are mysteries and shenanigans afoot that call for the unique talents of Team Benzin. However, I found “Dawn Caravan” to be lighter on mysteries and heavier on relationships.

As the story progresses, so does the mending of hearts all around. Family and friends play a significant role in helping Ben to find his way back to himself, but can they help him find his way back to Tenzin? Will Tenzin be able to heal enough of her scarred soul to truly let Ben in?

Take away from “Dawn Caravan”? Even through confusion, frustration and hurt feelings, Ben and Tenzin are still, yet and always “ride or die.” This latest offering from Ms. Hunter was a truly enjoyable read. After my ugly-cry hangover post “Night’s Reckoning,” it was good to get back to some classic Benzin banter.

I had an opportunity to read an ARC of “Dawn Caravan” in exchange for an honest review.

Hmmm. The best thing about this book, beyond being an amazing story? There’s another one on the way!!!🎉🎉🎉❤️❤️❤️❣️❣️❣️

Seriously, there are twists and turns, and highs and lows, but the core of these two is balance. And balance is what they lost in Night’s Reckoning. Perhaps because they were hunting openly and with permission, but the contrast of vampire and human and the tightrope Ben loved to walk between the two as his particular strength was severed, like his spine.

In Dawn Caravan, Ben is still struggling with his sense of worth and place. I cried, for them both, as they navigated the shoals of their previous relationship. But growth doesn’t come in comfort because something has to change to grow.

Terrific. Book. There are novellas that precede the four books. There is a series that came before those novellas, so there are weeks, if not months of reading ahead of you, should you wish to explore this world of elemental masters. But, so rewarding!

A New Dawn, A New Day

Still a fabulous read! So much brokenness. So much healing. Such sadness, such joy.

Another perfect read the second time around. I love the angst aspect of this one. My review below still stands.

I love this series and these characters. Elizabeth Hunter has written another great book for the Elemental Legacy series. We resume two years later after Night's Reckoning. Ben has some time to adjust to his new status but he carries a lot of anger with him that is directed at his partner, Tenzin. Tenzin, on the other hand, is not sorry for changing Ben and is stalking him. She is waiting for Ben to get over his anger. They decide to take on one last job before they dissolve their partnership. Action, mystery, intrigue, and romance ensues. The writing and characters pulled me in and made it very difficult to put this book down. This book and the series are winners and I highly recommend them.

This book was such a pleasure to read. I savoured it instead of rushing through as usual. It was delightful new world of Romani human/vampire traveling tribe that requires Ben and Tenzin’s help.
While I don’t wish to spoil the adventure part of the plot I have to say this book was equally about Ben and Tenzin growing and finding their new place in the world and their partnership. As always Tenzin is hilariously honest, patiently waiting for Ben to find his place and forgiveness.
Author introduced us to so many new and intriguing characters I can’t wait to find out more about them (hopefully in the future books). I have a feeling that the last book in Elemental Legacy series is going to be amazing 👏

5+ Stars!!! Another amazing book from Elizabeth Hunter!

I love EH's work! I've been a fan for many years now and love all of her books but this one was a long time coming. The slow burn and tension leading up to this book was frustrating but so worth the wait. As with all of EH's work, this book was so well written, with rich details, such imaginative world building and character development. Her characters live and learn and evolve. No spoilers here but if you are a Benzin fan, you are going to LOVE Dawn Caravan. And if you aren't familiar with Benzin, I suggest you start from the beginning with A Hidden Fire, Elemental Mysteries series and then continue with the Elemental Legacy series. So worth it! And I can't wait for Book #5 - Spring 2021!

There are really two aspects of this book to review, and while I know most people only care about one, for me, the book as a whole involves both equally.

OK, first, the part everyone cares about: relationships. Things were actually wrapped up well. This is a good conclusion to a plot that has been growing for several books. Side note: everyone should have a Brigid in their lives! She was a godsend to Ben, and he tried to listen and internalize what she said, just as Tenzin tried hard working on her New Year's resolutions for Chloe. Unrealistic? Sure, but we're talking about a vampire world here, so you have to let some things go, right?!

Second part, and I'm sure no one really cares: the plot! I mean, these guys have to be doing something other than working on their feelings, right? And this was not as strong. It's actually a really interesting set up, but the author really doesn't develop it much and uses some quick and easy moves to bring things to a close, which I don't like. The whole final scene with Radu's folks is just silly.

I walked away from the book happy, but not thrilled or blown away. Fans of this series should absolutely read this one; it's just not perfect.

Another amazing read by Elizabeth Hunter! First, let me say that I am in the minority when it comes to Ben and Tenzin. I am not a Benzin shipper. So, I am not getting into that part of the book. However, I was crying a few times. But I also laughed and sat at the edge of my seat. There is so much going on in this book that it's hard to talk about it without giving anything away. There is plenty of action, lots of tension, and more than just a treasure hunt. Why? Because there is more than just one plot. All in all, it will keep you on the edge of your seat as well. What did I like best? I thoroughly enjoyed the very emotional family reunion. Keep a box of tissue ready. And I learned a lot more about the Romani. Do yourself a favor and read this book (after you read the first three in this series). You won't regret it. Highly recommended! Though I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of this book, I will buy the print edition for my collection.
