This was such a hard book to read because I wanted so bad to just jump to the end. It's hard to be patient when you know something big is going to happen, and boy did something big happen! One more domino has fallen, and one more step closer to the end of the series.
Even after all that has been accomplished by the end of book 16, the author still manages to introduce a new character that just ramped up the story. We got so many questions answered but new ones popped up. That's the beauty of this series and why it has stayed so good throughout so many books.
I'd love to say more, but in no way do I want to spoil anything. I'm just going to say that Fever had a very satisfying step forward while also leaving many more things still to be addressed. I'm looking forward to book 17!

It seems that Donna Grant has no signs of stopping! With the Dark Kings series, she has created elaborate worlds and interesting characters. But because this series is so long now and has been created initially as a spin-off, I do think that it has started to feel a little repetitive.
However, since I am a fan of this world and writing style, I feel like I can still get on board with some of it. I just worry that because the same style is used so often that readers may feel like its getting repetitive. Perhaps its just me but I can definitely pick up on the same tropes, etc that are used by the author.
Nevertheless, I do enjoy the world. The characters tend to have a softer focus about them, which is why I think her heroes tend to stand out for me. In a genre that is rife with alpha males, Grant creates heroes that are alpha in their own personal way.

Fever was a dragon book that I needed but never knew I actually did. It was such a fun book to dive into. It didn't matter that I went rogue throughout this series because Donna is such a great writer! I, of course, will definitely stop slacking and pick up myself off the ground and dive into the whole entire series. One day.
In this book, you will meet a crap ton of amazing characters. I feel like each one that we meet just makes the entire book, no series, that much better!! The romance was everything that my eyes could handle - even if I want to eat up way more of it. Ugh, SO MUCH MORE!!!
I don't think I've ever yelled at an ARC before.. or my phone (unless it was a game.. god dammit those cooking games!) but definitely did this time around. So much happened that I'm surprised I didn't piss off anyone around me.
Overall, definitely need to finish this series out and fall back in love with characters!!

Finally yes finally this series moves forward and the person we have all wanted to step up and shine does . Yes I know this book is about Kelton and Bernadette but honestly for this reader it’s as much about Rhi and her Dragon King ( who is glaringly obvious !) because they are the couple I really want to read about. Still in order for all that to happen Kelton has to meet Bernadette so what can I say about that ?
Kelton is the Dragon King who has never wanted a Mate of his own and yes he’s happy for those Kings who have found love but honestly he sees it as a weakness. When he’s sent to find out if a newsworthy anthropologist has any proof that Dragons are real he gets an awful shock because not only is Bernadette stunning but she’s connected the dots about recent events involving the Kings living at Dreagan !
Bernadette doesn’t quite know why but she has a driving passion to research and expose the truth about the Dragons. Meeting Kelton just solidifies everything she’s been told because yes Bernadette has had insider information from someone who is an enemy of the Dragon Kings. Bernadette is drawn to Dreagan and and there she finds not only answers but something more important, she finds that she can trust Kelton . The attraction is mutual but Bernadette is in danger from the very person who has been drip feeding her information .
Fans of this series have been impatiently waiting for the Light Fae Queen to finally show her true colours because we all know Usaeil should really be called Ubitch ! We have been tantalised with snippets of what happened between Rhi and her Dragon King and even steered slightly in the wrong direction with Balladyn . Now with Bernadette playing into the Queens hands it all goes down with an epic battle . I did feel that perhaps too much was rehashed as Kelton brought Bernadette up to speed but that’s a minor niggle . This book sees the end of an era but leaves the reader wondering what will happen next because the events that take place leave the Fae in chaos but surely from chaos a new order will rise !

OMG. OMG. OMG. YOU GUYS.
THIS BOOK WAS E V E R Y T H I N G!!
Donna Grant has delivered yet another phenomenal story here in the sixteenth instalment to her Dark Kings Series, Fever. It was one hell of an emotional rollercoaster ride of a read that left me absolutely speechless with all that occurred - from the memorable and sizzling romance, to the heart-stopping suspense; when I wasn't swooning with adoration, or on the edge of my seat fuelled with adrenaline, I was gasping in shock, screaming in denial, or fuming with frustration.
And at one point... I was even crying my eyes out.
(If you've read this book, then you'll probably know which bit I'm talking about. If you haven't... brace yourself.)
Dr. Bernadette Davies claims to have proof that not only do dragons exist, but that they reside and are connected to Dreagan Industries. Given that this claim hits a little too close to home for these Dragon Kings to simply ignore, Keltan is tasked with travelling to Glasgow to attend this lecture of Bernadette's discovery, and investigate what it is she knows, how much she knows, and how it is she came to know such a claim in the first place. It should be a simple task, but it's there that Keltan finds more than he'd bargained for... in more ways than one.
And as always with a Donna Grant novel, there're many subplots dotted throughout that further not just the book, but the series storyline that's been growing and growing for years now. So, not only does this story focus on Bernadette and Keltan and their romance together, but we also have a few chapters told from Rhi, Henry, Erith, and Usaeil's perspective too, and boy do those chapters only make this story all the more thrilling.
My reason for the 4.5 Stars though, is that for the first 20% of this novel, we get a half-detailed recollection of all that has previously taken place in this series. Now, I myself have not read this entire series yet - I've only read Heat, Dragonfire, Ignite, and now Fever (along with a few of the Reaper novellas, which're connected to this series) - but I am very much caught up on the important details of this world and what is currently and has previously been going on in it. So for me, getting that recollection did nothing other than have me feeling bored and disconnected to this story at first, as I wasn't getting anything new that was really grasping at my attention to devour this book.
But that is just my own opinion, and is the only flaw I found in this otherwise flawless novel. Other than that, I cannot speak highly enough of this heart-racer, heart-breaker, and tear-jerker of a story that really takes this series storyline to a whole new level.
With unexpected plot twists and overall shocking moments that really keeps the reader hooked, Fever is a fast-paced, action-packed story of discovery, love, hate, and closure that you won't want to put down once you've started reading it, especially if you're a fan of this series. And with that open ending and the promise of more to come - because what an ending that was; especially the build-up to it and all that happened in the last 70% of this story - I am now very excited to get my hands on the next novel of this series, Flame.

My first fantasy romance book! Heck it's my first fantasy/sci fi book that isn't Doctor Who, Neil Gaiman, or JRR Tolkien. I have never read anything along this line, but I enjoyed it (probably an understatement to just say "enjoyed")! I mean I really enjoyed it!! I will admit that I usually steer clear of this genre, but I am so glad that I gave this one a go! It has opened my eyes to a whole slew of stories that I have not indulged in. I did jump in without having read any of the previous books, however it didn't leave me confused. I am going to have to check out other books in the series for sure. Read it!

Now that we are down to 2.5 books to go to find out who Rhi king is...Even though the Queen is eliminated it still leaves us to wonder who are the Others....Will Balladyn be a Reaper?..And is Bernadette related to the others?...Will Rhi turn dark or will her Dragon king come to the rescue and they will reunite..Until the next book....

When a respected anthropologist takes a sharp left turn to become a cryptozoologist, something fishy is going on. Bernadette Davies spent her life's work focusing on ancient times. Her research is sound. So when she switches to preach about "dragons are among us", she loses quite a bit of credibility. She even gives up a lush lifestyle to fund her fanatism. Most of these folklore hunters are disregarded as quacks. Bernadette is a bit different because she possesses solid research skills and is able to piece together a daunting picture. Luckily for her, Kelton is the Dragon King sent to see if she is a danger or not. Unfortunately for Kelton, Bernadette is a danger.
This tale pulls me in by showing how even smart people can be conned and pulled into something against their will. Bernadette's dive into the mythical world is more of a push and shove in by an unsavoury queen with her own agenda. As often it happens, cult followers like Bernadette tend to be just collateral damage. Ms. Grant explores how a person can be so tangled up and the difficulties of extracting themselves from the craziness. Bernadette's case is a bit more extreme with curses, magic and dragons.
As with the other books in this series, the focus is a Dragon King finding their mate who happens not to be a dragon. Kelton struggles with the acceptance of a human mate. We are able to see from Kelton's eyes how horrid humans have been to the dragons of this world. Seeing his perspective, I am not sure why the dragons have anything to do with humans. Nor do I ken their steadfast desire to protect humans. Humans broke faith and trust. Why would the Dragon Kings continue to honour a treaty which has been violated, stomped on and shredded at every turn? It makes no sense to me and nothing Ms. Grant has presented to date convinces me why the humans should remain in this realm.
Despite all of this, Kelton falls for Bernadette. Their romance is fast building with sweetness. The dynamic between them is smooth and it is clear they are a good match. Bernadette's understanding and empathy is what moves Kelton most. Bernadette may have been hoodwinked by the dark side, but she quickly rallies and chooses the light side. She does this even if she knows that it will cost her and she must sacrifice her mind to keep the Dragons safe. I admire her idealist morals. I also admire how she accepts the consequences of her actions, regardless of her being led astray by another. She is not a too stupid to live female. She is one who is logical and ethical. This appeals to Kelton because these are two traits he works hard to possess through the centuries.
Whilst this romance is going on, two other subplots continue to move forward. The bloody thirsty light fae queen is still working on her goal to enslave all, especially the male she wants. A little bit more is revealed about a covert group of cross species determined to destroy the Dragon Kings. There is still no exact motive and whilst I liked learning a bit more, I'm frustrated at how slow the plot is moving. It does still keep me hooked and I want to read the next book to see what else will happen. What more will be revealed of the conspiracy?
This paranormal romance is a great addition to this dragon series. The is book recommended to fantasy romance reader who love dragons and damsels who can save themselves.

Book 16? I think it is in the Dark King series, Fever felt a little like a transition book. Grant spent the first handful of chapters catching everyone up on what’s been happening with this current story arc, and yes it’s a lot, while introducing Bernadette and Keltan, this story’s main couple. However, everyone from the Reapers, Dark and Light Fae, to the Dragon Kings and their mates had a moment-or more-and that’s when the story REALLY started taking off in directions that left me thinking “I wasn’t expecting that/I didn’t see this coming/I can’t believe that just happened!”
All I can say is if you’ve been wanting to jump into the Dark King world, Fever would be the perfect book to start with! There’s plenty of information to catch you up on where things stand now before delving into an jam-packed story and then giving teasers into the next arc. Who wouldn’t want to spend a few hours with these amazing dragons?!

Another great Dragon King novel. Bernadette...never trust the UB!tch. I love how willing she was to go with Kelton and trust him.
There's so much, but I don't want to give anything away...someone is found, there's a battle and people die (but where are the bodies), and who is this mysterious Melissse.
What I didn't like, again don't wanna say to much, but really Bernadette, I don't agree with your reason.

I received this book as one of Donna Grant's ARC Angels. This is my view and what I thought about the book, it is in no way a bought review. If you are a first time reader to the Dark Kings, I suggest you stop and go read the first book in the series Darkest Flame. This can be a stand alone but you will not understand everything that is going on.
We are on book 16 of a wild ride and this book promised greatness and it delivered!! Sexy dragon shifters, smart women, good fae, bad fae, wars, fighting, death and unanswered questions. Ubitch, oh how I loved her fate!
Y'all, this book is amazing! Donna wraps up some story lines and leaves some new ones. I was SHOOK! This book is about Keltan and Bernadette but it is also about so much more. Donna Grant is wrapping up this series and she is doing it in a fashion that is going to blow your minds. She is great story teller and Fever will pull you in and make you scream, yell, cry and fall in love with the Kings.
Bernadette has knowledge that she is trying to share with the world about dragons and what is going on at Dreagan. We are on book 16 of a wild ride and this book promised greatness and it delivered!! Sexy dragon shifters, smart women, good fae, bad fae, wars, fighting, death and unanswered questions. Ubitch, oh how I loved her fate!
Y'all, this book is amazing! Donna wraps up some story lines and leaves some new ones. I was SHOOK! This book is about Keltan and Bernadette but it is also about so much more. Donna Grant is wrapping up this series and she is doing it in a fashion that is going to blow your minds. She is great story teller and Fever will pull you in and make you scream, yell, cry and fall in love with the Kings.

The Light Fae Queen came to Bernadette and convinced her that dragons exist and need to be brought to the public's attention. So for over a year Bernadette has been telling people about dragons and how she has proof they exist. She's been looking into Dreagan Industries who she suspects are all dragons so she confronts Kelton, one of the owners of the business. He knows she's being used by the Fae Queen and knows that she might have proof of their existence so he opens up to her and tells her the truth about himself.
Kelton tells Bernadette everything but she knows that's only because he plans on erasing her memories before she leaves so he has no reason not to tell her the truth. I found that a little sad but I understood why she couldn't be allowed to remember anything. Dragons have been in hiding from humans for thousands of years and they know that humans would try to kill or experiment on them if they knew about them. I really liked watching Kelton and Bernadette get to know each other with no secrets between them.
Then there's the crazy Fae queen manipulating Bernadette for her own uses and the huge danger and fight that brought about in the story. There's a missing Dragon King, a crazy Fae queen who's been lying about a lot of stuff for a very long time. Kelton and Bernadette are staying together and getting closer while danger is looming just over the horizon. There were a lot of interesting secondary characters that I have more questions about and hope to see them in upcoming books but Rhi was by far the most interesting secondary character that I want to know more about and want to see again. She is going to be something else but I don't know what and I want to know what kept talking to her or who. It was strange that she kept hearing a voice but I have no idea who it was. I want to know more.

Whew now that that's over! Who doesn't love Donna Grant and her books?!? She is a brilliant author and builds a paranormal world like a beast! However as much as I love her books and storytelling, the Dragon Kings series has run its course! To me it's just a continuous cycle of fighting the big baddie Usaiel and a dragon king finding his mate. Wash rinse and repeat. Imo the storyline is stalled and needs a conclusion and a breath of fresh air breathed in to it. Fever was a good book and I enjoyed reading it but it didn't leave me satisfied or with the knowledge that I'll read the next book. This is book 16 people!!! Wrap this story up already! I'd love to read a Hea for Constantine and Rhi, I'd love to see the dragons return home, but at this point I'm tired of reading the same old same with the ending never in sight! I like how the book ended, simultaneously ending and furthering story arcs, though we really need Rhi’s book soon. I could have done without the 3 chapters of recap, and without the TSTL heroine moment (she ordered delivery? Really?). But it was a fun read otherwise.

With such an overwhelming number of 5 star reviews already, I had a hard time giving this book only 2. But I honestly only thought it was okay. Which is really kind of sad considering how good some of the previous ones were. This is book 16 in the series (not counting all the novellas), and at this point, people should not be jumping into it here. So giving almost 30% of this book to nothing but retelling all of the dragon's history again was beyond tedious. I know. I've been reading about it for almost 20 books now. We maybe get around 7% of some real action and a great story, and that was near the end. I was also really bored with Keltan and Bernadette as a couple. We're told of how pure and beautiful their love is, but I really didn't see it. And by the end I didn't even want to read either of their points of view because all they each could think about was going back to the other. And Keltan was the middle of a fucking war!! Ugh. Yeah, I'd like a man who thought about me so much, but he shouldn't be such damn sap about it.
Usaeil is up to her usual scheming again and this time she's using Bernadette. Since meeting Usaeil and being shown "proof" of dragons, Bernadette has given up the life she worked so hard for in order to do research and to try and convince others that Dreagan is truly home to dragons. She has indeed done her homework well and of course has come to the attention of the Kings. >>As a side note, after what her proof is is mentioned, we never hear about it again. I'd really have liked her to say something the Kings and see if it was real or not.<<
Keltan is sent to attend one of Bernadette's lectures in order to find out what she knows and what could possibly be her proof. What he hears has him very worried, but he still doesn't know what her proof could be. Keltan is man enough to admit that he finds Bernadette attractive, but he has been against finding a mate for a very long time and doesn't want it to ever happen to him. Too bad he can't help but want to keep Bernadette at Dreagan when she shows up the next day.
It's taken a year, but Bernadette has finally figured out that Usaeil has been using her and now she wants the real truth. Where better to get it than where the dragons are? She's surprised at how easily they let her in and actually tell her their story. Even after she figures out why, she's still okay with it. Doesn't hurt that she feels completely at ease when she's with Keltan. But Usaeil is not done with her yet, and the longer she stays at Dreagan the sicker she gets. It doesn't take long to learn what Usaeil has done to her either. And she's not even finished.
Aside from Keltan and Bernadette's boring romance, we get VERY little of anything else. Everyone is gearing up for the confrontation against the light. Even though Erith will not let them fight, even her Reapers want to take part. But the most frustrating thing was Con. There were times it was hard to tell if he was there willingly or not. For being such an important part of this whole thing, Rhi was glaringly absent for so much of this story.
As for this epic battle against Usaeil, I was very disappointed. How many books have we been leading up to this? How long has this been building and building and building? And that's how it ends? Really? Maybe I just expected more, but I thought it would have been way more exciting than this. Though there was one thing that shocked me. Something that might have an okay outcome maybe in the future.
At the end we're left to worry a lot about Rhi. She won't listen to anybody and has seemingly stopped fighting the darkness. Which won't be a good thing for anybody. We also find out that Bernadette is probably some special snowflake and that just really pissed me off. I hate that cliche. We are introduced to somebody new, who going forward I believe will be important. Especially where Henry is concerned.
So while this one was definitely not one of my favorites in this series, I'm still looking forward to the next. And like many others I've noticed, I'm hoping we get our conclusion sooner rather than later. Because really, how long can this go on and how many new people are we supposed to remember?

Where the heck have I been? I mean, I'm a total PNR lover and I'm ashamed to admit that I have absolutely no idea who this author is (don't worry, I've already been shamed by my book friends). To be honest, the only reason I even picked up this book was because of the cover and the fact it was all about Dragons. And then I find out it's like....the 100th book in the series (not really, totally exaggerated)!! I have A LOT of catching up to do. Geez.... Ok, so considering I had no idea that this was a book WAY in to the series, I think I was able to follow along pretty well. The author did a good job of providing a brief enough synopsis that I was still engrossed with the story.
I know I'm going to butcher the back story, but here goes nothing....
The Dragon Kings have lived among humans for ever, but recently their existence has been compromised when a video was leaked showing a battle between the Dragons and Fae. A researcher, Bernadette, has dedicated the last year of her life trying to find more evidence that Dragons really do exist. And now that she's giving a lecture on the matter, the Kings need to step in to make sure she doesn't cause more trouble for them.
It turns out that there's a reason Bernadette has been so obsessed with Dragons. And now that she knows why, she'll do anything to help the Dragons keep their identity a secret. But with Dark and Light Fae fighting each other and a self proclaimed queen out for revenge, it's not as easy as it sounds. In fact, it's down right impossible, right?
Again, I HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE FROM THE PREVIOUS BOOKS, and man, this was STILL awesome!!!! If you're a lover of anything paranormal or fantasy, buckle up and enjoy this ride. In fact, I'm off to catch up on all of the others I missed out on.

This is my first read by author; Donna Grant. This novel is #16 in the series, "Dark Kings" however in my opinion without knowing this was #16 in a series, it could easily be a stand alone novel. I'm officially a HUGE fan of Donna Grant. The author did an excellent job in her writing and catching the reader up on everything and everyone in the first part of the novel and it went from there. The chemistry with the two main characters was extremely HOT! Their story was just in the WOW factor! I totally LOVED this novel! It had romance, suspense, emotional, action-packed and DRAGONS!!! Who doesn't love a great novel with hot Scottish alpha males that are able to shift into dragons?!?!?! My Oh My!!!! I HIGHLY recommend this novel and I'm going to say series even though I haven't read the first 15 novels yet BUT I plan on it!!!

Starting a new Dark Kings book is always a little nerve-wracking for me. As a long time fan of the series, I'm always a little anxious that the newest book won't live up to my expectations. The thing of it is, even when they don't meet my initial expectation, they tend to surpass it in some other way. Such was the case with this book. Keltan is the dragon that does not want a mate, insistent that they make dragons weaker, so I was really looking forward to seeing his fall in this story. He fell, yes, but the relationship between him and Bernadette wasn't what I was expecting. Less raging fire and more flickering candle. That's not to say I didn't care for their relationship. It was somehow slow-burn given the brief amount of time the couple was together. Ultimately, I think they're the perfect match for one another and I was impressed by the heroine's determination to proceed with caution.
So why am I giving the book five stars? The answer is simple-this book delivered on so much more than a romance. SO MUCH MORE! As a reader, I loved seeing long-time plots play out. The anticipation of wondering which direction the battle between the Fae and the Dragon Kings would play out was delicious. It was all I could do not to skip ahead. I was thrilled to see Rhi front and center, and then devastated for her because of all she's had to shoulder. For years, she has been my favorite character and this book just upped my respect for her. I'm still dying to know the identity of her King. Just when I think I may have figured it out, I find myself second-guessing. It's frustrating in the very best way! I'm also still completely enamored of Constantine. His ability to play the long game, to remain in control of his emotional responses, and to always look out for those he considers family, is why he will always be my favorite Dragon King. He truly is the King of Kings! Lastly, the author has managed to introduce a new character that has really set things spinning in the series, ensuring that the story will continue to move forward in equally familiar and fresh new ways. I'm on pins and needles about this new character's role! So many questions and I am looking forward to the answers.
Five stars-absolutely yes! I'd give it more if I could. If you're a long time fan, prepare for some surprises. If you're new to the series, don't let the fact that this is book sixteen in the series deter you from picking it up. FEVER is an intriguing continuation of the Dark Kings series, which brings some major overall plot points to a head. I feel like I have been waiting for this book for a long time! Notably, while this is the sixteenth book in the series, if you are interested in picking up one of the later books, this is the one you should choose! Everything is recapped beautifully in this book, allowing a new reader to gather all the knowledge needed to enjoy the larger story arc.
While there is some romance between Kelton and Bernadette, a human who has been manipulated into trying to expose the dragons, the majority of the book, particularly the latter half, is devoted to the major storyline that spans the books in the war with Usaeil. I actually would have liked more Kelton and Bernadette, but I do appreciate finally getting some closure (and then a whole new plot to look forward to in coming books).
As many of the Dragon Kings have been, Kelton was convinced he would not find a mate, and so there is some nice push-and-pull as they question what they have. Now with Con missing the Dragon Kings are doing what they can to prepare for that they must do. The Kings are running out of time to give up Rhi. I was so tense for this showdown!
Despite all that is going on with the upcoming war, the Kings still must do what they can to hide their existence from humans. Keltan is the King sent to investigate a human that is holding a lecture trying to prove that dragons are real. Bernadette has spent the last year of her life totally devoted to outing the dragons. It's not until she is confronted with Keltan and the truth is revealed do the duo start working together for their part of the war.
Keltan did not want a mate, so he resists, but he can't deny his feelings for Bernadette. The upcoming war is going to test his feelings. I'm not too sure how I feel about where we leave this couple. It is not the HEA I would anticipate, but it creates questions on what could come next. It makes me question all the couples. The Others have been making plans for centuries. All that has been happening could be plans from the Others coming to fruition.
Fever had great action and I loved seeing how the war played out with the different factions. I am left dying to know of the fates of our favorite characters. This part of the war may be over but there is still so much more for the Dragon Kings to face. The combination of the war action and the love connection between Keltan and Bernadette was a great mix. The balance kept me reading and the surprises drew many moments of shock. Solid 3.5*. Fever by Donna Grant is book #16 in the Dragon King Series packed full of action, suspense and romance. I wish I had read the other books before starting this one as it took me quite a while to get caught up with all the names and characters and to get an overall gist of everything that was going on in the beginning- this made it kind of hard to get into the book at first. Once I got the hang of who everyone was then I started to really get into the book.
I'm 100% sure that if I had read the previous books, I would have been more invested in the characters and the outcomes bringing the book up to 4*. Unfortunately, because I had no idea what was going on for the first quarter of the book the experience for me was a bit different. I did really enjoy Keltan's character and his stubbornness. It was so frustrating and captivating at the same time. Bernadette was cute and you definitely cheer for her throughout the novel. Con was the one I was the most intrigued about even though he wasn't a main focus of the book. I'm really curious to see where his story heads.
Overall, I enjoyed Donna Grant's writing style- the only thing I didn't buy into was how quickly the and short lived the romance bits were... went from 0-60 in less than a second, which I understand sometimes needs to be done for the sake of keeping the book short.
Other than that, I recommend this book to those who have previously read some of the other Dragon King novels, or if you are looking for a quick romantic read with intriguing action.

Donna Grant has the uncanny ability to weave a story over more than a dozen books. She has kept the story fresh but builds upon the previous installment. I am so involved with these characters that I feel I am good friends with them. I have yelled at them and cried with them.
I have never liked a "Series" that has lasted more than 3 to 4 books but I am hooked on these Dragon Kings and will be there till the end.
She even has the ability to spin off of one story and twist you into another series. All intertwining with the other but each series has its own major plot line.
I would suggest you start at the beginning of the series and go from there. The beginning of this series actually starts in another series. Check out her website for the "reading order"

Anthropologist Bernadette Davies is about to reveal the truth about Dragons. She has found a way to link certain evidence together to try and prove her theory. Dragon King Kelton has been sent to find out what she knows. He doesn't expect the beauty before him nor the attraction. Kelton needs to find a way to gain Bernadette's trust but he does not quite realize that someone else is feeding Bernadette with a plan they are intent she follow that could destroy them all.
Another highly entertaining book from Donna Grant. There is so much to the book that it is impossible to delve into everything. Had several twists and turns and am looking forward to the next book takes us. I liked Kelton a lot, he has a ton of swagger and a perfect compliment to Bernadette.

Always a WILD ride with Grant's Paranormal world of Fae, Reapers, and of course my favorite the immortal DRAGON KINGS. Would suggest reading this series from the beginning but it could fly nicely as a stand alone. Human Bernadette Davies has had her career and life meddled with by the evil Queen Usaeil. Trying to ward off a dragon revealing by Davies; Dragon King Keltan is sent to a lecture given by her. And that is how the story starts but can only end with some romance. 4 STARS.......I loved everything this book had to offer, even the fact that the ending leaves you with more questions and wanting more. Mystery and intrigue, twists and turns, tears and cheers. Yes, there is a lot going on but I enjoyed every minute of it. The only thing that would make this better is the ability to listen to it. To hear that sexy Scottish accent of Kelton.....sigh.
I have to confess, I have not read every book in this series but I'm thinking I should. This is book 16 in the series and surprisingly, I wasn't lost in the story. This is an awesome Paranormal Romance must-read!

Good if a bit weak in parts
I expected so much more from this book and I am not going to say why because I would ruin things for readers waiting on certain events to happen or not happen. It was good but it could have been great.

Fever will show you a new fond love of dragons...dark and dangerous. I have read a few books in this series but after reading this book; I will be trying to catch up on these books. Forget about "mother of dragons". What about "men of dragons".
Kelton is the type of guy that you would not mind getting lost with. You could say that Bernadette's dreams came true when she met Kelton. Can we talk about the sec scenes...H-O-T! If I had been wearing eyeglasses, they would have been foggy with steam.
The first half kind of sets up the story with introductions and such. The latter half is where more of the "meat" of the story happens. Overall, I was happy with this book. Long live dragons.
