Rate this book
Triggers are ahead. Please read with mental health caution in mind. Can the love they both have for her put her broken spirit back together? When the ties of the past are so strong ... how do you find the courage to face the future? Violet thought she was done with Kane Long when he abandoned her. She was eighteen and had one glorious summer with him, experiencing every pleasure she’d ever imagined. But he left, and Violet had to deal with one tragedy after another. Now he’s back, with his best friend, claiming she’s theirs. Kane doesn’t understand that she’s not the perfect flower he once knew. She’d barely managed to put her life back together after she was brutalized by three monsters. There was no way she was going to allow any man in her bed again. They were used to battling and winning against all kinds of demons that roamed the earth. Warriors at heart, Kane, and Davis were comfortable conquering any problem they faced. But the biggest obstacle to Violet’s heart was her own broken spirit, and they’d do anything to heal her. One broken woman. Two adoring men. Somehow the love they have for each other would need to heal their wounds and protect them from the danger coming to destroy them.

This is my first time reading this author. This is a story that is heartbreaking and very emotional at times with the main female character Violet having been attacked and raped leaving her with a severe case of PTSD. Kane knew Violet years ago and can’t believe how she has changed but he and his friend Davis both love her, and both want to be with her. Violet has a lot to work through before she can trust any man again and these 2 men are wonderful characters who do whatever they need to in order to help her. This is a fairly short story but an intense, emotional one.

Enjoyed the story. Am not a fan of before and after chapters, but in this book it flows and does not take away from the story.
Violet suffers from PTSD from a brutal attack and rape(thank god it does not go into details).
Kane has loved her since she was 10 and lost her once. He refuses to loose her again.
Davis is Kane brother in arm and they will marry Violet together.
Read to see her journey to healing and love.

This was a truly heartbreaking story. Violet has dealt with so much and they have quite the battle to convince her that she is still someone who can be loved. The author wrote a beautiful story that was character-driven. The men were great as they navigated their way towards convincing her. She grew as a character as the story progressed. Good story.

It took me a couple of chapters to get into this story, then I was hooked. The characters and story are both so vivid and enhance each other perfectly. It was not the traditional HEA, it was better.
