The mischievous Princess Jules of Aggadorn has been pampered and protected her entire life. More than anything, she longs to experience challenges and adventure. But with her mother’s threat to marry her off hanging over her head, Jules fears she will never have the chance. All that changes when she’s kidnapped by pirates.
Forced to labor for her passage aboard Captain Jaymes’ vessel, Jules learns more about life than she bargained for. Captain Jaymes doesn’t fit Jules’ idea of a thieving buccaneer. Beneath his rough exterior lies a man of honor desperate to save his people from a murderous sorcerer. She never expects to fall in love with the handsome young captain or to involve herself in the pirates’ plight, much less have the power to save an entire kingdom.

This was a really fun book. I enjoyed the adventure and the cast of characters. It was clean and I can easily recommend this book to teenage readers and adults alike. I picked this one up on Kindle Unlimited and look forward to more by this author. (I didn't read the first book but I should!)
I loved it! Rich with adventure, love, and feisty take charge woman. Plus a hot pirate. What could go wrong and what more could you want! All packed in this delightful and enjoyable book.
This novel pulled me in from the beginning and the adventure kept going until the end. This is a smooth read. I didn't feel a moment was wasted. The main character, Jules starts off a bit immature, but she becomes a radiant, daring young women, determined to help those less fortunate. Some of my favorite parts consisted of all her run-ins with the pirate Captain Jaymes. The tension between them was perfect. A few misunderstandings between them kept the plot moving. The best part was the action packed scene in the middle of the novel, which I can't disclosure because of spoilers, but it was beautifully written. The descriptions were amazing and riveting. The writing is also clean and polished.
I recommend this novel for all those who love a beautiful, clean adventure on the high seas.
Real pirates are nasty people, so this is obviously a work of fiction, but it's a fun one. The princess is flighty and mischievous, but she has a brain and a kind heart. The pirate is strong and brave. The characters are likable and fun to read. The plot concentrates more on the light-hearted elements and less on the villain, but the only plot holes I found were minor enough to ignore in favor of the excellent writing.
Charming, easy romance with an interesting dash of magic and fantasy. A little too dependent on cliche at times but still a pleasant way to spend an afternoon
