You inherit a lot of things from your parents. Eye color, hair color, bits and snippets of your personality. Some things you want to inherit. Good looks, metabolism. Their vast fortune when they die. Unfortunately, there are those things you don't want to inherit. Diabetes, addictions. Your father's godly powers…
Trust me when I say to you, that last one is the worst. I would rather have ended up with my mother's ass. That, I might be able to control.
I thought things were calming down and getting back to normal. After a foray into the elven lands to rescue my friend from the nefarious clutches of the dark elves, I'd been looking forward to spending a nice quiet holiday in Cedar Falls with the people I love. Especially the guys. We deserved a break and some alone time. But I should have known better than that. Instead of Jingle Bells, spiked eggnog, and date nights, I'm faced with angry ghosts, rotten zombies, witch-hating locals, a pissed off vampire lord, and a partridge in a pear tree.
Now it's up to the witch to save Christmas, Yule, and the town. I would have been happy just keeping everyone from getting eaten by one thing or another, but since most (maybe all) of it was my fault…I might as well go for the Christmas miracle.

Sixth Sense is an adult novel intended for mature audiences only. It contains graphic language and sexual situations. 18+ readers only! This is a medium burn reverse harem where the girl gets all the guys. Why Choose?

This is a cumulative review of all the books in this series up until this one.

By this point, I am really annoyed with the heroine. Obviously, being a century-old has taught her no maturity or given her any common sense. At first, her 'quirks' were easy to ignore, but now, they grated me while I was reading.

The world-building was intriguing and had real potential. However, character development is certainly not this series' main suit. All the characters seem hollow and unreal. For example, the character's mother is bad-mouthed throughout the book. But, there is no real reason given for that. Or take the villain in this book, there is no indication or real reason for their nefarious designs.

So many times, the characters are described as so and so, but there is no real reason behind it. Even the actions, especially of the heroine, appears wooden. Her irrational jealousy and her unreasonable anger only ante up the drama level, not serve any real plot development or character development.

Many characters keep acting a certain way repeatedly. Like Dot, she keeps doing things out of jealousy and then apologizing. Or she is hurting those she loves and they keep forgiving her because everyone is in so 'love' with her (and I am not just talking about her paramours). Or take Bill (Chief), he keeps acting like a jerk and she keeps forgiving him.

Another thing that I didn't like about this series is convenient ethics the heroine seems to have. I don't mind a grey protagonist, but I do expect uniformity. The heroine is supposedly a kind, generous do-gooder with a huge amount of cash to burn. She is charming, protective and loving. But she has no problem burning up a rake, killing innocents, bring down entire buildings, letting her grandmother bring hell on earth (and then lying about it), waking up people-killing zombies and basically doing whatever she wants. And then she shudders to think that she is like her power-hungry, scary mom!

The humour got old quickly, the characters got annoying and world-building stalled! If I read the next book, it will solely be because of hours I have already invested in the series!

Spoilers ahead

At this point Dot is 60% idiot and 40% horny
I'm fed up of her doing dumb shit that causes hurt and then just being sorry after. Sorry doesn't mean shit if you repeat the actions over and over
The situation with Yuki being her familiar and an asexual being yet experiencing all Dot's pleasure during her sexual exploits is really grossing me out
Dot is starting to remind me of Anita in the latter books of that series, and that's really not a compliment
Chief 's actions here were another bone of contention for me, it seems he too does hurtful stuff and is forgiven with an I'm sorry and sex
Again the Dennis thing is a deal breaker for me, it's ok for her not to have sex with at least ONE available guy you know
This series started off as cute and fun but at this point I can't wait for it to be over

Book 6 of the Lovin' the Coven

I've not been able to put my kindle down with this series. I want to know how this series ends but I'll be sad to see it go. Its such an easy and entertaining read. Plenty of laughs and action and not to forget the spice 😉. Never a dull moment with good old Dot around 😂.

Ten stars!

This is the best series I’ve read in forever. I laugh inappropriately and my husband who is clueless as to the genre I read says “What’s so funny?” Well damn if I don’t have make a clean PG version of why I’m laughing. I love all the characters and the bad guys are truly bad. Thanks for the entertainment and can’t wait for the next book!

2.5⭐

This was.... not great for me. It was a huge reminder why I usually avoid long run book series.

There is so much actual content that could and SHOULD have been explained or expanded on and instead you get spicy scenes that are starting to feel like a broken record.

Book six also brought with it: new powers that Dot never uses or tries to understand, a new "boyfriend", new drama at the end🙄, a subpar witch hunt, a "war" with vampires, and a whole slew of characters YOU FORGET EXIST because they only make one appearance in the whole book.

Why bother having a harem so large if you only get to see the ever disappointing Chief? Seriously? He really shouldn't even be a romantic partner at this point. And he's in almost every chapter.

Also. I STILL have no idea what Dot is. Obviously she's a witch but her new powers and traits are a clusterfudge of epic confusion even at the best of times.

With one book left, it's no wonder it left a lot of readers wanting. There is so much going on and not nearly enough time to tie it all off. Especially if you keep giving half the page time to spicy scenes.

This is the end of my walk with the Coven. I should've stopped after book 5. I know better now.

Funny, hot and never a dull moment!

Love this series! I love the characters and the sleepy town they’ve found themselves in. Their personalities are so different and throughout each book they stay true to each character never blending with each other’s unique one. There is witty funny banter, bits of crass, love and don’t get me started on the heat! Such an adventurous witchy series that you just can’t put down! Loved it!

Trouble in Cedar Falls

Book six, with only one more book to go after this, I’m more than a little sad that we are coming to and end soon. I felt like this was a nice kind of change with this book. No missions for Dot and the gang to go on.
Things in Cedar Falls have gotten out of control. After the events of a previous book and some mysterious things going on around town, let’s just say the townsfolk have started to catch on, and of course not all of them are on board with a bunch of witches moving into town. Poor Dot is the one who catches most of the flack, and honestly it seems like there is more than one person who is behind all of her troubles.
I think this was the first time that Dot really stuck to her guns when Chief stepped in it once again, which I appreciated. I also liked that unlike other times when he has upset her, they really had a conversation about the issue. I liked the evolution of Dar and Shea, and I loved that Dar and Dot finally got to have a real moment to themselves.
Another thing I really loved about this book was the emphasis on Yuki. She has really settled into her new life with Dot, and in a lot of ways has discovered a lot of things about herself. Yuki comes under threat in this book, and like with everyone else, Dot is all about stepping up and getting things done in order to save Yuki. I think ultimately it kind of helped grow their relationship, they both really realize how important they are to each other and how their familiar status wasn’t something either of them were willing to part with.
I’m seriously bummed that the next book is going to be the end of the line for the series, but anything that involves a beginning with a unicorn seems like a good start.

Only 1 book left 😩

So this was another great addition to the saga of Dot and her coven. The necromancy aspect was interesting as well as the side plot of the DA trying to expose her as a witch. I knew the whistleblower plot would happen eventually, I’m just surprised it took as long as it did and didn’t have a much bigger role in this book. The ending battle in the graveyard was rather short but still pretty awesome to read, especially with her using her necromancy powers.

I said in the last review that I was happy that the MM interactions didn’t happen without Dot, and then this book happened 🙄 We find out that Shea and Dar is together even without Dot around. While I can understand the need to find companionship outside of Dot especially with her large harem of men (there’s only so much of the Dot-pie to go around) I did not expect it to be Dar. I just find it hard to believe that Dar, her loyal and protective familiar, is okay staying the night at Shea’s apartment with how exciting dot’s life has proven to be. I could see Shea and Jimmy being in a relationship together, just not Dar. Dennis has officially been added to the harem but he didn’t have much page time in this book. I felt as if Dennis and Jason were kind of ignored in this book. Chief, Dar, and Shea has plenty of page time, even Jimmy had a decent amount but Dennis and Jason seemed to have faded into the background.

There is only 1 book left and I can’t decide if I want to start it now to finish out the amazing adventures of Dot, or hold off and savor the ending.

This book was an improvement from the previous just because it was pretty consistent.

That being said, I still felt that way both the issue with the DA/witch hunt and Lord Abernathy, felt a bit rushed and incomplete. There has to be more than just a "fear of witches" for the witch hunt that both the Materos started and I felt that way Abernathy behaved in this book was off and we didn't really have a reason why. I mean, was it just because he wanted the ability to walk in the sun for himself? Then why did he planned on marrying Yuki off? If he wanted her abilities, wouldn't it had made more sense to take her and hide her, learn all her secrets and keep everything to himself?! Also, he already knew she was a witch's familiar, wouldn't that have made him think that it could have been a factor in her new abilities? If all of this is true, then none of his actions made sense! And we didn't really have enough time of him speaking to show his true motives. Although, how Dot finally fought back was pretty cool.

I still enjoyed the humor/banter and I really liked the little bits of her dad showing up. Would have liked to read more about the rest of the coven, especially with it being the holidays and having a get together but Im hoping that they will appear on the next book. :)

Good

I really like the over arching plot in this entire series, along with the individual plots that encompass each novel. I did have some questions about this one though, nothing to major thankfully. Dar... in the last one, the mating ceremony was a huge deal, but in this one, it was mentioned but consummation is had and they don’t talk about it? Ok. Dennis. I need more detail about that development, not a lengthy scene, but ?? It also felt like sooner of the guys are fading into the background a bit, though they are still important to the story. Last... how the heck can this be solved in just one more book?

Fantastic writing!!

This series never fails to make me cackle with laughter. The characters are so endearing in unique ways, I'm truly going to miss this when the series ends. There isn't a huge amount of development to the overall plot in this book, but we get loads of development in Dot's magic. It's rare that we get to see her vulnerable side as she struggles to contain her magic, but it makes her even more lovable.

Absolutely enjoyed this book!!!

What an ending!!! The Yule gift Jaeron gets Dot. He’s a keeper. Wished the battle with Yukis dad would’ve lasted a little longer and him getting kicked around a little. Can’t wait for the next book. Hopefully Dot will finally be able to save her dad or at least be well on her way too. Oh and the comedic scenes in this book I couldn’t stop laughing!!!

I didn’t finish this book. I was on board completely. Even dealing with her relationships and how loose they were. They all seemed to love her but nothing was really a deep connection. As soon as Dar and Shea were off on their own I was done. I get it’s unrealistic to believe they would only love her and not each other but they snuck off and she didn’t even blink. It felt like there were no rules or rhyme or reason to protect everyone in the relationship.

I am now obssessed with this author, after discovering her a week ago i have now devoured all her released books, and this series was WOW!

Full of humour, twists, Steam, action and adventure. With a Kicka** FMC who is strong, loyal, brave and slightly reckless.
With an ever expanding group of Loyal loving Men and awsome friends, even the side characters are full of life and humor.

I would highly recommend this series to anyone looking for PNR RH series, with great world building and all the feels.

Good Book

Sixth Sense continues Dot’s story and sees her dealing with the aftermath of the ending of the last book as well as a few other issues all over her first Christmas in Cedar Falls. As with the previous books I loved the banter between the characters, it always makes me smile and sometimes laugh. The story was good and I’m at the point now where I can’t wait to finish the series. Overall, a good read and I would recommend giving it a look.

The series is ridiculous, out of the world but it's very addicting. The suspense kept you going for more, the secret that they couldn't reveal makes you just wanna kick their assess. But it just keeps pushing your ass forward and continue the series.

And now? I'm dying to know what's the next adventure when they finally found a way to rescue her father.

Vampires and zombies

The story is interesting enough to keep going for the 7 seven series, but I will admit there are few mistakes, such as Dot has many boyfriends. Sometimes or for a certain period of time we don't see some of them. That's disappointing. Also, I was expecting more bonding time between Dar and Dot, but it's gotten overshadowed by Shea's relationship with them.

Way to much useless details about absolutly evrything, it must be filer to get a proper book page number, because if it was cut of, you wouldn't even get half that book.
If she cries one more time I'm gonna slap her.

I really liked this series. Although it is steamy throughout, it seemed like more on the slow burn side of the spectrum. I really did enjoy the plot and characters, I just wish there was more sex throughout.

warning do not read while drinking anything…

Or it is likely to come out of your nose. I found this book equal parts sexy and hilarious with some serious subplots and shenanigans that I’ve come to expect from Dot and her men, family and friends.
I highly recommend this series.
