On a planet in a far away galaxy Sarah battles with an arrogant emperor who wants her to be merely a breeder, while she wants to be his beloved empress.
The Zyrgin Warriors series has been so much fun. Zaar and Sarah were THE most unlikely couple, and yet just perfect for each other. The differences in Zyrgin and human culture always ensure great dialog and an interesting plot, but Sarah was so emotionally scarred by her enslavement by the raiders, and Zaar, as the Zyrgin supreme ruler, was arrogance incarnate. Yet both became just what the other needed. Marie Dry has written a truly excellent addition to her series.
An intriguing story of opposite attraction. Sarah is a broken woman who has suffered terribly. Zaar is the ruler of the universe. Although Sarah is very attracted to Zaar, she is not sure she can ever be what he wants from her: a mother to his children. Sarah's struggle to be free of her horrible past and Zaar's determination to help her succeed is what makes this story so memorable. Enjoy!
I have read all the books in the series and have enjoyed about half of them (the first, the one with the dr were the best to me) This one is by far the best in the series. I enjoyed both characters and the developing plot. There are some awkward transitions but I enjoyed it.
I have a new favorite Zyrgins warrior book! I've reread the first one several times, and I wondered how the author would manage the shift in scope from just Earth to the home planet of these unbeatable warriors, but it was great! I super recommend it.
PLENTY OF GOOD REVIEWS, BUT 5 CHAPTERS LATER AND I'M STILL NOT ENDEARED TO THE CHARACTERS, NOT EVEN ENOUGH TO WAIT FOR THE SLOW BURN TO START BUILDING.
Sarah has gone through some terrible things in her past, and although Zaar is of the opinion that the people who wronged her deserve the worst, he is at a loss as to how to “fix” her. Zaar thinks he is able to fix everything. He is THE Zyrgin after all. Hmmph! 🙂
Sarah and Zaar have so much to learn about each other. My favorite part about the Zyrgin Warriors series is where the Zyrgin warrior and the human woman must overcome vast cultural differences. Sometimes it is frustrating, sometimes it is funny. It is always entertaining.
Zaar says things like “walk a step behind me, you are my breeder, I am the ruler of all the know galaxies and soon to be ruler of the unknown galaxies.”
Sarah responds with, “no, call me parena (empress)”, and an eye roll.
It takes a bit to get them speaking the same language.
And then something terrible (danger) comes between Zaar and Sarah. Of course, there must be some peril to overcome – and a way for Zaar to prove that he is the ruler of all the know galaxies and soon to be ruler of the unknown galaxies. I love his arrogance, whether it is deserved or he is merely exaggerating his skills.
Between the escape from peril and the end of the book, Sarah was overly sentimental. Yes, it was probably in character for her, but it made the ending drag a bit.
The Zyrgin Warriors series is such a fun series. I recommend it for anyone that enjoys Scifi Romance with heart and humor. Alien Redeemed is great addition to that series!
Thanks to the author who provided a copy of her book in exchange for my honest review.
This was an absolutely wonderful reading experience. I have followed Marie Dry and her Zyrgin Warrior series since the first book. I loved Zaar and Sarah. They complemented each other and helped each other grow. So many different plot twists related to Aurelia, that horrible flower, the unknown galaxies, the Scar Warriors, Zorlof and more! A huge surprise for Sarah and Zaar's first child! Wow! I cannot wait for more in this series, truly! Five plus stars!! I will be rereading this one very soon! Don't hesitate to read Alien Redeemed. I think it would be a richer reading experience to start with first book just because each previous warrior's story adds to the overall series. Amazing to see how much human women can change their hardened warriors and it looks like an empire as well, all for the good! Kudos to the author! I really enjoyed this one! Thank you!
I think this book is the best in the series so far. I really like the world building and the Zyrgin warriors are fun to read. Zaar and Sarah are a great couple and I loved the interaction between them. There are some really intense moments in the book, but also humor woven through out that at times had me grinning and other times laughing out loud. I won't spoil it in this review, but you're gonna love the "expert" Zaar consults about human females. LOL You'll need to read this series from book 1 because there are characters from the different books woven into the story, which is something I so appreciate. We get to see and catch up with the characters we've gotten to know in previous books. Do yourself a favor and read this series.....you're gonna love it. :)
We finally get to read Sarah's story. Sarah suffered horribly on Earth. Because of a prophecy, the leader of the Zyrgins choses her as his breeder. I like how the story is not on Earth. It is on Zyrgin. Zaar is inventive to gain her trust. There are surprises and twists in the plot. Some I saw coming. One thing that happened, I had wonder if it would occur. It did. That is all I will say about it. I am no spoiler. There is action and violence. If you like the feast of the series, you will like this.
So amazing! I loved it! Hopefully more are coming!! Zaar was strong and powerful but still gentle and giving so Sarah could heal and grow closer to her warrior. This is so well written and I will be reading over and over. I love this whole series!!!
