This was another great story by Ashlee Price. She kept me enthralled so I had to keep reading to see what would happen next.

Leah and Gavin meet one night while she is a waitress at a private event. They have a passionate encounter which resulted in pregnancy. Fast forward a couple months and Leah enters an agreement with a group where she agrees to be a prize for someone. Gavin bids to take care of her during her pregnancy and after it for a time. Some strange things are happening, will they figure out what is going on before it’s too late?

Surprise Bidder by Ashlee Price
I enjoyed this story of Leah and Gavin. Leah goes to a party of rich men. She is supposed to be serving drinks but ends up losing her virginity to a man wearing a black suit and mask. When she leaves she does not know who the man is and ends up pregnant. With little money, she has decided to give the baby up. This has become one of my favorite books. There is some much happening in this story that it is so hard to put the book down. I love the way Ashlee Price weaves this story together, I can not wait to read more by Ashlee Price. There are plenty of twists and surprises in this original story. I liked Leah and Gavin but I have to say I really wasn't a fan of the plot of this book. It just didn't seem romantic to me and I honestly found it all quite contrived and for me anyway, off putting. The writing was good, paced well and filled with tension, turmoil and drama. For me though, this was only an ok read. This is my candid, elective review.

This story is so far fetched it deserves a one star rating. But I gave it 2 stars because I reserve single star ratings to authors who publish books with excessive grammatical and spelling errors. No character development. Immature storyline of life.

could have been good, but not for me.

I rarely rate less than 4 stars on a book I finish and I almost stopped reading this book a dozen times, I wish I’d stopped but it had good reviews and the idea of the story was interesting, I kept thinking it’d get better or I’d connect with the characters but I just couldn’t. I literally skipped the sex scenes towards the end, it was just weird, did not connect at all. Plus, he literally rapes her, I’ve never once said that about a book, and I’ve read books where people review that there was rape and I disagreed but this was 100% punishment rape and MC has to do it and happens to be turned on by it, both MCs even address what he did was wrong but that just ruined it for me I think so maybe this type of book isn’t for me. To be clear I love steam scenes, I’m not bothered by most steamy situations but that was ya a bit much. Also just felt predictable, rushed and kind of boring. Took me like 6 days to read and normally I’ll finish a great/good book in 1-2days max. I couldn’t connect with the writing style for whatever reason but someone else might love it.

As Leah Adams works her boring job as a waitress that she hates and spends more time in trouble; Leah’s best friend offers her the opportunity to work as a waitress at an elusive masquerade party catering to rich men. While at the party Leah is surprised at the audacity of some of the men especially when one tries to assault her. When a mysterious stranger comes to her rescue she is all but grateful and even gives him her virginity. After the party alone and now pregnant Leah has no place to go. Leah goes to a woman for help who holds secret auctions of women to rich privileged men. Leah is therefore sold to Gavin Scotfeld, a haughty elusive billionaire that makes Leah crave him especially with every illicit act he does to her. As Leah comes to know Gavin she can’t help but be attracted to him but there are secrets that could destroy the relationship. Will Leah tell Gavin who the baby’s father is and what will Gavin do when he learns the truth?
What a dark tantalizing erotically charged contemporary romance! The story for all of its naughty scenes will not only make you blush but giggle like a schoolgirl especially with some of the material discussed. Now this isn’t to be taken lightly especially if pregnant sex turns you off because there is a lot of it. In fact the whole book is mostly sex with a surprisingly good story. So if you can overlook all the sex and keep reading it’s hidden but there. There are also an abundance of plot twists that really don’t seem to help the story but make it a little stilted especially when all the deaths keep popping up. Sure it’s for shock value but it’s almost too much. Leah the defiant independent heroine isn’t too bad. Yes there are a lot of times you wonder at her intellect but then again you can forgive her due to being pregnant. Gavin the stoic harsh brooding hero isn’t really a winsome hero. There’s so much mystery and he seems quite cruel even though he tries not to be. That it’s hard to see the attraction or even like him because you get the feeling he’s just going to do a complete turnaround with his unstable behavior and do something horrid to Leah leaving you not to trust him in the end. Still it’s not a bad read and it’s hard not to finish the book even with everything that could be distasteful discussed.

Gavin Scotsfeld is a bored billionaire with his sex life or lack thereof. Leah is working at a restaurant with her friend Mandy as a waitress. Leah is a virgin who went to school on a gymnastics scholarship but she broke her wrist and after the second year there and not being able to keep up because her wrist did not heal enough to let her do gymnastics she was kicked out. Leah is a virgin, she never had been kissed or had sex or any of that type of thing because she had to do what was needed to do gymnastics and stay in school. Leah did not have anyone to fall back on her mother had passed of cancer and her father died in an auto accident and it took all her money to take care of his expenses. She decided to go to this party to be a waitress her friend Mandy said they would receive $500 for the night. They go and she meets this guy well actually she doesn't know who he is because they all wore masks but they felt drawn to each other. She was outside getting air and he was in the balcony talking on the phone and Leah could not keep his eyes off of him and him off of her. They end up meeting after a scuffle with another client that wanted Leah's attention. After fighting with this other man she ends up going into a bathroom and Gavin follows her in there with the express purpose of having her, not knowing she was a virgin. Leah decides to let him be the one to take her virginity. Leah finds out two months later that she is pregnant and she doesn't even know the name of the man from the party.....She goes to this agency that tells her that they could help her. She gets put up for auction and unbeknown to her she is bought by her baby daddy.... the story goes from there. There is drama, angst and even suspense, there is a happily ever after but the things both of them have to go through to get to it is a wild ride. Loved this story it is entertaining and easy reading.

Leah is a waitress and another waitress tells her if she works this rich party that she'll make five hundred in one night. She agrees because she needs the money however she had no clue what type of party it was. She meets Gavin at this party and they share an amazing night together. Now weeks later she learns that she's pregnant with his child but when her friend that got her into the party finds out that he is married and she was a fling she doesn't know what to do next. Her friends learns of a place she can go that'll take care of her however its like she jumps into yet another unknown experience. However this one promises that her child will be adopted to a good family and that she'll be taken care of financially too. She was put up for auction and what she didn't know was the winner was her mystery man from the party. Gavin was drawn to Leah because she looked like the woman he couldn't forget from the party. Yet the hair and her eyes were different it didn't matter to him Gavin still wanted her. Leah is taken into a world she had only dreamt about and made friends with a servant that was there for her. What would Gavin do when he learns who she really is? Will he want the baby? Will the drama around the club ever end?

This is an amazing story that will grab your attention and hold it until the end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

But during the job, she finds out so much about herself and about these types of parties and gatherings. But when she spots a mysterious man in all black and is drawn to him, how will she refuse fate? But when the one night goes bad, where will Leah go now?

Gavin has been to these parties in the past, but after his last prize, he is not in the mood, but goes anyway. However, when he sees Leah, he knows he has to have her. But with everyone wearing masks, it is hard to make out actual looks. But after a night of fun, Gavin decides he should attend the next auction and get another prize. But when he has his prize, and others want her, can he keep her safe and out of harms way? But could it be possible he is drawn to the same woman from the party? When he learns this, what will he do? How will he react to Leah and the baby?

This is a story that grabs your attention and holds it until the end. The chemistry between Gavin and Leah is outstanding, but the storyline behind their relationship is what draws you in for more. This story is about Leah and Gavin. The story begins with Leah working at a restaurant as a waitress and needing to make extra money only to have a friend insist on her coming to a gig as a waitress where the payment is good and only one night of work. What her friend forgets to tell her is that the party is meant also as hookup and one that she is not interested in. Of course, she is a feisty one and makes sure the first guy that tries puts his hands on her is knock to a bloody nose with her tray. This is where the story takes off as Gavin whom she noticed and admired comes to her rescue. She can’t find herself fighting him off as she wants him. Well she ends up pregnant and now is presented with an option to give up her baby that will be adopted by a wealthy family if she becomes a PRIZE for whoever bids higher in an auction. She goes along with this as now she has no job and no place to stay. Guess who her bidder is, and the story goes crazy from there! Drama, Drama, Drama!!!! Someone is dead, someone reveals a secret, and someone chooses a family! This is a great book, it kept me on board from the very beginning.

Looks like trouble rolling in! Ashlee doesn't mess around she totally nailed this bad boy and kept me on a razors edge from start to finish. A swirling throng of vexing contingents and a bevy of surprising events catapults those swirling emotions bursting into play. Throw in all the one high octane, intense and explosive chemistry and you have one prize winning nailbiting delight. One fantastic, smooth flowing, heart pounding, pulse racing wonder that brings this little baby together splendidly. Add a little spice in the mix along all the drama, intrigue and suspense and you have one intense, page flipping delight. An arresting storyline and turbulent plot set the stage that reveals an abundance of twists and turns that keep you on a razors edge. This baby hooks you from the start and reels you in for the duration. Twixt and twined and put through the wringer brings this piece of perfection bursting to life flawlessly. So she decides to auction herself off and he bids on her, winning. Gavin wins her and there is great chemistry between them. She begins to fall in love but he has many secrets and she has one of her own.
This is a hot steamy contemporary romance set in the high stakes world of rich, powerful men who do not value women as equals. The characters are great, full of intelligence, personality and gumption and they seem to pop off the page. They take the reader with them on an emotional rollercoaster as they deal with their innermost fears and struggles. The author expertly weaves the romantic storyline, sexual scenes and a murder mystery all into one compelling storyline that grabs you interest and keeps it to the very end. This book is easy to read but difficult to put down. Overall a great sexy romantic thriller worth reading.

Leah was talked into being a waitress at a masked party by a friend. Even though she is a virgin, she makes a connection with one of the guests and gives him her v-card. Six weeks later she finds out she is pregnant. Down on her luck and with no one to turn to, she agrees to be auctioned off to a protector and will become his pet and she will have to agree to give up her baby. She ends up being Gavin's "prize" and the story revolves around not only what occurs between them but also around the club where he bought her. The story has plenty of twists and turns, lots of steam and some really evil people with way more power than they deserve. It's kind of scary to see what lengths some people will go to get what they want. I really liked Leah. She was tough yet vulnerable and had a special spirit. Gavin was a flawed hero that made plenty of mistakes but deep down was a real sweetheart. Their HEA was well deserved.

This is a story about forgiveness, second chances at life and being open to those who cross your path in life's journey. A down on her luck waitress with an opportunity to make her life better in one single night and a billionaire who is so mired in guilt he ceases to live and only exists with the pesky need to relieve stress :) Appearances can be deceiving when it comes to these two and the exchanges between them are beautiful when sometimes all we need is a little love, kindness, compassion, empathy and patience one would be surprised the jewels that dwell amongst us if we take the time to get to know one another. The strength of character of the h and the protective instincts of the H makes for a great read!

I received an arc for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book. Leah is a waitress who works at a dingy diner. When a friend of hers explains that there is a masquerade party that she can hostess at and make $500, she takes the job. Leah does not realize that this is a party where wealthy men try to find "someone." She is very uncomfortable, until a man in a mask saves her. All she can see is his eyes, however, she does something that she normally doesn't do, and has a night of romance. She gets herself in a situation and realizes that she does not have the means to give her baby what it needs, so she ends up with someone who pays for her expenses, which just so happens to be the baby's father - Gavin. I loved how they finally found each other again, and the ending was fantastic. I highly recommend this story.

This was a very good read by Ashlee. Leah is having a hard time making ends meet and her friend lets her in on a masquerade party she will be waitressing. There are also other things that happen at these parties, but Leah says she won’t be doing them. That all goes out the window when she meets Gavin. They had an instant connection when they locked eyes on each other and they both have naughty fun at the party. Weeks later Gavin still can’t get Leah out of his head and Leah finds out she is pregnant. I am not going to go into any more of the story. You’ll have to read it to find out what happens. There is suspense, murder, secrets, surprises, drama and some twists and turns. I loved this story and the characters were great. I really liked Giselle. She became a great friend to Leah. This story just kept me hooked and I just kept reading until I was done.

This story features Gavin and Leah. These two were together anonymously at a masquerade party. A couple months later they meet again as he purchases her an auction for the willing and pregnant. It’s a VERY strange arrangement and you’ll have to read it to know what I mean. It almost turned me off reading this book completely but I decided that I liked the main characters enough to continue. I’m so glad I did because this story has a very sexy and sweet HEA, despite the strange arrangement.

The auction, the prize and the protector parts were pretty far-fetched and the story line would have been pretty fantastic without it. In my honest opinion, sometimes too much is just too much. Parts of the story line were just too far over-the-top. The main characters and a couple of secondary characters were great.

Leah really needs the money but wasn't really sure on if she should do it or not. Well Leah ends up going to this Masquerade party to waitress. Leah was on her break when she ends up stopping a handsome man all in black. Leah ends up having sex with this handsome man for the very first time in her life. Gavin is a business man, he is also rich. Gavin isn't sure yeah he decide to go to an auction to go get a new prize but he is very glad that he did. I enjoyed reading this book. Will Gavin discover Leah is more than just a prize
Ashlee is one of my top ten authors and this one did not disappoint with some intense intrigue. Leah works a private party where everyone wears masks and meets Gavin, who takes more than her breath away. When she finds out she is pregnant, she is offered an option to have her expenses paid and then some, if she auctions herself for a year. Gavin places the winning bid, but neither realize that they met at the private party. Things seem to be going well for them until Leah shows up at a gala unattended and Gavin assumes the worst. Will Gavin realize what he has with Leah before outside forces play them? You have to read to find out and won’t want to put the book down figuring out who done it until you finish!

I have mixed feelings about this book. Leah, a poor waitress, attends an event and ends up giving her virginity to the man who helps her. She ends up pregnant and unable to support herself. She attends an auction and a billionaire, Gavin, agree to help her through the pregnancy and she agrees to be his toy.
While I understand this is a book, not reality the things happening are just too much. Gavin is so brooding with danger on the edge you expect him to possibly hurt Leah.
Leah goes from a meek mild waitress to a strong verbal pregnant woman?! Just not plausible.
There is a mystery in this story with murders happening. There are a few other plots that are distracting.
Not bad but not a favorite.

Surprise Bidder by Ashlee Price is a 5 star contemporary romance. In this book, Leah a twenty-two year old virgin named Leah gets pregnant when she has an exciting sexual encounter while working as a waitress at a masquerade party. She knows she can’t support herself and her child so she agrees to be auctioned off to the highest bidder at a gentlemen’s club named Ambrosia for a chance at a better life. The man who buys her, Gavin is immediately fascinated by Leah. I found this to be a wonderful love story. The characters are very realistically written and the murder mystery added an exciting twist to the plot. This is the perfect contemporary romance for anyone who enjoys reading a well written romance. Surprise Bidder is a romantic love story with an interesting twist.

I like how the story started. Chance encounter and all that. Afterwards, I started feeling a little off about the auction and bidding but I still continued reading. I am glad I did because I am happy with the ending. Besides the romance, there is mystery and suspense, which I love.

Wow! I am not sure where to begin with this one. It started out mild enough but once the steam was turned up, boy was it steamy. There was so much more to it than that, though. There was drama, intrigue and romance with twists and turns around every bend. The characters were perfect together. Although, on more than one occasion, I found myself yelling at them. It all worked out in the end and I was sorry to see it finished. If I could give this more than five stars, I would! I will definitely be reading more from Ms. Price!

We have some mystery and suspense in this story of being a pet. Leah goes with her friend to be a waitress at a party. She swears she is not having sex, but things happen so quick, that now she don’t know what to do. She ends up going to a auction for her bing a prize. What she doesn’t know is what she really getting herself into. Gavin gets invited to the auction and bids on Leah, boy does he have his work cut out for him. Can he get her to Behave? Can Leah go through with this. Is the money worth it? What will happen when everything goes down at the club?
