Peril on the Mountain is a reprint of the first two books in Elizabeth Goddard’s Love Inspired Suspense Mountain Cove series. Mountain Cove features the Warren family, who operate an Avalanche Center in Mountain Cove, Alaska, as well as assist on search and rescue teams.
Both of these stories have high stakes, lots of danger, and showcase the natural and dangerous beauty of southeastern Alaska. From avalanches to blizzards to glacier fields, the bad guys aren’t the only trouble the characters face. For this alone, these are some of my favorite types of stories.
If you’re looking for a sweet romance mixed with lots of danger, Elizabeth Goddard is one of my go-to authors and I highly recommend this 2-in-1 book.

A brother and sister find their true loves in the Alaskan tundra.
Enjoyed being with this author again. Leah and Cade story was exciting from start to finish. Leah was running from an evil man. Cade became her protector and hero. Both had pasts to weed through before true love came into the picture. But Cade family became the family Leah needed. Now onto Heidi and Isaiah story it was exciting from it's start as well. A rescue for them and Cade that took a bad turn when criminals needed them to get them out. But God was with them every step of the way. Heidi love for Isaiah grew more everyday they were togethor. Even after he shared his past with her. He became her protector and the man that she needed. So happy for Cade and Leah too and their little one coming. Looking forward to Adam and David love stories.

Unexpected danger
The Alaskan wilderness in bad weather is life threatening enough without people trying to murder you. Add in avalanches, rescues gone wrong, falls, whiteout weather and these were just some of the challenges faced!

Two great books in one. What a wonderful time to read a book set in Alaska while in the August heat of Summer. The Suspense is awesome.
