As “The Happy Medium,” Kim has reached beyond the realms of the known. Her gift allows her to sees what many of us cannot: that the world is filled with distractions and barriers that can derail us from living our lives with meaning and purpose. By explaining spiritual laws—including divine oneness, balance, vibration, and resistance—and providing practical, illuminating exercises, Kim unlocks our spiritual toolbox to help us reframe our world.

Russo is originally from Long Island, NY and is the mother of three boys.
This book inspires me to be a better person. Kim’s perspective on the universe and how we are all connected “To the God Force” makes me realize that all our actions big or small have a ripple affect. A simple act of kindness toward a stranger or neighbor or essential worker could make all the difference in their day.
A recent example of this... I left my mail lady a ‘thank you’ note to thank her for her service during this difficult time (the pandemic). It just so happened she received the card when I was just arriving home. The smile on her face when she received the card made my day so much brighter. The short interaction between us made me feel good and I’m pretty sure it made her feel good too. Kindness matters more now than ever.
This young lady has taken the air waves AND the hungry public by storm. First her TV shows THE HAUNTING OF…, CELEBRITY GHOST STORIES and others, then her book THE HAPPY MEDIUM, and now YOUR SOUL PURPOSE: LEARN HOW TO ACCESS THE LIGHT WITHIN.
The advice that Kim offers is, in my opinion, quite timely. At 65, I’ve experienced much of what she speaks of in this book, and can only say that I wish I’d had her around when I was going through those various life events of which she speaks. (Like my first Saturn Return! Or even my second one!)
While, personally, I HAVE managed to access the Light Within previous to reading her book, one of the things I’ve had an extremely challenging time with is attempting to determine my Soul Purpose. I mean, you know, my PRIMARY Soul Purpose. The one I supposedly came into this life to offer to the world as my contribution. In my opinion, while we may have many passions, there is only ONE Soul Purpose. Or at least, that’s what I thought. Some of us may actually come in with more than one. The fact that I have LOTS of passions (!) makes it difficult to choose.
For quite awhile I believed that Soul Purpose and Life Purpose were really two different things, since one referred to our Earthly Purpose (Life Purpose), while the other referred to our Higher Self’s Purpose (Soul Purpose). But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that they are really one and the same. Because once we become aligned with our Higher Self, which is our HIGHER PURPOSE, that is what we wish to manifest on the earth plane, which ultimately becomes our Life Purpose.
However, recently I’ve been hearing another message: from Spirit, my Angels, my Guides, possibly passed-on loved ones and ancestors, and even from corporeal here-and-now loved ones and friends. And that message is: “BE HERE NOW” and “ANCHOR THE LIGHT.” (See Angels and Higher Self! I WAS listening! :-) )
What I’m also hearing from Spirit, and my Angels and Guides is that it’s OK to want to follow your other passions. But the primary aid the world needs right now is for us to live in the present or be here now (thank you Ram Dass) and to anchor the Light – and Love – into, around and onto Mama Gaia.
But, if you really would like to know what your passions are, or what you might do better than anything else or where you’ll be most successful, you can check with any astrologer – as Kim pointed out – and the astrologer should be able to show you in what sign and house your North Node of the Moon and Part of Fortune are located. Your North Node of the Moon shows not only your Life Purpose, but your Highest Evolutionary Potential, while your Part of Fortune shows you where you’ll experience the most joy and where you’ll be most successful. If you’re career/business focused, you can ask that s/he checks out where your Saturn and Capricorn planets are located, and what planetary bodies are located in your 6th and/or 10th houses, and possibly even your 2nd.
These, though, are not the only planetary bodies which indicate abilities, gifts and passions. In fact, other planetary bodies which aspect these two bodies should also be taken into consideration; especially those that are trine to or at a positive distance from them.
And as for Kim’s comments regarding astrology and its importance, as a recently retired astrologer who’s worked in the field for several decades and studied it voraciously for several decades before that, I must concur. Astrology is an amazing way to learn about yourself. You know the old saying that parents utter when they don’t really understand their children: “It’s too bad kids don’t come with instruction manuals!” The fact is, they do. It’s called their astrological natal or birth chart. It works extremely well for figuring out who your child is, and/or what s/he likes and dislikes or of what she or he might be afraid.
Then, finally, Kim talks about Ascension. While Ascension is my preferred word, some prefer the term the Rapture, which is technically a fundamentalist Christian term and quite a bit different than ‘Ascension.’ Ascension is more like an evolution of consciousness. Or there is being Enlightened or attaining the Light Body or Rainbow Body. Ultimately our Higher Self’s intention – the God Force’s intention (I love that epithet, Kim!) is for us to love the Infinite Creator (God), ourselves and others, and to forgive and to have compassion for others. Whatever way you choose to view it, Yeshua said it best: “Love is the whole of the Law.”
Kim Russo is a proven psychic. Consequently, I felt drawn to her newly published book. Its title didn't promise anything I didn't already know. Nevertheless, I felt led to check it out. Whoa, was I surprised that while some of the stuff wasn't new to me, the whole volume proved to be a treasure chest crammed with information covering a vast array of topics. From the rules of the Universe to our energy vibrations, to astrology to numerology, to other disciplines considered to be real or bogus science. It all makes sense as she describes it, and it's easy to see where she's coming from.
Russo works with the reader. She reaches out to where you are and provides guidance according to your needs. While I didn't feel I was someone in dire need, I nevertheless learned some astounding lessons. No matter where you are on your spiritual path, here is a book worth exploring for its vast collection of useful knowledge.
The read is enjoyable, and I look forward to examining more of Kim Russo's books.
This isn't a book about being psychic, being a medium, or how to become one. I bought this audio book on Audible because Kim's a very positive person, and "The Happy Medium" is a perfect description of her. In this book, she talks about finding the light within you, with your soul, to improve your life. It's not about speaking to the dead at all. She talks about listening to your inner voice, being authentic, and not listening to the so-called "authorities" in our lives. Our authorities are God and ourselves. She also often says "love is God." It's a very positive read and gives tools (meditations, mantras) to help you work through the negative times and work around negative people. You don't need to believe in God to take something away from this book. Just have an open mind about what positivity is.
I usually don't get into books like this, but Kim caught my attention on a TV show where she both brought comfort to several people and pushed her book. She drew on her special gift as a medium on the show, but the book doesn't really dwell on that. Being a Catholic Christian, I was uncomfortable with parts at first but was encouraged when I found out this is also her background. She never denies her background, but she has studied the traditional literature of other cultures and incorporated it; including the Kabbalah, Vedic scriptures, numerology and astrology. I found the book unfocused at times, but that was probably just me. The last two chapters drew everything together beautifully with insights that I found meaningful and reassuring for the times we are now in.
This book has come to me at exactly the right time, and I pray it finds you as well. My dear soul sister recommended this, and I look forward to discussing it with her. I bought it on Kindle, and I may want the hard cover to make some notes. Many blessings and much gratitude to Ms. Russo and her spirit guides for sharing this remarkable work.
I have read a few books similar to Kim’s, but this book has helped me more than words can say. Kim has a way of talking to you, not at you. Her stories validate what she is trying to teach us. I highlighted many pages and will reference her book whenever I feel lost. Thank you, Kim Russo, for sharing this book!
Oh how I loved this book! I listened via audible and I enjoyed the voice of Kim Russo throughout! This book gives you the tools to find your soul's purpose along with positive guidance along the way. I am now working on my soul's purpose and ascension - rising above to make the World a better place! Bless you Kim, you touch so many!
An excellent and thorough look and explanation of bringing your light inside awake to ascend. I would recommend this book to all Seekers if spiritual enlightenment. Thank you Kim!
I found this one to be such a helpful, enlightening, supportive read! Kim's love and truth emanate from every page. I plan to read this book again for a renewal of the wisdom it offers!

I loved this book. I read Your Soul Purpose at the beginning of the pandemic. I lost my HR job and my children were home, one of them struggling with remote schooling in the beginning stages. After reading this book and doing the recommended spiritual exercises in it, I found my soul purpose. I heard it loud and clear. I gained the confidence to homeschool my children and start my journey of being an author and self-publisher. Kim is so good at expressing and promoting self-love throughout the whole book. I recommend this book to anyone struggling to understand the changes that the pandemic has brought to our lives and to anyone struggling with finding their soul purpose here on earth.
saw her on the "the mel robbins" morning show and she's amazing. but the book isn't amazing. nothing major blew me away about this book. I was expecting more. didn't like: another book discounting the importance of the ego, also another book with the "don't do X" but nothing about how you change your habits or better yet heal yourself to the point where there's no desire to do X. liked: some good tips and interesting points. I'm on the fence about reading her "happy medium".
I'm not sure what I expected to get out of this book. I've been searching for my purpose for a while. This is the kind of book I will go back and re read. It offered some of the same insights as the Four Agreements and The Alchemist. I've been searching for understanding of what I've been feeling and it's been like pieces of a puzzle. This helped add a few more to place.
I loved Kim's show and her energy, so I was happy to read this book. I am also working on myself and probably could stand to work on my energy. This book is mainly about energy and finding your way to connect to the higher purpose. I like how even though this references God, it is light on organized religion. There are no quick fixes here, but a gentle guidance.
I found the book all over the place, it didn't really resonate with me . Some information was ok but it wasn't much about accessing your light more stories.than anything and questions. In simple terms, if you want to access your light ➡️ Vibrate in a place of love that's all you need to know.
Really enjoyed this book. If you are interested in the power of manifestation, getting in touch with your guardian angels/beings, or becoming more spiritual than this is the book for you. In easy to understand language, Kim Russo's walks you through how to become a higher, more loving version of yourself.
Kim Russo lays out how to find your soul’s purpose and have a better relationship with God. While I agree with everything she said, it seemed more a like soccer mom psychic reading. I can watch her show all day but I need advice from someone who has really been through the mud.
Kim did a nice job with multiple complex issues in presenting them in a readable and understandable way. Her presentation of seeking our soul purpose is a worthy goal. I liked her presentation of the universal laws and the age old understanding of love versus fear. Overall a good read.
It was okay. Definitely start with her first book (I liked it more). This one had self help information that I've read before--nothing really new. There were a few "aha" moments but nothing completely mind-blowing. Just a standard self help, spiritual book.
