Hooked On You

Rate this book
I’m a bookworm, a mathematician, not the kind of girl a hot lobster fisherman would notice.

Until he did.

I’m not in small town Nova Scotia to hook up. I’m here to settle my grandmother’s estate and sell the B&B, which I soon discover has been overrun with seasonal fisherman and operated on the honor system. The hard-core fishing folks become an instant family––the one I never had. Then there’s the blind pet cow, who has a crush on my hot fisherman, Nate. Okay, technically he’s not mine. I have no desire to get reeled in.

Until I do.

Soon, the little town grows on me, and the fisherman? It’s not long until I take the bait and we’re playing house at the B&B. Things are looking up.

Until they aren’t.

Rumors about a new plant and jobs being in jeopardy start swirling around town like a nor’easter, and all the signs point to my guy being behind the scandal. Should I give him enough line to play it out and learn his true intentions, or cut and run before I’m hooked?

This was a cute small town romance between two unlikely people. I'm a big fan of small town settings because they usually deliver so many fun side characters and some interesting charm to the town. You definitely get that with Hooked on You. There are plenty of characters to help you fall in love with this town and makes you want more books on some of these hunky men. You also get that quirky small town charm with a love sick cow and an angry horse. Overall, it's a cute story with a lot of quirkiness, some a bit unbelievable, but I still enjoyed it for what it was.

I hate to *pun* this but I am hooked on this town and it’s people and I floved this story so darn much!!!

The best word to describe this story is charming. Everything about it, from the characters to the town to the story-line to … all of it, was just delightful. Yes, a bit quirky and maybe a little predictable but above all that, it was just plain fun to read.

Hooked On You
By: Catherine Fox

REVIEW ☆☆☆☆
I love romcoms, and Hooked On You is a great new addition to the genre. The story is basically predictable, but I still enjoy reading this type of thing. Charming, engaging characters with a few quirks here and there and a bit of chemistry makes for a fun and fast read. You won't find anything ground breaking here, but if you are looking for an adorable story to make you smile, you will find that!

I was really loving this book for maybe the first 20% and I had such high hopes for it! We got straight into the story with Kira being run down by a horse, which results in her meeting Nate- and I loved that. We were also introduced to such a charming town which reminded me why I love reading small town romances so much. Everyone knows each other, the B&B operates on an honour system(!!) and cows just mosey into other people's areas! But most of all, the people are so soo sweet! As soon as Cody, Sam, Jason and Izzy were introduced, I was so excited for the family relationship, and although most of the book went downhill for me, I still liked the relationship between the housemates (including Kira).
Another thing that the author did well for me was the relationship between Kira and Gram. Even though Gram wasn't physically present in the book, I could still feel the relationship, especially the nostalgia and longing coming from Kira.
Unfortunately, Kira's character wasn't that likeable for me. She mentioned multiple times how she thinks she's boring, and I believe it was mostly because she's a mathematician. But just because you're a mathematician it doesn't mean you can't have a personality or talk about anything else? Although, maybe that's what Kira was meant to learn...? I'm not sure if I took this the wrong way because I'm a maths major (and I know I'm not only my love of maths!), but this definitely made Kira less enjoyable for me.
Along with this, the book didn't excite me enough that I wanted to keep turning the pages and that may have been because I wasn't invested in the relationship between Kira and Nate. I just didn't feel the chemistry at all. I also felt the misunderstanding was a bit unreasonable. They never spoke about Gram's studio and Nate's job, but not even because Nate was trying to hide it from Kira, but because they just....didn't talk about it, and I don't believe Nate ever gave any indication that he wanted something from her. BUT I do realise that I'll never know what feelings are involved unless I'm in the situation and it was resolved fairly quickly, so I'll let that go.
Overall, this book was a miss for me but if there are books released about the other housemates I might still give them a go!

Kira arrives in Nova Scotia intent on following her mothers wish of selling her Grandmothers B&B. Kira has a lot of regrets, mainly not spending time with her Grandmother before she passed. She was the only one in her life that treated her like she mattered. Kira's adventure though turns into being saved by lobster fisherman, Nate and group of friends she never expected to have. Now she is struggling with selling the B&B, leaving, and not wanting to give up Nate. What's a girl to do?

This was charming, you are immediately swept away into both Kira and Nates story. Nate has a secret though that is going to blow up in his face if he doesn't come clean but at the same time he has been burned before because of it. I thought this was a perfect spring read that was visual, funny, and pulled at your heart strings.

4 Star review Hooked On You by Cathryn Fox

Cathryn Fox is a new author to me. I love small town romance and was intrigued to this story set in Nova Scotia.
Kira is in town to settle her late grandmother’s affairs, and not looking for romance. She is unsettled to learn that the B & B is used by fisherman and is based on an honour system. Kira is so far out of her comfort zone that you cannot help but laugh.
Add in a blind cow, Nate, a hot lobster fisherman and you know that this will be a quirky story. Although I found Kira a little hard to connect with, I really liked Nate and the secondary characters of Cody, Sam, Jason and Izzy as I found them easy to relate to.
This was romantic, a little steamy, at times humorous story that brought a smile to my face.

I am unequivocally in love with this book!

I jumped at the chance to read this book when I saw it was set in Nova Scotia. I spent time in Halifax years ago and fell in love with all things Nova Scotia. I have wanted to return to the island ever since. This fictional and virtual adventure to Lunenburg solidified that longing. Using the power of all things Google, I found myself exploring Lunenburg and looking up pumpkin boat racing (yes, it's a thing). Reading this gave me such a jolt of happiness and quickly put Cathryn Fox on my radar.

What made this story so great is the characters and the dialogue. They all seemed so real to me. I found myself with a non-stop smile and when I had to put the book down for some real-life activities, I couldn't wait to get back to it. The meet-cute between Kira Palmer and Nate Montgomery is unapparelled, and it just gets better and better.

It was glorious to see brainiac Kira allow herself to fall for Nate, and for businessman Nate to find a community and his person despite his objections to "being a keeper." They are surrounded by a wonderful cast of secondary characters with Sam and his punny jokes firmly leading the pack. Not far behind is Bridgette, the blind cow who is in love with Nate, and the larger group of lobster fishermen and B&B roommates with some of the best hearts. As with all great love stories, there's some conflict to be had, but not before Kira and Nate could recognize their feelings, if only to themselves.

This a definitely one of my top favorite Rom-Com reads EVER, and I book I highly recommend. 5++ Stars.

Me: “It’s not you, it’s me.”

This book: *flips me the finger and walks away*

I usually love Ms. Fox’s stories, besides the scorching hot level of her character’s chemistry in the sexy department I’m generally sucked in with their interactions, witty banter and compelling natures. Sadly, this was not the case for me with Hooked on You.

I started off on the wrong foot when our h, Kira is depicted as a “distracted mathematician”. Que in what seems to be an inability to focus and very long inner musings in between actual dialogue, which drives me completely insane.

I have to be honest here and admit to skimming a great deal through the whole book. I started it and I really wanted to like it, but it just wasn’t grabbing me, to the point where I read a couple of other books in between. Still, I was determined to see this one through, if only for the fact that I’ve read a lot of this author’s books and I’ve loved several of them. Once I realized the only way I’d be able to do that was to tackle it as I do some of the Korean dramas now on Netflix and I started going from dialogue line to dialogue line, and almost altogether skipping their inner monologues, I finally managed it.

I did actually like both Kira and Nate and they did have great chemistry together. She was kind of lost emotionally, and he had some serious family issues to work through so this was a healing-together kind of romance. Unfortunately, I saw every single plot twist a hundred thousand kilometers in advance, and that, compounded with my inability to really connect to the characters given their too-long-inner-musing-itis just made it hard for me to get into the story and totally enjoy the experience.

Hooked on You is by no means a bad book, my expectations of what I’d be getting were too high and it just didn’t work for me personally. I still liked the story, it was sweet and heartwarming and I had some fun with the puny humor and easy comradery between all the town’s people. It just wasn’t the book for me.

Blind lovesick cows, angry horses, hot men, tiny fishing village in Nova Scotia this one sent me right into orbit! I loved every single minute of this book and did not want to put it down.

Quiet math mathematician Kira drives across Canada to Nova Scotia to settle her beloved grandmothers estate at the bidding of her too busy mother. Her orders were to sell the B&B left to her mother, Kira's grandmother left her her small cottage/studio. One that brings her many happy memories. Arriving in town she crosses the street when she's almost run down by a runaway horse when she's saved by Nate. Nate she assumes is a lobster fisherman since he's in full fishing garb.
Nate is an eyeful to say the least and there is an immediate spark between the two. Being back in the little town brings back so many good memories for Kira, good times with her grandmother who was much loved in the town. She arrives at the B&B surprised that Nate too is staying there, along with the rest of the fishing crew. Kira is surprised at what's transpired there. Payment is made by the honor system, they take turns cooking and taking care of the house. The cast of characters was insanely good and I loved them all. They took Kira in like she were one of their own. There are quite a few madcap adventures from Kira almost setting the kitchen on fire, to Bridgette the blind, love sick cow who had a thing for Nate and would wander over from the neighbors at the sound of his voice.
Money raising adventures by the crew to save the B&B from sale, and Nate's real job and backstory.
Nate's the CEO of the company that owns the fishing enterprise. He's there to put his idea into place to build a different type of processing plant, bringing more jobs and streamlining the business. All to his nasty father's chagrin. He's managed to buy up all the properties he needs to expand the business except one. What he doesn't know is that's the property that Kira's little cottage studio sits on.
Things heat up between Nate and Kira and I do mean heat up, it's Cathryn Fox after all! The two had great chemistry together and while Nate knew what Kira did, getting her PhD in Math and planning on returning to the west coast to finish her doctorate, she thinks he's a fisherman for most of the book. But now she's thinking of staying, being able to transfer to a program nearby. This town where she feels included and has friends, unlike at home. Nate is determined to do several things, one is keeping Kira, proving his father wrong and for the first time he's thinking about staying in town. At that I'll leave you hanging.

This is a must read story, just the right amount of angsty goodness, plenty of steam, seamless writing and a cast of characters I would love to see again. Total 5 star plus read for me. Cathryn Fox never disappoints.

An ok read. Kira and Nate were an ok couple for me. They just didn’t seem to click for me at first. It took a while for them to grow on me. It just wasn’t for me but it could be for many others. Loved the small town feel but I am a small town girl so it was nice to read about a place that wasn’t busy.

Actual Rating: 3.50 Stars.

This cute, coastal, small town contemporary about two unlikely people falling in love was given to me in exchange for an honest review from NetGalley and Entangled Publishing.
I was so excited when I was approved for this book. It’s about a girl going to her grandmother’s old B&B to get it ready for sale after her passing. While there the girl falls in love with a man just in town for the season and wonders if she shouldn’t stay. It has all the wintery coastal vibes that I love, it has a found family (a freaking found family in a romance), and a blind cow who is so adorable. How could I not want to read it?!

I think the romance is cute and I was definitely rooting for the couple, but I think the heart of what made me enjoy this book so much is the side characters. I love the found family element to this story. It wasn’t something I was expecting going into the novel. I think you get so much of their personality and backstory that they feel like family to you too. I think there’s room to build on this and do a few companion novels with Jason, Cody, Izzy, and Sam. I also really enjoyed the town. I’ve always been a fan of the East Coast in the winter. I don’t know why really, but I love the Fall to Winter time frame in this book. It really adds so much to the feel of the place. It feels like this could easily be picked up for a Lifetime or Hallmark movie for a movie set near Christmas (just add a dash of tinsel and a tree or two).

I do think there were moments that felt too easy or too unbelievable, but if I can watch Hallmark movies and love them, I can suspend my disbelief for this book. I think the end does feel a little too quick. We spent so much time falling in love with all the characters and the town and not enough time going over the conflict and picking up the pieces. I think another solid 15 pages is really all that would have been necessary to make it work. I also had a little trouble with the sex scenes. There are a few of those and I think they’re done pretty well, but I’m not a big fan of dirty talk and there’s some of that during the sex scenes. Just a personal preference.

It’s a quick and cute read that I had so much fun with. Definitely worth picking up when it comes out on April 27th.

I liked the concept of this book.

Kira is back in Nova Scotia to sell her Grandmothers BnB. She has no intentions of staying until she finds herself loving this small friendly town, that includes a runaway horse, a blind and lovesick cow, also inheriting a new adopted family.

I found the book quiet repetitive if I'm honest, we know she's a mathematician who suffers from extreme low self esteem as a result. She continues to put herself down throughout the book which actually annoyed me. She dismisses Nate whenever he tries to explain to her what his job really is, just so she won't have to discuss her own job.

On the other hand this book is sweet and an easy read. There are a lot of areas that were unbelievable and farfetched however it was really sweet overall. I loved the relationship with her "roommates" aka her new family who have been running the BnB on an honour system. They are so funny, I absolutely loved Sam.

Overall I enjoyed it but I won't be re reading

I like small towns and liked an enjoyed this town and I think that i liked that in the book the best. We meet Kira a mathematician which she will repeatedly, repeatedly mentions this and you get to the point of I got it now can we move along, on a crazy day that she is not watching where she is going a crazy horse comes running down the street And Nate who according to Kira was just the hottest fisherman and she was flabbergasted that he seemed to be flirting with her. I didn't see the chemistry or feel it, because she was nerdy, and a mathematician, and a 27 year old virgin to boot, none of that would have bothered me if I didn't hear it repeatedly and she got over it. They give in and then the secrets come out and Nate is not a fisherman, than what is he.

rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.

Hooked is a story that takes place in a small Canadian town in Nova Scotia where there is an honor system, payment by lobster, old style pumps, and runaway horses. Kira hasn’t been back for years but now she’s here to take care of her grandmothers estate and well she’s in for a surprise.

Rescuing a damsel a couple of times is nothing for Nate. He’s the CEO of Hooked a fishing company and he’s trying to get more jobs, better pay, and well if there are a few perks to rescuing a pretty lady why not?

A b&b filled with fishermen, pickle jars, Ninja mice, crazy stories, bachelor auctions, secrets, hidden pasts, and well a lot of cute sweet and sexy moments this book is for you!!!

Kira and Nate were the most wonderful couple that you just can't help but root for. They were sweet and steamy and so right for each other!

By the end of this book I was in love with each and every character and cheering on the happy ending. This author is truly skilled at creating characters with complexity and flaws that will steal your heart.

I am swooning at the thought of seeing more of these characters get their own love stories in the future.

3.8/5 🦄

This book ended up being very sweet, but not quite a four star read. Before I started, I could tell that this book had all the tropes I love—small towns, close and nosy neighbors that are like family, the community aspect, etc. When I started, I thought this book was not going to get past those tropes. It felt shallow and the lack of depth made it a really slow start. The middle of this book is where it reaches its stride. The characters really start to stand out, the community aspects feel more realistic, the side characters become important. The pacing is off. The big issue comes 90% into the book and is resolved quickly. Then it ends on perhaps the most expected and most corny ending possible, and the epilogue actually gives a bit more to the story that I would argue is needed—the ending would be abrupt without it to dispel some of the absurdity. So it’s altogether a complicated book to review. I enjoyed it. But it was slow going. I had to force myself to keep going after four chapters. But it gets better and it turned out to be pretty sweet. The main problem is not much of a problem and is completely predictable. The ending is predictable. But that middle part really makes up for it. It’s fluffy and sweet so you won’t have to worry about it tearing your heart out. It’s a pick me up of a book like a Frappuccino in the afternoon. Sugary and full of unnecessary calories but it meets expectations and is a bit of a treat—a break from the serious after a long day. Yeah, serious stuff is part of it—if you’ve recently lost your grandmother, beware the feels! But mostly it’s light. Check it out if you are looking for the small town, friends are family vibe and aren’t too picky.

***I read an advanced readers copy via Netgalley, thank you to the publisher for the early access***

Hooked On You is a small town romance, set in Nova Scotia between city girl from across the country Kira and Nate-a low key billionaire CEO who tries to come clean about what he does but never gets the chance to because Kira assumes like the rest of the crew they are around, that he's a fisherman.
Kira's grandmother has passed away-leaves her B&B to Kira's Mother who wants nothing to do with it, so Kira's Mom sends her out to Nova Scotia to sell the place. Kira gets there and learns the B&B is still up and running thanks to a group of fishermen who use it and pay for it based off the honor system.

I didn't know for a while what this book wanted to be. Is it a romcom? Is it a book about grief? I think its an attempt at being both while including small town charm and a glimpse into Canadian culture which I loved but honestly I wanted to DNF this book on more than one occasion. It was an entire DRAG to get through, especially the first half of the book. Once I got to about 53% in (yes, very specific) I felt like the plot FINALLY picked up.

This book had a lot of potential. I liked the authors choices with the secrets and the conflicts but by the time I got to all that, I was just thrilled that the story was finally coming to a close. I was so painfully tired of the over emphasizing of how 'innocent' the heroine is. Homegirl is 27 years old-not saying that's not realistic BUT I don't need to be beaten over the head with it!
"Fast isn't good when you're innocent."
"I know I'm not very experienced."
"She blushes and curls a long honey-blonde strand of hair around her finger. Her innocent sexuality gives me an instant boner."
"I'm inexperienced, but I'm pretty sure few men are tis attentive, this interested in rocking their partner's world."
"she said she was inexperienced. I don't know any women her age who haven't had sex"

I need someone to explain to me romance author's fascination with writing innocent heroines. A genre written for women by women, WHO are we saying gets a happy ever after? I'm not going to NOT buy your book because your heroine has had a few partners. At this point you'll get kudos for stepping outside of the box because this is becoming a norm.

The book focuses on Kira falling in love with the small town and its people while you as the reader have it in the back of your mind that the whole point of her being there is to sell this b&b and hightail it back across the country. She is a math whiz who keeps this a secret for as long as possible, wanting someone to want her for her body for a change instead of her brain. The situationship between her and Nate was cute.

I liked the found family aspect in Hooked On You, it was cool-a little weird sometimes. It wasn't a horrible book so it didn't get less than a 3 stars but it didn't blow me away.

Small town romance is a big draw for me, mostly because they usually come with lots of quirky and fun characters. This little fishing town in Nova Scotia certainly had that, which to me was the best part of the whole story! Well, that and the self made family that Nate, and then Kira, cobbled together for themselves.
I didn’t feel much chemistry between our leads, unfortunately. Too many missed chances to clear up misunderstandings annoyed more than charmed me. And the lack of confidence and backbone from the brilliant nerdy girl made me sad and frustrated.
I admit that I had to walk away from this book a few times, as it wasn’t holding my attention. But once I got to maybe the 40-50% mark, I gobble up the rest of the story. It was a slow journey, but a satisfying read and conclusion. Cathryn Fox is definitely an author I’ve read before and will read again, as I like her style. Hooked On You just wasn’t the one for me.

My thanks to Netgalley for the advance copy. My review is voluntarily and honestly given.

After the death of her Grandmother Kira finds herself in Nova Scotia to sell the Bed & Breakfast that she owned. She is a woman who is more comfortable with facts and figures rather than people but when she arrives and finds that a group of fisherman continue to live in and look after her Grandmother’s home she finds something she never expected to find and that is a sense of belonging.

Nate is working as a fisherman but that isn’t the only reason that he is town. He becomes Kira’s white knight when he rescues her from an errant horse and she is not disappointed when she finds out that he is one of the men staying at the Bed & Breakfast.

When they both came to town they expected it was only supposed to be temporary but they may just find out that in each other and the town they may have found a place to call home. This is a heartwarming story filled with heat, humor and quirky secondary characters.

My Review .......

“ You know in an action movie, when the hero just saved the day and everything goes into slow-mo as he walks toward the heroine, to emphasise the guy’s sexiness? Cue the big finale kiss, right? When they ride off into the sunset, have you ever sighed happily and thought, one day, that’s going to happen to me? Yeah, me neither.”

Have to admit not my usual read. But I really enjoyed the book.
Had a few laughs, a blind pet cow had me chuckling. And Eddie the horse, I loved that creature and if there are more stories I hope he features.

Kira is not cut out for small town living, so she needs to sell the B&B that she’s inherited and get back to her own home. She loves her job, and can’t wait to get back, but being rescued by a hot fisherman is the highlight of her quiet life. And is he flirting with her?

Nate is the hot fisherman that saves Kira from being mowed down by a runaway horse. He catches lobsters and is happy to trade them for other items. He’s fascinated with the woman he’s just rescued, a little strange, but in a fun way. But he’s not interested in starting something, he wants to finish his deal and move on. It’s not common knowledge yet, and he’s not sure of the reception the new packing company will receive, so he has to tread carefully.

Nate and Kira both tell this story, and it’s good to get both sides. Kira feels guilty that she hasn’t been back for a while, but it won’t stop her from selling the B&B. Nate can’t understand why she would want to sell. But he’s hiding something from her.

Hoping we get a few more books, there were many characters that needed a story. Really well written, the characters were really good, secondary characters were entertaining as well. And the little town was so well written I had no problem conjuring it up. Kira was great to read, a nerd who loves her job, not many social skills, but that doesn’t stop her from flirting with Nate.
And Nate is a nice guy, so if he’s so nice, why not tell the town he’s opening up a new company? He’s also looking to move on, so does he need to slow down and enjoy the scenery.

So will they get together? Or will Kira sell up and leave? Can Nate persuade her not to sell? He’d like her to stay, but will she? And what happens when she finds out his secret? Will she help or will she hinder?

The story of Kira and Nate. She is in town to sort out her grandmothers house to sell. She mistakes him for a fisherman, instead of the company CEO, and he does nothing to set her straight. Soon they are spending more time together and she is falling for him, but what will happen when she discovers his secret?

A great set of side characters too, who share the B&B with Kira and Nate. Hoping that this is a series so we find out their stories too.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a voluntary and honest review.

This was really cute and I loved that Kira worked in STEM. The only thing that I would really complain about it that I found the smut scenes to be a little awkward but when they are regularly interacting and doing activities other than coitus I love them together. I loved how all the fishermen in the town were really protective of her and treated her like a sister because of how close they were to her grandmother. I loved Jason especially he was hilarious. Another book if you are just looking for a classic cute romance book.

I received a free copy of Hooked on You in exchange for an honest review. This was a quick and fun read. What I liked most was the author's humor which was prevalent throughout the book.

The plot was intriguing, and I really enjoyed the small town atmosphere, and I'm always a sucker with a good grandma nexus. The open bed and breakfast open concept was a little much, and how Kira didn't figure out Nate was the top dog in town was beyond me.

Overall, this was a good read and I'd recommend his author to friends and family.

I really wanted to like this book but unfortunately I didn't. Among the things that I liked is that it's a small town romance, there are some lovable characters and that there was a cute meet.

But the heroine is constantly thinking and saying that she is boring, (so often that it kind of convinced me), because she is a mathematician and no one will understand her work. I didn't like the way she disparaged her work and herself. I hoped she would be more proud about her accomplishments.

The couple went from 0 to 60 very quickly, I wanted a bit more build up and honestly between them.

Hooked on You by Cathryn Fox a five-star read that will hook you, line and sinker. This is my first read by this author but I am sure it wont be the last, I will admit that It wasn’t all five-stars, a couple of bits just didn’t make it that great, but honestly the overall was so worth it. This is a great small-town romance, but it does have some great twists, like neither of the main characters are small town people, but that just makes it more real and the ending much sweeter. The secondary characters in this one just makes the whole story, and I include the animals in those secondary characters as they play a massive part in showing us different softer sides to a certain someone. This was a lovely sweet and romantic story and one that you would be sunk if you miss.

When Kira's saved from being trampled by an angry horse, the hot lobster fisherman who saves her instantly charms her. She knows she's not his type, but darned if she doesn't wish she were.

But perhaps she is exactly Nate's type, perhaps the two can navigate a temporary no strings fling, and come out of it with their hearts intact and none the worse for wear. Or perhaps they just might come out of it with their hearts in each other's hands, full of love for each other and this whimsical small town and its residents.

Hooked on You is so sweet and charming. Small town romances can be too cute, but here it's got enough wit and a little tiny bit of steam so it balances everything out. Plus there's a blind cow in love with Nate, a ninja mouse, funny, loving fisherman and chosen families, with a whole little town who's embraced newcomer Nate and one of its own, Kira. I adored Nate with his sweet, loving personality, and perhaps wished he were paired with someone a bit more confident in herself, as Kira's insecurities were kind of annoying after awhile. If she mentioned she was a mathematician one more time I might have screamed. Aside from Kira though, I fell in love with this small town in Nova Scotia and all its inhabitants.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 “The use of my truck is nothing, because as I revel in the warmth in her big brown eyes, I realize it’s the world I truly want to give her.”✨

If you enjoy:
⚓️Small town Romance
⚓️Millionaire hero
⚓️Steamy Scenes
⚓️Romantic Comedy
⚓️Dual POV
Then this may be the book for you!✨
.
This book gave me all the east coast feels. It was sweet and quirky with just the right amount of steam!✨
.
Keira has returned to Lunenburg to sell her grandmothers B&B. What she doesn’t expect is for it to be filled with fisherman and running itself. She also doesn’t expect to be knocked over by a handsome fisherman. But what she comes to learn is he isn’t a fisherman and perhaps his intentions aren’t as pure as she thought.✨
.
This was a cute story. Keira is a bit lost. Struggling with insecurities and grief. Nate is there to do a job and the last thing he expected was to find such a deep connection with Keira. The two have chemistry you can feel from the very beginning and when it finally ignites, it is quite steamy. That Nate I enjoyed. He is sweet, chivalrous, sexy and quite the dirty talker.✨
.
In fact many of the supporting characters had quite the dirty humour. But in the funniest of ways. The additional characters really brought this story to life. Especially Sam, what a hoot he was. He definitely needs his own story. While I did feel this story was a little predictable, I really enjoyed the coastal small town feel. Horses running loose and blind cow crushes didn’t hurt either. Check it out if you enjoy a humorous, sweet and sexy romance.✨

This book definitely had me hooked. I could't put it down. I loved the characters so much. They made me want to go visit the small town. The citizens of the town are like a family. This is a book the pulls at the heart strings. It broke my heart Kira never got closure with her Gram, but watching the town rally around her and share their memories warmed my heart. Now Nate is delicious. He's going to make you easily swoon and fall for him. The quirkiness of the town is what makes it special. Those were some of my favorite parts of the book especially the someone who has a crush on Nate. The best part for me is the sense of home Kira feels. With her big heart she deserves what the town and it's people have to offer. This is definitely a make you feel good story you won't want to miss out on. I would highly recommend this one. Make sure you pick a quiet spot with uninterrupted time because this a book that you get frustrated if people interrupt your reading time for sure!

The towns people and the others living in the B and B made this book extra special. They were my favorite part. This would have been a great first book in a series. I could see so many more stories.
