An Unlikely Amish Match was a really good story. I enjoyed watching the romantic relationship develop between Susannah and Micah, two people who definitely seemed to be opposites at the opening of the novel.

The author did a very good job of helping me see the real Susannah and the real Micah. They were both nice people, yet Susannah had faced challenges that forced her to grow up and make some decisions earlier than Micah had to. But Micah finally had the chance to mature and to take responsibility for his actions after moving to Goshen. I enjoyed their story so much.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

An Unlikely Amish Match
Vannetta Chapman

An Unlikely Amish Match by bestselling author, Vannetta Chapman, is book five in her Indiana Amish Brides series.

Amish good girl, Susannah Beiler, is worried that newly arrived Amish bad boy, Micah Fisher, will break the heart of one of the young women in her community, so she makes a deal with him. She will pal around with him as long as he doesn’t try to date any of the eligible girls in the community. Micah agrees, a friendship arises and both Susannah and Micah learn things about each other that shatter their preconceived notions.

An Unlikely Amish Match is a great read. Ms. Chapman has added another masterpiece to her list of Amish novels. The plot is interesting and unexpected, holding the reader’s attention from start to finish. The emotions evoked range from awww to ahhh, sweet to surprising. This is a 5 out of 5 star read, and I recommend it to all readers of chaste romance, especially Amish romance.

My thanks to HARLEQUIN – Romance and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.

This is the fifth book in the Indiana Amish Brides series. I recommend reading all of them.
The author's work really shines in the latest installment in this series.
Circumstances and our environment shapes the person we become so when Susannah Beiler experiences an emotional life changing experience it matures her more quickly than other young ladies her age.
Micah Fisher is the new Amish bad boy in town, living with his grandparents he's counting the days til he can get out of town . When Susannah agrees to date him it's with the intentions of keeping the other young madels in the community safe from his bad boy ways. At least this is what she tells herself but her heart may just not have received the memo.
I enjoyed seeing how circumstances matured Micah in a hurry as he gets his priorities straightened out.

An Unlikely Amish Match ( An Indiana Amish Bride #5)
By: Vannetta Chapman
This is a Love Inspired Inspirational Romance and I really loved it. Loved the characters ,both were well written. A young Amish man , Micah, is sent to live with his grandparents for awhile to see if it will help him to settle down from his running around. Susannah is the Bishop’s daughter and she is willing to pretend to date Micah herself so he will not hurt the hearts of the single women. What about her heart? Will this work out or is she asking for trouble ?
I was given a complimentary copy of this book, but was not told that Had to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this sweet book. I loved the messages that were in it.
Sometimes it takes time and maybe some life lessons to make us grow up in in a hurry. I know it did me. I don't really care for changes like that but then I don't think none of us do.
I'm so glad the Lord Jesus is with us always no matter what life throws at us. He is my best friend and I love to let people know that.
Life is screwy sometimes. But you know what? In a way, I'm glad it is! It would certainly be very boring if everything were the same.
Nature can also bring changes that people might not want but there again Jesus is the way, truth and life. We need only to ask.
I think I liked Micah's grandfather the best. Tough love is what my grandma used to say. I thought his daadi was just a little I said little too hard on Micah.
Susannah I can understand but really I am glad she started to open up a little.
I guess it takes the right time and person to help open us up completely.
I would've loved a little more on Micah's grandparents. I didn't feel like they were the great supporting characters they could've been. It's like they were there one minute and the next gone except for the scene at the hospital and even then not much.
I still enjoyed the story and would recommend it to others however.
There were some scenes that made me grin like a Cheshire cat and snicker too.
God knows everything about us. He knows what is going to happen to is before we do!! He sees the big picture where we only see what's in front of us.
I felt that He put Micah right where he needed to be. It only took him a while to realize that
My thanks to Netgalley for a complimentary copy of this book. NO compensations were received and all opinions are my own.

An Unlikely Amish Match is a truly inspiring book of how friendship can help to change a persons life written by Vanetta Chapman in her Indiana Amish Brides series. The author has written another fantastic story full of compassion, friendship, and forgiveness. Her choice of characters make this story really spring to life and keeps the readers interest throughout the entire story.

Susannah Beiler is strong in her faith and follows the rules without question. Micah Fisher who has been dubbed the Amish renegade likes to live life to the fullest without regards to the consequences. When Micah is sent to live with his strict grandparents to straighten out his attitude and grow up he meets the Bishop's daughter, Susannah. This unlikely friendship takes the reader on a journey including one of them spending time in jail. This story had me shaking my head many times but also brought smiles and laughter.

I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others. All opinions are my own.

Congratulations to Vanetta Chapman for writing another fantastic story for her readers enjoyment.

This entertaining book explores the complexities of life when Susanna Beiler has a run in with what she thinks is an Englisch man but soon discovers how wrong she is when Micha Fisher moves in next door. Susanna and Micha are complete opposites. She has become serious beyond her years after a life and death health struggle and Micha is a happy go lucky guy lives for adventure and the freedom to do as he pleases which is why he’s been sent to live with his grandparents. While these two characters get off to a shaky start, they will each undergo a transformation that will changes the way they view their faith and the world around them. I enjoyed Susanna’s 5 year old twin sisters and their adorable antics just as much as I enjoyed Micha’s ingenuity and his zest for life. Wonderful storytelling, lovable characters and a heart warming happily ever after promises a satisfying read for all. I read a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

The author gives us a story of an Amish man who is not wanting to leave his faith, but really not ready to embrace it either. He is sent from his home in Maine to live with his Grandparents in Indiana, with the hopes he will grow up, and at 25 is he running out of time.
I liked the character of Micah, and even if he is still sewing his wild oats, he seems to have a good heart.
We also are offered a young woman who has not had an easy time, she has dealt with a hard time in her young life, but has persevered and love how she goes about her journey, and being the Bishops daughter she does a good job.
Can these two opposites get together? Will Micah’s grandfather accept him as he is? This is a read that will make you think, and be careful and don’t get too comfortable there are some wild obstacles that appear!

I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Harlequin. and was not required to give a positive review.

This was a fun read with Micah and Susannah. Micah’s rebellious attitude and being spoiled by his sisters gave way to his immaturity and not taking responsibility at the age of 25. He was sent to his grandparents in Indiana to instill values and a work ethic but he was still his cocky self. Working for Bishop Beiler gave him an opportunity to interact more with Susannah. She had set herself up to remain single after all she had endured in life. Her decision to be his girlfriend while he was Indiana gave her a chance to enjoy life, even though their activities were questioned by the ministry. There were some unexpected heart pounding events that may just wake individuals up on their view of life. There is a good faith message of God’s love and forgiveness along with individuals learning to find forgiveness for their own actions. “Life was precious, and it was best to take nothing for granted.” I highly recommend this latest Love Inspired book by Chapman to readers.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and was under no obligation to post a review. I have expressed my own opinion.

I know that when I pick up a book by the author , Vannetta Chapman I am in for a good read!! Her unique storytelling style keeps the reader engaged from beginning to end. This book was no disappointment! It met all of my expectations and more!! "An Unlikely Amish Match" is the fifth book in the Indiana Bride Series but like the previous books in the series, it is a standalone.

I immediately fell in love with Susannah, the main character, a flawed human being, just like the rest of us. Yes, she is living in the Amish community however that does not exempt her from problems and challenges, of which she has many. Susannah has had a battle with cancer and is unable to bear children. In a typical Amish family , that can be a very real problem, as the usual is a rather large family. I was drawn into her life as she struggled with the fear of never being good enough to marry . What would a husband think of a wife that could not give him lots of children?? Micah, the "bad" boy enters the scene. I became very protective of my new friend, Susannah , as she decides to keep this unsavory guy away from her friends. Micah is attempting to get rid of his poor reputation and while doing so, he has to make some major decisions. Can Susannah trust him? Would you?? The characters were so realistic and well developed that their rocky road of life became mine . I laughed , I cried and I became frustrated as I traveled alongside them.

The plot is one that grabs your attention and won't let go! There are just enough twists and turns to keep you reading. The element of faith and believing in the good times and the bad are present throughout the novel. There are sweet scenes that will touch the hardest hearts. When Susannah admits her problems to Micah, I was so touchedl God doesn't always give us exactly what we want. It is very true that He never leaves us, but we have to admit our weaknesses and trust Him even in our worst moments. His Forgiveness never abandons us. It is always ready for us. The past can not be allowed to keep us from moving forward in a positive way. Happiness is waiting for us!!

An Unlikely Amish Match by Vannetta Chapman is the fifth book in the Indiana Amish Brides series. Each book in the series can be read on its own. I thought the characters were developed and realistic. I like Vannetta Chapman’s engaging writing style. I was drawn right into the story and just wanted to keep reading to the end. Micah Fisher is twenty-five and has been spoiled by his seven older sisters. He is a rebel with a cocky attitude. Micah is also a hard worker and a quick learner. Susannah told her friend that Micah is “trouble wrapped up in suspenders.” Susannah’s cancer matured her giving her a serious personality. She follows the rules, does her chores, watches her younger twin sisters (they are a handful) and makes beautiful quilts. Micah and Susannah are complete opposites which leads to some humorous and playful moments. I thought it was clever when Micah came up with a way for them to fish at night. There are also some tender scenes that will touch your heart. One of my favorite scenes is when Susannah tells Micah about her cancer and not being able to have children. I like how faith is incorporated into the story. God directs our paths and he puts certain people in our life for a reason. His ways are not our ways. God’s love, forgiveness and prayer are featured Christian elements. We also see that each day is precious, and we should not waste a moment. There is a preview of The Amish Widow’s Hope by Marta Perry at the end of the book. I enjoyed reading An Unlikely Amish Match. I love it when a story leaves me with a smile on my face when I finish it. An Unlikely Amish match is an uplifting story with lively twins, an enterprising Amishman, an earnest maidel, a stubborn grandfather, a compassionate bishop, and surprising situations.

Susannah Beiler strikes a deal with the bad boy in their community to stage a fake relationship. But as she gets to know him, she sees that he's more than a wild rebel, but can he accept her as she is once he learns her secret?

Micah is sent to his Indiana relatives for 6 months after misbehaving, is the baby of a family of girls, and he isn't ready to settle down just yet. He enjoys his pick up truck, and having his fun. He is intrigued by Susannah's proposition and is willing to play along.

Susannah has face her own fair share of storms, which have caused to her mature. She dreams of being like the other girls in the community her age, but knows that can never be.

There were so many great characters in this book, I loved her siblings, and also her father and how he dispenses good measured advice. A fun, enjoyable read from beginning to end, and in a way a sort of coming of age tale. I thought that the characters were realistic and well done, this was a fun, sweet romance, with great character development and depth. Highly enjoyable!

If you enjoy Amish fiction, you’ll want to check this out. And, if you’re just a fan of sweet romances, you’ll want to check it out. Chapman doesn’t disappoint.

This is the fifth book in the Indiana Amish Brides series. It’s a quick read, but it doesn’t feel rushed. The author crafts characters and scenes that are realistic and well-developed. Susannah is easy to root for, and Micah … well, if you enjoy the “bad boys,” you’ll have an affinity for him. Both main characters are flawed, and you can see their growth over the course of the story. The faith element is present, but it’s not preachy. The characters remind the reader that God is always there and won’t leave us.

There’s a sneak peak at The Amish Teacher’s Dilemma by Patricia Davids, which releases in March 2020.

Book #5 of the Indiana Amish Brides was a fun and engaging book. Susannah Beiler has decided to protect the other young Amish women from Micah Fisher. He is definitely not your model Amish man and Susanna decides that the other women won't seek after him if she decides to date him herself.

This was a really good book and has lots of touching and tender moments in it. And there was humor as well. It was one of those reads that you decide to read in one sitting because you don't want to stop reading. Micah was a lovable character even though he doesn't always abide by the strict Amish rules and regulations. There are some surprising twists in the story and the characters grow and learn about themselves and others. Kind of like we do! I enjoyed this story very much.

I received a copy of this book from the author. All thoughts are my own.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading book five in the Indiana Amish Bride series. The story between Susannah and Micah is a bit different than your typical Amish romance stories. Why do you ask? Susannah is recovering from cancer and feels she will never fulfill and Amish man's dreams of a large family. She has let that color her view of her future and at 25 years old feels like an old maid. Micah is straddling the fence between the Englisch world and his Amish upbringing. At 25 years old he wants to be Amish but at the same time cannot find his footing in the Amish world. He thinks outside the box and sometimes that goes against the stricter views of the Ordung. When they team up together they realize they bring out the best in each other.

An Unlikely Amish Match left me full of smiles. Vannetta Chapman has written another beautiful love story that is sure to bring happiness to anyone who reads her newest romance.

If you enjoy Amish fiction then you know a book by Vanetta Chapman won’t disappoint. This one lived up to my expectation! Being a Love Inspired book it was a quick read, but still had depth to it.

The characters are well developed and likeable. Micah has a bad boy reputation and it’s time for him to grow up and make some decisions. Susannah doesn’t trust him. You know that’s a recipe for innocent romance.

As always there is a faith element throughout the story, written in a natural way. After all, faith is an important part of the Amish way of life. When tragedy strikes, both Susannah and Micah are reminded that God is always there for us. Families are challenged and reunited. Life is difficult but good. Can good come from a strict grandfather and wayward grandson? Read it and find out!

This book was very good and teaches you not to judge people by the way they look or dress and sometimes the way they act.Susannah is a young Amish woman who survived cancer and thinks she will never meet someone and get married as she isn't able to have children. A new Amish man comes to town and doesn't dress or act like the Amish in her community and she thinks he is trouble! When she really gets to know him and what is in his heart will she change her mind about love?

AN UNLIKELY AMISH MATCH by Vannetta Chapman is the fifth book in the Indiana Amish Brides series. It’s the wonderful story of Susannah Beile in an Amish community in Goshen, IN.

Having survived cancer, but losing the ability to have children and the man she loved in the process, she thinks she has nothing to offer in a marriage and destined to remain single. How can she ask an Amish man not to have the joy of a family when most Amish have large families? Plus her pain of rejection from the last man in her life causes her to be leery of men in general. When Micah Fisher comes to town, with a reputation to boot, she is determined to keep him away from the young unmarried girls in town, even if it means sacrificing her time by being his pretend date while he’s here.

Micah was the baby of the family and maybe babied too much. Never having had any real responsibilities, he always had a way of finding trouble. As a way of trying to get him to grow up and act like an adult, his father has sent him off packing to his grandparents to see how real life is hoping that some hard work will finally make a man of him. Micah can’t figure out what Susannah’s problem with him is or why his grandfather seems to automatically look at him as a failure, but he agreed to a 6 month stay on the farm – so here he will stay.

Taking Susannah on her offer to be his “date” while he’s in town, he’s determined to make the best of it and see if he can turn her around in the process. However, he’s leaving at the end of his time, so he needs to remember that no matter how cute she is. At least in her company, he can have a little fun in town. Can he tear down the walls around Susannah’s heart? Does he want to? Can he prove his reputation wrong and be seen for the man he wants to be? Will Susannah start to see another side of Micah? Will her duty to spend time with him turn to attraction? Must she guard her heart knowing this is only a temporary stopover for him? Can she get over her fear of the cancer coming back or that she’s unworthy of a happy future with a man in her life?

AN UNLIKELY AMISH MATCH is a fabulous inspirational story of faith, trust, hope and love. It shows us we have to have faith that God has a plan for us, trust that God has us in his hands, believe and have hope for the future and to open ourselves up to love – from God and our fellow man. While everyone had Susannah and Micah’s characters pegged a certain way, we are shown that first impressions are often in error. That the true character of a person is through their actions and their feelings of the heart and not as dictated by others or gossip. Although part of a series, AN UNLIKELY AMISH MATCH can most definitely be read as a standalone book. It’s a book that will having you shaking your head at two opposites that can’t see what a perfect couple they could be. Then it takes you through the obstacle course that each think they have to travel only to find out that things aren’t as they sometimes seem. And then it will have you smiling happily by the end of this feel good book full of faith and romance. A big FIVE STARS reading!

Vannetta Chapman has written many lovely Amish stories, and I’ve enjoyed all of them. Susannah’s story, however, touched my heart in a special way.

Sometimes our past can keep us from moving forward into the plan that God has for us. This was true for Susannah, with her recovery from cancer. Since she could not have children, she sometimes felt that she was “damaged” and wondered if she should ever marry. Micah struggled with meeting the expectations of others and felt as if he could never live up to what his family expected of him. He wanted to continue to live his carefree life. When Susannah and Micah meet, they look at life from two opposite points of view. Susannah is more serious; Micah is more light-hearted. They soon realize they belong together, but they must first go through some unexpected circumstances together to truly grasp the beautiful future that God has for them.

The author has given us a story full of faith, hope, and love. I was again challenged to trust God with all aspects of my life.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I absolutely loved this book. The characters were amazing and detailed. I read this in a new publication with another book by another author but I wanted to review this here. I’m a cancer survivor so I know what it’s like to feel lost and afraid when the diagnosis comes. Even as a Christian, it’s a scary time. But Susannah has so much more to deal with. She’s amazing and kind and considerate. I love the way she cares for her little sisters. The little girls are described so clearly that I can see their sweet faces. And Micah; what a character. I so enjoyed watching him change. This is a beautiful story of hope and restoration and second chances. It was republished in 2021 by Love Inspired in a 2 volume book. I highly recommend this book. I really like this author and want to read everything she writes. Even though this book is part of a series, it is totally a stand alone book. You don’t need to read the other books in this collection to feel connected.

I have fallen in love with Mrs. Chapman's stories from the first time I read one about five years ago.
In this story Susannah Beiler feels it is her duty to protect other young women from the bad boy in town. Yes, she is going to date him herself.
As the saying goes, 'No good deed goes unpunished'. And as Susannah finds out it's always better to let the Lord solve a "problem."
I loved this story and it's quirks and turns. Even in this cozy romance of Amish life Mrs. Chapman finds a way to surprise the reader with a twist in plot.
A love story like none other. And such a fun way to let go of life's problems for an afternoon.

An Unlikely Amish Match is a short Love Inspired novel by author Vannetta Chapman.

Micah Fisher promised his parents he would spend six months with his Amish grandparents so they could straighten him out. Micah was used to dressing, and living, like an Englisher and was a coddled son.

Upon arriving in Goshen, Indiana, he meets Sharon, Shiloh, and Susannah Beiler, daughters of the local bishop. Sharon and Shiloh were intrigued by him, Susannah wanted nothing to do with him. Yet, she promised to be his pal so he would leave her girlfriends alone.

I felt sorry for Micah because he really did put in an effort to change but his daddi would not accept him. When something happened beyond Micah’s control his daddi wouldn’t let him explain. The Bishop was more understanding than the daddi.

This book is more about relationships and how we can get along with our differences. It had a satisfying, yet emotional ending.
